You don't need working drivers for that video - it's Liverpool - they always play in slow motion anyway so no problems with camera lag

Interestingly that endgadget article has a post that this phone does not actually run Windows Mobile... but some sort of rip-off.
Other sites that sell the device don't state WM6 (or any version) on their features list.
Does M$ charge alot for putting WM on a device? If so that could be one reason for the low price.
Plus it only has a 30 day warranty, I believe the tilt has a 1 year(?)

Uses "some sort of Windows Mobile operating system". The real one is already a buggy mess, go figure that one...LOL

I bet it will perform better than the Kaiser, and I'm not kidding (sadly).

It will probably perform better than the Kaiser because it is using a basic OS that is more like a calculator than a Windows Mobile.
So, it probably boots up in 5 seconds, switches apps in a fraction.
But it also probably doesn't have TouchFlo, PIE, or many of the other features that make the Kaiser/Tilt nice.
It is like any of the other numerous phones out there on the market (like from Verizon) that have a slide out keyboard with a proprietary OS.
This of course is assuming the statements above about it not being WM6 are true. If it indeed runs WM6 then I am sure the performance will be equivalent to the Kaiser.

The world’s first 3D laptops hit shelves Sunday, and with a price of $2,648 each, it remains to be seen whether they are really worth shelling out that kind of cash. Samsung is behind the new 3D laptop with Compatible Parts . It is a version of the company’s Series 7 gaming laptop, which has been updated to include a “SuperBright” 1920×1080 3D LED display.
The popular tech blog reported the high-priced laptop on Monday, but added a very important caveat, which is the fact that a spokesman for Samsung has said that there are no plans to release a 3D laptop in the United States. So far it is only available in Asia.
The computer, which sports a bold bright yellow cover, has a Blu-ray drive to allow for 3D movie watching, and is all driven by an AMD Radeon HD 7870M graphics card that Samsung says is made for gaming, a 128GB solid-state drive and 1-terabyte hard disk, Laptop Keyboard , CNET reported.
The 3D laptop also features Intel Core i7-3610QM CPU, and has three three-core processors and other Compatible Parts .
Three-dimensional technology has been increasing in popularity in recent years, especially after “Avatar” became one of the most-successful films in history by taking advantage of 3D’s ability to make a visually impressive movie even more fascinating.

I wouldn't pay it. 3D is a stupid gimmick.

I know this is General Android discussion but placing post here to share because its where I hang and mainly because of HTCOne's limited storage options. I hope mods dont move this as I know it could get lost and never seen elsewhere by the Sprint HTCone users. Sharing with the Sprint Folks
I have nothing to do with the guide, just think its pretty cool and passing it on. Yah, I know OTG cables exist and so does the original author....but look how small it is and with no cable :good: I heard chatter someone on XDA made one of these but never posted a detailed "how to". Here ya go
The Project
The goal of this project was to simply design and create a portable memory unit for Android devices. OTG adapter cables exist, and allow you to mount external memory on your Android device. This project was designed to accompany mounting the existing functionality; mainly targeting Android users with a device lacking expandable storage. OTG host cables and a flash drive fulfill this hole. However, the major downside being the bulk of such a setup.
As a Nexus 7 user, I too feel the growing pains that come along with fixed storage. As far as I know no commercial solution currently exists. The closest relative would be the Sandisk Cruzer Fit which is designed for standard USB-A ports. Thus, I needed to create something of my own, preferably something simple so that the DIY community could also reap the benefits of the design.
To save you the trouble of scrolling all the way to the end of this post like so many other guides, I will share the finish product picture right here so you know exactly what you'll be making.

[GAME][Android 4.0+] Sic Semper

I'm close to finishing my new game, "Sic Semper". It's a space exploration and combat game with a randomized galaxy of 200 stars, each with a random number of planets(between 1 and 5), each with randomly generated terrain.
For the backstory: Humanity was almost entirely conquered by an alien race called the Ypetigan shortly after achieving interstellar travel. All that was left was a single secret facility working on a ship that would be capable of defending itself against the Ypetigan. The player takes command of that ship to rebuild human civilization by colonizing planets, expanding across the galaxy, and eliminating the Ypetigan.
Sic Semper features 7 different ship types, 6 weapon types, 4 types of turrets and 12 component upgrades. Initially, Sic Semper will be released for Android, but I also plan to release on basically any platform I can(I've made proof-of-concept ports of older builds to ubuntu using Qt and Chrome native client).

Finally, for a little technical info: The game uses my own custom gameplay and graphics engine using OpenGL ES 2.0. I wrote all the code myself(hence the > 2 years of development), got the ship models from turbosquid and the sound effects are modified versions from Freesound.org. I'm planning on releasing to the Play Store initially(probably 1-2 months down the road) and then Ouya(I already have controller support and have tested it successfully on Ouya). Then I'll probably port it to PC and possibly Chrome Native Client.

I'm now ready to open up a beta. PM me your google account(invitations have to go through google+) and I'll send an invite to the beta test(This will happen in stages, first come first serve).

Samsung DeX Laptop from a Pi-Top V2

Hi,
Just been tinkering with a Pi-Top V2 and some cables/other bits and now have a Samsung DeX laptop with a 14 inch 1080P display.
Needs a few more bits before it's more polished but thought I'd post my initial project and will post updates as they occur.
More details on the Pi-Top forum where I describe what's needed to make it all work.
Ok, have added the following enhancements:
1. Dual USB-2 hub - provides 2 x USB ports at the rear where the Raspberry PI middle ports would be
2. USB-C socket - this means no wires come out of the unit - a USB-C to USB-C cable (with 4K video capability) is used to connect the unit to the smartphone
To do
1. See if I can get some speakers into the unit or use extenal pocket USB speakers
2. Alternative would be to somehow breakout the audio from the HDMI signal and feed that to an internal amp and speakers - not sure there would be room for the electronics but will take a look

Can you post or send me pictures if you have any from before you threw the insulation tape on? I wanted to get a better look at the parts where you have to cut the usb cable and connect to the GPIO.
