Hi everyone,
I think one of the best features on a custom ROM so far is the extended power menu that can be customized. I found it in Galaxy ROM and I think it is also in SauROM. You can choose toggles that you want to have in the power menu and this way it is possible to access them even from the lockscreen. It was created by Jkay who is no longer active in SGS development because he got a SGS II.
So my queston is, how is it possible to get the Jkay deluxe (how it is called) power menu and also the customizable notification toggles out of the ROM and put it into any other deodexed JW1 ROM?
As far as I know the following files are responsible for:
SystemUI.apk - Status Bar
android.policy.jar - Lock screen and Power Menu
framework-res.apk - theming and notification toggles (?)
tsmparts.apk - Settings tool for Jkay deluxe (?)
Is this correct?
Any suggestions how to accomplish this?
Thanks!
I have similar questions. I like a way that was used in SBamboo XWJW1 ROM, now to be used for XXJVU. Where can we get these apks? Which post should we read?
Cheers!
it seems that most devs don't implement it anymore as it is not supported anymore. there is a old thread by Jkay but it just gives you the files to add the mod, but does not show how to do the changes to a newer firmware.
The last firmware I saw it on was DJBROM on JW1. So the dev djb77 should know how to implement it. He plans to release a JVU version soon.

Hi there,
I've tried practically every custom ROM out there, and ultimately, I've found myself preferring to install the stock ROMs + cfRoot.
When JVB came out, I used the excellent "5 lockscreen mod" from dhiru1602 to get various goodies that are the staple of custom ROMs such as choice of lockscreen, scroll, overglow, CRT sleep effect and extended power menu. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036859).
I'm now looking at installing JVO, which I don't think is supported by that mod. Does anyone know how else I can these goodies on their own, without having to install a new theme entirely, and keep as close-to-stock as possible?
Thanks in advance for any tips.
if you want to do it on your own you should know about compile and decompile of apk files and also know how to work with smali and baksmali moreover you should be familiar with xml and java perhaps. its a long way to go friend.
I have seen some mods for jvo at theme section which are close to the stock rom
Brotuck has created a mod which is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Eureka!

I want to learn how to remove the notification toggles for my own personal use. Does anyone have tips or knowledge on how to do this?
I know that it is possible; an older incarnation of Ultimate ROM for the i9000 had it, but I've asked the developer, who doesn't recall how to do it.
My phone also doesn't like MTD, so CM7 is out of the question. Plus, I've been on GB bootloaders for a while, and don't want to flash those again.
Thanks.
There you go. This is Apex 9.2 systemUI modded to hide toggles in quick panel. This keeps all other notification bar mods intact for you.
Add it to system/app using root explorer and reboot.
Hi, is there someone like cook a new Rom, based on V20N, Similarly Pay87 2.2 ROM?
My favorites are:
Battery mod - Honeycomb
Statusbar icons - Androidian
Lockscreen - Cyanogen Rotary
Without unnecessary Apps.
Would be really cool if someone can do that!
Thx Chris
It's a work in progress. Do try to use the search function before opening new threads.
Hi guys.
I need to find AOSP lockscreen for my deodexed JVU?
There also could be CRT-off and extended power menu.
I don't want anything else. Thank you
Here is the link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434433
Thanks, but as far as I know, exactly this mod doesn't have AOSP lockscreen.
This guy once said that he didn't like it
Correct me if I'm wrong
I Search also the screen.
or a tut for self mod. Over the UOT Kitchen dosn't work.
10) My Theme is gone!
JKay Deluxe contains new icons for the Quick Settings panel and the Phone Options dialog therefore
these icons have been included into SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk. JKay Deluxe stock mod contains
stock Samsung icons (plus the new icons I have made in the same stock style).

Why would you want to flash JKay on DarkyRom, when it already contains it? Both v3.1 and v3.3 already have JKay mod in the rom package?
I'd just reflash Darky if I were you. Once you're done, open the app drawer and you'll see JKay little yellow android icon there. Just adjust JK settings and you're good to go.
