[Q] Unlocked HD7 on Telus - NO internet. - HD7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just unlocked my HTC HD7 to work on the Telus Network.
I can SMS, Phone, wireless etc. However I have no INternet. the "H" is showing on the status bar - but nothing happening.
Any advice?

No Internet
Was this a telus phone originally? Or is it a T-Mobile from ebay.

It was from Bell -> Telus.
I found the issue - my APN settings were not correct

Unlocked Rogers Dream

I am brand new to this site and this is my first post so please bear with a newbie. Just got a great deal online for a new Rogers HTC Dream. I bought an unlock code in order to use the phone with Telus my current carrier. I bought a sim card and had my plan changed to a data plan. Now here's the part that is frustrating me, I can not access the Telus data network. The phone works fine for phoning and text messaging, wifi works great, but if I try to access mobile data network I get "No network Connection". I checked with Telus added the Telus APN settings and set as default and still no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Do you have a 3G or H icon in the Notification bar?
Unfortunately I have neither.
Try getting the Telus APN settings. Then go to APN settings and add it in. This SHOULD work.
APNhav
I called Telus tech support, HTC support and setup the Telus apn and it is set as the default all before posting here. However I still can't access the data network. Will I have to root the phone in order to access the data network?

Why can my Hermes get a signal but my Dream can't?

Hi, I recently moved to Canada and while waiting for my unlock code for my Dream I've been using my Hermes with little-to-no issues. I received my unlock code today and successfully unlocked my Dream (From T-Mobile) but when I turn on my phone and insert the same SIM card that works in the Hermes it doesn't get a signal.
In the access point screen it sees the "Rogers Wireless" network, but I'm unable to connect to it.
My service provider is Telus.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The rom I'm using is Dwang's.
Recheck your APN settings.

[Q] Problem unlocking network when using pin, could it be a mod?

I currently have an Incredible S

RADIO - 3005.06.03.16_M

Just purchased unlock code which is "successfully" unlocking networks, yet telus sim card is not able to find networks on my originally bell locked phone. Could it be the mod? Any help is appreciated.

Which network are you referring to? The cellular network or the data network?
If you can make calls, but not get a data connection, it may be that you need to create a APN for your network.
No network seems to be operational cellular or data. after entering the received unlock code, I get the message that the network has successfully been unlocked but it does not connect to a network. Does this usually take time? I was thinking it should be instantaneous.

Try resetting your APN to default, it should pick up the correct APN, or see if there are settings for it on your providers website.
Sent from my Incredible Jelly Bean
went into APN settings and selected telus my sim card's provider. Has not changed anything, tried searching for a mobile network and Rogers came up but will not be connected to. Had bought the phone used and was told it was connected to bell originally so I used that info when purchasing unlock code. Is it possible that providing the wrong locked to network is stopping it from connecting now?

Can't connect to 3G

Dear Members,
I just got my HTC ONE from my dad it's a T mobile version. I got a SIM from the provider HI and the seller sad to me the phone is simlock free.
I can make calls and connect to WIFI but 3G doesn't work... I changed all settings in mobile internet, changed providers but can'tget i to work.
I can choose HI or KPN NL but 3g doesn't fire up. Status of my mobile connection is in Dutch: 'Verbinding verbroken' in english something like 'connection lost'.
Could'nt find a way to add APN manually? (never had to do this before on my sensation or Desire HD)
The phoneshop cut my normal sim into a micro one... Could this be the problem? (On my old sensation with a sim adapter i still get 3G automatically)
Or must i flash a latest WWE radio? (don'nt wanna root yet)

Thanks in advance!
Fixed it by:
- Installing apn tweaker from playstore
- followed instruction brought me in apn add settings of android
- found apn settings from provider site
- add the APN now working!

No 3G on unlocked Sprint HTC one M8 in Spain

I have a HTC One M8 sprint that i bought on Ebay, i have no problem to make and receive calls after i unlocked it but there is no mobile internet.
My APN Settings is correct, however i only have the option of bearer: LTE or eHRPD or Unspecified
When i search for networks on my normal phone i always get two options:
Movistar 2G
Movistar 3G
Vodafone 2G
Vodafone 3G
and the other networks here.
On the HTC that i sim unlocked i only get:
Movistar
Vodafone
Orange
There is no indication on if it is 2G or 3G.
*#*#4636#*#*
Have set it at GSM Auto PRL and restarted the phone, i have also tried all other network types without success.
Under Phone Info i get Current Network Movistar
GPRS Disconnected (Cant seem to activate that)
GSM: In Service
Network Type: Unknown
I have tried different radios, but no one has worked and they all end up with the phone entering a loop where it restarts and cant recognice the SIM card.
Mobile Network Settings:
Network mode: GSM/UMTS Only
Allow GSM Data: Ticked the box
Is there anyone who has been in the same situation and who has found a solution?
I have seen a number of posts where people say that they cant get data but calls is working, but the only resolution that people has offered is to set the GSM Auto PRL and restart the phone, that has not worked for me.
Very happy for any help that you can give!
Thanks
