Hi, I was testing my phone specs and I just downloaded quadrant I dont know if my phone has a double core proccesor or just one core
see the pictures
Please see the pictures I can't post link meh
Use cf benchmark. Its more reliable. Besides, quadrant doesnt recognise dual core afaik.

Hello everyone,
Is a benchmark score of around 40000 a good score on our ace. The only thing that i can compare was my pc and it has around 360000. So it was not really helpfull

is my score so incredible or what, im using only the apocalypse rom and the stock browser???????
When you start a topic like this you should recall the name of the app you used to benchmark your phone, as there is plenty of them.

Use Quadrant Standard or Antutu, most people use this, so you'll get a score you can compare with everyone else.
I have had a maximum of 2200 on quadrant standard with barebones CM7, and a 1600 with the Apocalypse now.
Why does benchmarks matter so much to you guys.....
You're like using light to test the darkness
And using darkness to test the light

Having previosly owned the htc evo 3d the devs in that forum had managed to uncap the fps our screen was limited to and also make there dual core processor always on only to improve benchmarks ect for the latter one i was just wondering if this is at all possible on our galaxy note. Any help or advice would b great.

Dual core on all the time?? Don't tell me you have a nuclear reactor the size of a Battery
If u look at the apps i posted the one by anryl tweaks the second core so u can set it independently. u can install the anryl app but im not sure it does anything when u apply any of the Tweaks. Maybe one of oir devs will take a look at this and decide it might be usefull/or not.

You can for example use the app "2nd Core", available on Play Store to set both cores On. It will work on some kernels but not all. Im sorry to say I can't advice about fps limits though, I don't know anything about it yet.

13329 seems a little weak for overclocked. I was thinking it could be more in the 13500+ area when out of the box you can get 12800+
Quads don't really mean that much overall but I was thinking it could be higher overclocked.

Its (non) OC just with the Performance Kernel, but it runs with stock clocks !!
@ xxsoulxx, got ya. I really expect some pretty high overclocked results for sure. This phone is a beast and when it gets unleashed a bit...WOW!!!

I have not actually rooted. It seems pretty stable to do so I just have not took the plunge yet. I am still kinda testing out what they gave me out of the box. Rooting and supporting the developers by me will happen soon though....
I dont have screenshots here to post, but using Quadrant on my new HTC One, i regularly get scores of 12,000 +.
What the HTC One needs to make it complete is for a modder to make a graduated volume slider that goes up to 11 .... LOL

I did another run, this time with ARHD 7.1 and the New TeaMSeven performance kernel v3.8 = NON OC !! :good:

You shouldn't rely on benchmarks! Is power saver turned on?

Make sure to close all apps in recent apps. Those that's getting 12 to 13k benchmark results reboot their phones 1st before doing the benchmarks. And power saver should be off when doing it.
As has been said countless times quadrant scores mean absolutely nothing whatsoever.

It means nothing to an average user but it means everything for a true gamer. I mean like in your PC. Having high benchmark scores is useless for a person who only use his computer to facebook, twitter, video streaming, edit documents etc.
But for those who use adobe products, Play high end games, Run emulators etc. Every bit of it means everything.
So please guys don't apply the "Benchmarks score means nothing" to every user you find here in xda because each and everyone of us here uses our device differently.
Benchmarks are an important tool. If you think otherwise, you are the tool.

Benchmarks are only useful if you know the governors set in the kernel will trigger a higher performance mode. If it doesn't, then benchmarks will just show there's either a weird kernel setting, and not raw performance.
Yes, they are absolutely not a be all and end all. They are a tool, and like any tool you need to know how to use them.

You can now jack off on those numbers. Congratulations.
Quadrant scores can be manipulated and are inacurates. The truth is you really cant rely on benchmarks like quadrant. I still dont understand people who do quadrant scores wars... Go away *****

For what its worth still getting 12.000 on ARHD 12.0. Quadrant is a outdated test which doesn`t say much about performance of the phone. Its real user xperience that counts imo. Did you close all cached progs before running the test?
Nor ill clear caches to c what happens and its real quick on real life basis ill come back with results

Well im getin still getin 4thousand o quadrant its the cpu whats letting it down on the tests may i ask what set up do u use to get 12thousand on quadrant

Power Saver caps the CPU speeds at 1.1GHz.. and MSM-DCVS is not the best gov for most applications.
