Gaming TV - Off-topic

I have an HDTV but it doesn't look as crisp as is id like, especially with gaming. Any ideas where to get an affordable HDTV? ( $400-$600)

You can get an awesome 51 inch plasma on Amazon for $630

I just got a 32" vizio from Walmart for 268+tax. 2 HDMI inputs, components, and ryw inputs. Its in a green box. Not sure of the model # off hand. Great buy though. Sounds great too.

I've had amazing luck with LG tvs. Mine is only a 32" LCD with 720p, but it looks amazing. I would recommend checking out their TVs. They usually have some good deals if you find them here. Check around there and elsewhere to see if you can get a good price on them.

This is the one I have. the screen burn in isn't an issue anymore.

Just throwing numbers at you to make more money huh. The odd thing is that my TV is supposed to only support up to 720P but my xbox and PS3 both work on the 1080P option

My xbox also works in the 1080p setting also, but I can't tell the difference. All I know is that playing bf3 or skyrim on this TV looks amazing.

You can't tell the difference because the 360 renders at 720 and upscale to 1080.

Thoughts on the PS Vita?

Its almost the same price as a ps3, so can't justify getting one over an ps3....
Otherwise, it seems to be the perfect hand held gaming console ever made to date...
Already have a ps3. But I'm interested in it. Would like to check one out in person. Seems pretty awesome.

I have an old DS Lite & even Game Boy Advance SP to run all my oldies.
What i'm looking the most in handled console is the autonomy. So if the Vita can run long enough and if the line up is good why not

To me, its nothing special. Sure its got a large touch screen, and its probably more powerful than the 3ds, but I'd never buy a Portable PS again.

Since i have got PS3 and Ipod touch i don't need it. And games are too expensive. I can buy Ps3 games in that price and they are better.

[DEAL] HTC Watch Films - 5p!

Those of you running Sense 3.X ROMs are in for a treat.
HTC are doing an Easter Special Weekend, and they have discounted 52 films to just 5p (to rent though ) - Think of it as going to the cinema for 5p Some of the latest films are on show!
Fire up the HTC Watch app, and set up an account.
Some top titles include:
Paranormal Activity 3, Transformers, Hostel, Harry potter, Hangover, Exorcist etc.
Hope you guys found this helpful
Downloaded hostel 1,2,3 harry potte, p activity 3 and Friday the 13th! In for a great weekend with girlfriend

Hehe
Nice, are you watching it on your DHD? Or have you got a DLNA TV etc?
Can you comment on the video quality please?
Where does the video download to - the SD card? Technically, couldn't you copy the file to the PC, so when it expires, you can just restore the file?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Using DLNA...would be a bit awkward to sit there and watch it on my dhd with my girlfriend the video quality is really good, DVD quality. I had the idea to try and store it on my pc but it doesn't work. The film doesn't save to the sd card..you download it over htc's servers and the download stays on the servers! The film requires a licence to be started (which you get once you purchase the film). So in theory, even if you somehow get the film into your pc, it wouldn't work without the licence :/

You don't need a data conection to watch it so I guess its not actually streaming...the file is just saved to the servers! Not sure how it works but my experience has been good

It has the same processor as the GNex, with an open source operating system. Full Android will probably be running on it within a month. Sounds better than a smart tv in a much more aesthetically pleasing device with nfc.

It is aesthetically pleasing. Why would I need Android in a tv box when I have it in my hand? Short of a DVR function, the only thing I need it to do is wirelessly stream media from my hand to the TV. $99 is the price point for that, not $299. And I was never sold on the "everybody can use it" thing either, unless I'm coming to your house and jacking your stereo lol.

Yeah the everybody can use it thing is bs. I just like the idea of a Pseudo android device that I can use my phone and tablet as a wireless control for without having to use proprietary apps.
The Q is on my list. Its pretty neat but with my mhL adapter and mk802 android mini PC I'm not needing it just yet.

New Atrix HD Owner...

Great device. I don't mind MotoBlur at all. If AOKP (my fav) was available I don't know if I'd even use it. I have root and that's all I need. Tons of bad reviews and I don't get why yet. Screen is second to only the One X. I've had just about any and every of the top popular devices you can think of. I'm sure I'll be on to the Note 2 once ATT drops it too, but the Atrix HD is great at it's price point. The internal storage is the only downside. It's fast and snappy stock. IMHO Moto has passed up HTC (bloaty, but highly functional and experience changing) for the best stock experience. The clock/weather/battery widget is so useful, screenshots don't do it justice. It's more than just time, weather and battery. The ability to swipe up on messaging, phone and other icons and see a quick (don't know what to call it) status area is great. The hardware is fantastic. All i needed was a different camera app and all is good.
If Moto was more "mod" and had 16gb storage this device would be an XDA favorite easy!!!
edit: BTW most of all the device is beautiful
Couldnt have said it better myself. With the battery mod and camera fix options, this is an AWESOME phone

CameraZoomFX Best 3.00 you'll spend in a long time!!
And correction this screen> The One X screen. I have both phones and the picture is more clear and sharp on the AHD. This screen is the same as the iPhone 5. Put them side by side like I did. They're both the same pixel, clarity and resolution wise. The AHD is the phone to have now.
Be sure to get:
64GB class 10 micro SD card
CameraZoomFX app
RazrMaxx battery
And don't look back
They're so cheap on eBay too, i was looking for a phone for a friend. He wanted to spend less than $250 on a phobe with a nice screen and decent specs... ATRIX HD was unbeatable for the price.
