please help
Factory Reset darky's rom
You can reset darky's rom from the privacy menu....it will reset settings and data, but you will still be using the darky's rom!!!
Please specify: Do you want to go back to the original/stock firmware, or you want to just delete data for performance?
revert back to original
could you please help i am currently using darkyrom jvq v10.2.2 and kernel version 2.6.35.7-I9000xxjvq-cl281085 [email protected]#darkcore_2.9.3_jvq and fermware version 2.3.4 and would like to revert back to original/stock firmware.
thanks
Download stock 2.3.3 firmware from http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9000&r=1#regiona ...
It's original stock firmware and flash it with odin 1.3 or whatever. It will reset everything to stock.
Going back to stock
I use this topic to go back to stock from any custom rom....
I prefer using 2.3.5....

Hello everyone.
I'm kinda new to this forum so hello everyone. Ok.. yesterday i flash my galaxy s with Darky's Resurrection Edition v9.2 through odin. everything goes well, no worries.
But.. i wnt to know how can i go back to my original firmware which is 2.2 froyo. i download my orginal firmware file and i knw how to flash..
bt i have some questions..
1. do i need to wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache partition like before install darky's rom?
2. Do i need to tick re-partition button coz i have only one file?
hope someone help me
Thanks.
It is a good idea to clean your data partition, so you get a clean fresh install. What may happen if you don't do it is that you will keep any settings and apps from Darky's ROM, which can probably fail with the stock ROM.
Repartition is not always necessary. You should check if the previous pit file is compatible with the ROM you're trying to flash. Most ROMS uses 512.pit, so If you've flashed Darky's with 512.pit and the new ROM also requires 512.pit, then no need to repartition.
Problems after bad flash custom rom etc I always flash stock Eclair pit 512 and repartition checked then flash stock Froyo or update via Kies .
Stock is not your original firmware its the firmware provided by Samsung to the network phone provider before they customize it or not .
But if you followed instructions and saved your original firmware you just flash that back .

Thanks a lot guys..
I currently flashed Darky Rom 9.6 on my phone and live in Aus. To do this i installed a japanese rom and then a kernal and then the darky zip. I want to go back to stock so i can flash the official gingerbread to try it on the phone. Do i have to do anything special due to flashing a kernal and another rom? Is there a quide on how to go back as i found a quide to flash to darky but not back to stock.
well you need to flash a stock firmware with all 3 files and 512 pit.
this will remove any file system conversion caused by darky / voodoo kernel.
head over to www.samfirmware.com and find the firmware for your region, flash it through odin ( instructions on site ) and then take the path to gingerbread
it is also better that you remove/disable any lagfix if it has already been applied.
also remember that after installing the stock rom, you will then need a stock gingerbread rom with a bootloader..
good luck
i want to flash again stock kernel Gingerbread 2.3.3 DXJV9.
i still have the stock kernel and odin but i dont have an idea how to do it.
i have done flashing through Odin but my phone it did not boot, so i have to flash CF-root again.
my current config is:
Firmware: Gingerbread 2.3.3 DXJV9
Kernel: CF-Root-XW_XEE_JVB-v3.1-CWM3RFS
with the current kernel im getting bootloops everytime i open wifi and i am forced to factory reset in CWM 3.
so please help...
any solution on this?.... please.
you can download dxjv9 stock rom then try to flash kernel/PDA only without re-partition and...
I think you can get it from ramad thread.

Hey guys. I need a SAFE tutorial on how to flash back to my Stock ICS ROM. Currently Im on ICS Stunner. I just wanna be safe by asking this question. Bcoz i saw alot of people getting problems flashing back to stock rom.
PC Odin is the safest way
Make sure to do a wipe after flashing stock GB with Odin. Do not wipe/factory reset before the operation while on stock ICS.
any guide on how to do it? thanks.
I Flashed coderom from tutorial and now i want to go back to stock rom..
My question iso i need to unroot my phone or just flash stock rom from samfirmware via odin?
Thanks
flashing a stock rom will get rid of root so just flash stock rom with odin
Flash it with Odin then everything is erased so nothing will be on your device except a stock ROM no addons.
Thanks guys
