If you meant the pic from FB Philippine, the 2.3.5 in it is for O3D while the phone on the right running 2.3.4 is an OB, check again

You will not get any updates unless you have an Europe Open phone, which you do not.
You can check csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/web_model_list.jsp?country=06&model=LGP970 for a version change. Unless it says anything other than v10e over there, STOP ASKING IF IT IS RELEASED, as it is not yet realeased. end of story.

The cellular operators are not all making the update to android 2.3.4 (like mine) and we are at the beggining if january so don't go check the update tool every day. It's also a french operator and they are more active for updates

Consumers as well as developers are screaming at the heads of sammy people to give us an update on p1000. But sammy is too business minded than consumer minded. With that news of value pack affirmed and was declined previously, i thinkdevs and consumers now are already tired of sammy ways.

Probably released early Q2.
It will be GB 2.3.6 and it will have some eyecandy features of ICS probably including face unlock.

ouch! not even an ICS hahaha... ICS should be the way to go since the device is very much capable of running it. don't know why they are holding back..

ICS with Touchwiz takes up 450 MB of RAM in my GS2 on start up.with use it goes up to 500-600 MB.And it is still buggy.
So we cannot say with out knowing the ground reality that our Tab is capable of running ICS.
And it is my personal opinion that if at all ICS (with Touchwiz) is released for our Tab, 90% of users will return back to GB because of some critical bugs due to hardware limitation of our Tab.
Just my 2 cents.

nothing yet in the philippines. ive set my kies to download at the background any update for my device. will tell you asap if i have received any.

UPDATE guys!!! SAmsung Galaxy S gets their update rolling in KOREA and some parts of Europe. And next in line is the Galaxy TAB. Excited to see this Value pack 2.3.6 for our beloved Galaxy TAB.

Nope I'm in the Philippines, my rom is 2.3.3 not 2.3.6, I'm waiting for 2.3.6 because I think it's "the last update" sammy will give its loyal customer hehehe...
Here in El Salvador still waiting... i guess u will have to be patient with them, its already a miracle that they are updating our tablet.

YES.. really is a Miracle..hahaha..for now i'll stick with HumberOS and CM9 its the best mod there is (for me). No Camera though, but who needs a camera on a tab (its akward taking a picture with it).

Make sure that you have a working internet on your phone. Go to Settings->About->Update... It will ask for Samsung account. Just add it and check again. It should work..

I got the notification in the afternoon today, but could not update, it kept on giving connection failed when trying to update and I was on data connection. Now at home, on wifi when I am trying to update it is saying that no update is available...!

Use the program attached here if you can't use LG Update Tool. In Model write P990 and IMEI write your phones IMEI without - only number. It'll find the V30A and download it for you.
PS: I honestly don't give a crap about the firmware itself, I am just waiting for the source codes

have been all my O2X life, the european FROYO GB and ICS (now )ROMs and I havent faced any issues. Infact I have always used european Basebands and found better reception.
so, I dont foresee any such issues.

Yes it is officialy released, yes it has a locked bootloader and yes you need to root it.
That's why i didn't upgrade yet, want to see what RC will do for CM10, will he decide to use the old bootloader or the new.
The problem here is RC only uses what is officialy released, i think that only if the new bootloader is unlocked by LG, he will use the new BL.

Yes, the V20S/q passed the same, at the end all the ROM were the same, with some other exception

Last update I found it on the web, pure luck, before the official site publish them...
By the way, my software update option on the phone is frozen... I never pay a lot of attention to that, one day or too more outdated is not a problem.

well, my ota update doesnt work like you already know, because its a german phone but with brazilian firmware. That annoys me a lot because i dont wanted to check over this forum or lg-firmwares.com for the next 1~2 years just to know if theres a new firmware. if my OTA have been working, i would have the latest firmwares without having to check on the web... but well... leason learned.

yup, morelocale app already make some big changes, but doesnt change the OS language. but like you said, may be someday.
