I have a problem to update these programs.
My cellphone is connected via USB port or Wi-Fi connection, activesync 4.5 installed.
I do not succeed to connect Internet via usb or wi-fi.
Please write the step by step.

Currently using WGSpoelstra's Gingerbread v3.5. Everything works great but unable to tether using the usb connection. I can select the option to enable usb tethering in the phone but notebook does not register the selection. Stock rom doesn't have this problem.
Does CM 7 based roms have problem on usb tethering? Any help is greatly appreciated.

i installed froyobeard v023b on my x8
everything seems ok but tethering via USB doesn't work (try also barnacle via wifi, the wifi hotspot is ok but win says me "connection problems"
i tried to search inside the forums and google but i can't solve this problem
i connect usb cable and try to active tethering but it doesn't work
any solutions?

I use [ROM] MitRa Rom V5.2 [JW1][2.3.6]|- Graphical-Stable-Fast (Persian Support)04Jan] on my Galaxy S (I9000) but I cannot connect with ad-hoc
I try some patch in the web it can see ad-hoc but cannot connect
It's still in the Obtaing IP address loop T_T

Use attached file. After trying connection to adhoc wi-fi.Looks like a nothing happen.Doesnt apear any wi-fi symbol on notification bar but it connected. you can connect to the internet with opera. This file for froyo roms but limited working on gingerbread. Maybe somebody try and modified on it.

try this version. i use it on 2.3.6 jvz and works fine. the only problem is that it disconnects after first try of getting ip, but after that remains connected permanently.

it see * in front of name of ad-hoc
when I press connect, it shows nothing just show "remember"

the same happends to my galaxy s. it says remember, the u turn wifi off. then u turn wifi on, and it will get ip, first will fail, and the will get it corectly. and it will remain permanently connected. the (*) means that the connection is AD-HOC. i know its kinda buggy but its the best option we have now. i've searched the whole google and i couldn't find a better version. enjoy.

So, now i will use it til the new one comes
i just flashed the latest official rom 2.3.6 jvu. and now the wpa_supplicant doesn't work anymore. i rolled back to jvz (ad-hoc worked there with this modified wpa_supplicant), and now it doesn't work at all. i turn on wifi (it turns on really slow), and it doesn't see any wifi connection. any solutions guys? please

Can anyone build wpa_supplicant supporting ad-hoc wifi for 4.0.3 or CM9.
The files are not working on gingerbread 2.3.6, kernel xxjw4, SE INFRA. Could someone please make it work? thanks

I have Indian K20 Pro device. which was updated to MIUI-V11.0.1.0.QFKINXM manually.
After the update, I am NOT able to use the USB tethering functionality. I can switch on the USB tethering, but the internet does not work on my laptop. I get "UNIDENTIFIED NETWORK" message on my laptop.
This functionality was working fine before the update on MIUI 10.
Please help.
Same thing happens for me. Pls report this to them. I already did. So that they can look into the matter

I ve same problen and I fixed that with usb debbuging,
go to developer mode, tap several time in MIUI version, and the go to additional setting, tap on usb debugging, and scroll down, find default usb, choose usb tethering, done
