The sentence above is what i saw in the recovery mode.
Below is my device info:
Model Number: GT-I9000
Firmware version: 2.3.3
Baseband version: I9000DXJV9
Kernal version: 2.6.35.7-I9000DXJV9-CL216763 [email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.DXJV9
I do some research on the internet but seems like most of the device that having same problem are different model, they have the solution too, but i'm not risking before asking you guys as the professional.

If there was already a solution, dont get ad at me, i had done the search on the forum

I'm trying to install the DocRambone series on my Samsung Galaxy S, but when I get to HOWTO#1 it says:
"2.Select the PDA/Modem/CSC/.PIT files in Odin. (.PIT and PDA are required. CSC and Modem are HIGHLY recommended. They may be necessary depending on the PDA! Try flashing all three BEFORE reporting bugs, if you only used one initially!)"
Now, the .PIT file I've already found(I chose the 512 since I understand that the 513 is for older versions and 803 is for Froyo). But I don't know where to find the other things, meaning PDA, CSC and Modem? Which ones should if pick(if there is more than one) and why?
If they are on my phone already, how do I mount them in Odin?
My firmware version is
PDA: I9000XWJM2
Phone: I9000XXJM1
CSC: I9000NEEJM1
Thanks alot

Anyone who can help me?
Which Version Froyo? It sounds like you like to flash Froyo..
ok
You must make a Clean Stock Froyo Install.. I think u choose XXJPK take the files at the Tut..! ;D And then you can flash the "Custom Rom" via update.zip
Think thats it is what u mean..
I'm not flashing Froyo, I'm flashing for DocRomboe which is 2.1 (I think?) .. but like I said, the guide sais what I said above.. I need to find PDA, CSC and modem files, because (accordimg to the guide) Odin needs those files.. I'm following the big faq guide, so if anyone could tell me what to do, I'd appreciate it

Oh come on, I really wanna do this soon !!
Read the Docrombone thread again and see what rom it is for. Its a mod. Now go find the rom it wants, something like say JM5 or JM8? do a search and you'll see people link it. Or goto http://www.samfirmware.com/ and make a account to view the firmwares there. I have no idea what rom that mod wants since you are the one wanting to install it
If you are looking for MODEM and CSC files specifically for 2.1, you can pull the ones from Richthofen's post here
-OR-
If you want to maintain your JM1 MODEM/CSC files, like the above poster suggested, visit Samfirmware
I upgraded to the latest version of froyo jpk without bavking up anything, is it possible for me to downgrade back to official 2.1? thanks in advance .

I know that's definitely wrong!
Phone = Modem - I know that!
And where's your PDA?
There's plenty of guides on this forum for flashing with Odin - just have a look in the main Dev threads - there's an Uber thread in there that explains literally everything...

LOL, dont wasnt any help
Hi,
the CODE file should be put to PDA,
MODEM is Phone, pit file is obvious..
Also you should flash a CSC File (which you put to CSC ) depending on your country or any Multi-CSC! Just use the search.
i downloaded I9000UGJH2 FROM
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9000.htm
AND THEN ALSO
Galaxy S / .PIT File: DOWNLOAD. (512) FROM THE SAME SITE
LOADED Odin3 v1.3
CHECKED RE-PARTITION
MOUNTED BY PIT
s1_odin_20100512.pit
MOUNTED BY PDA
I9000UGJH2-PDA-Kernel-Bootloader-CL490514-Low.tar
CLICKED START AND IT DID EVERYTHING ELSE
now my phone is stock and works just like new
thanks guys, worked a treat
Hi, i flashed my phone with ODIN to I9000JPJG8 and it was just one PDA file. I think i ticked on re-partition and now when piece powers on it shows blue circle instead of my network logo. I then reflashed with partition unticked but now still same problem. Help!!
I found this site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=780509
Should i try out the first option? It says this fix is for those who do not have (correct) .bak files in the /efs/ directory!
I think im coming from phone verison i9000XXJM1 and i know i have flashed many phones with this version and never had a problem.
Well just want to provide better information so i can get help:
Well before flashing my phone version was:
PDA: I9000 XWJM2
PHONE: I9000 XXJM1
CSC: I9000 OXXJM2
I then flashed it to I9000JPJG8. I9000JPJG8 was just a PDA file and i ticked re-partition. Now i see a blue circle. IMEI is fine and tried factory set but without success. I have flashed this verison before without ticking re-partition before and didnt have problems.
For repartitioning you would need a version with a pit file, otherwise the flash will fail, as in your case. You need to get a full package with pit file.

Ok, thanks for at least helping this lost soul. Do you recommend any file for me?
Try finding your rom in general section. There is a sticky thread which contains links to all the roms and pit files.
Hope that helps.
Edit: The second post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723596 contains information on flashing with odin and the differnet pit files. It also links to the stock roms.
Normally clicking repartiton for a new Rom is not required, only if a rom changes the layout of the filesystems on the phone. The information about the new layout is contained in the pit file - you told odin to change the partitions, but did not supply the necessary information.
Good luck!

Hey all
my device is SAMSUNG Galaxy S GT-I9000
so here it is, i had messed up my phone with loads of roms, tweaks, etc..
and at some time i flashed to ICS beta and that really screw my kernel up as i had to install a custom kernel "fugomod or such"
so i tried the ICS and didn't like it, i wanted to return to my stock rom and couldn't "because of the kernel and stuff" i tried hard to recover my phone till i found Cyanogen Mod! it was the only rom which installs it's own via recovery mod so i tried it, i liked it but get sick of it.. i really want my stock rom back!! SAMSUNG KIES can't even recognize my phone it only plugs with mass storage mode!!!
sooo... help??
Anybody can tell me how can i restore back to stock rom?
go to sammobile.com and get the latest firmware for your phone and flash it using odin..

The roms on sammobile used to contain three files - Phone, CSC and PDA file.. you can download 512 pit file by searching .... I guess using these four files at the same time should solve your problem.. if it is a problem of bootloaders then search in forums of how to flash bootloaders
512 pit file by searching? what do u mean please where to find it? sorry i'm noob
and okay i'm downloading now from SAMFIRMWARE, hope it contains the three files
this thread was supposed to solve my problem but the links in it aren't working no more
so now all is need are the three files and the PIT and the Kernel of the rom JPJV6.

Download one from sammobile.com, or google it. Use your country specified ROM.
Then use Odin with 512 Pit file, and tick repartition.
i cant post links
