[Q] Incredible S not getting past the HTC screen. - HTC Incredible S

Would be so grateful if somebody could help me..been searching the internet for hours!
My phone is S-OFF, done through revolutionary. I wanted to update OTA from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5, but my phone wouldn't update. It would download the update and then just restart the phone, without having installed the update. I searched the net and found something that said I need to go back to S-ON by installing a RUU rom. I did so, and it worked fine.
My phone then told me I have system updates, so I followed the instructions and it worked fine. It then told me again that I have another system update, this time 2.3.5, and this time it got further in the installation process, but then when it rebooted, it got stuck at the HTC screen, with the white background.
I've tried going into recovery, hboot, fastboot, factory reset, and tried installing custom roms but nothing is helping.
Please, someone help me and tell me I have hope and that I haven't bricked it.

[Q] Can no longer boot into OS

I have an HTC One S (S4) that i've been trying to root and apply a custom ROM to, but i think i might have bricked my phone.
Originally i followed the directions found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2268963
Was able to unlock and it seemed like i flashed the recovery well enough, but i couldn't boot into it.
So i downloaded the All-In-One kit (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249074 )
and tried again. I knew nothing about the S-ON and S-OFF, before this, and my phone was definitely S-ON. So i went through the steps in the Kit, where i changed the CID of my phone to 11111111, flashed the One S zip, and tried to boot up. I can't do the 'complete S-Off' section though, because no matter what i do i can never get to the OS.
So i tried another method, and went to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357624 to just try to restore to a stock backup. it looked like the restore worked correctly, but still the same problem.
So basically right now I can get into bootloader and recovery (tried CWMod Touch and TWRP, neither work better than the other) , but the OS won't load. It just stays on the white 'HTC quietly brilliant' screen indefinitely.
Any ideas? Is this phone just bricked now? I
You're in the wrong forum and using tools for a different phone. You're lucky not to have a complete brick. Head to the One S forums and don't be flashing stuff from over here.
ah, i'm an idiot. I looked for the 'S' but didn't even see it cause i was only looking in 'Top Devices'. Thanks, will try again.

Stock M7 GPE Stuck on Boot

Hi XDA,
My HTC One M7 Google Play Edition is suddenly stuck on the Google logo upon boot. The phone is completely stock and never been rooted or ROMed and was operating perfectly up until the point I had rebooted it. This is the second time this year it has done this, however last time I was able to resolve by a simple Factory Reset from Recovery.
This time, unfortunately, Factory Reset does not resolve the problem, and now I'm stuck. I'm nervous about how to proceed since the phone is completely stock, I'm unsure what methods are available.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bricked XT1068 after failed OTA

I recently tried to install a lot of ROMs, with few success because I'm a beginner at this kind of things. I still managed to reinstall completely a stock KitKat version, and tried to do the OTA update to Lollipop. The screen turned down when the update reached approximately 60% and I can't even restart the phone in bootloader to restore with adb since. Can someone help me or is it helpless?
Same here.
I have a xt1068 and I was on MM, but after found that gps was not working properly, decided to downgrade to Lollipop.
The downgrade worked fine, but then came the OTA stagefright update notification and I tried to install it.
It was on the recovery screen, in the middle of the update, it suddenly blacked out and made no response to charging ou power button. I cant make it into bootloader, nothing. Dead.
Help!
same thing happened to me
So sad
Same here. I tried following some tutorials on bricked phones, but my pc won't even recognize the device as they say it should. Can someone help us? I'm about to go out and go to a technical support store, but I'd like to try on my own first... Someone there to help me?

Noob here - screwed up my T-Mobile One M9?

Hi XDA community,
I'm scared out of my mind. Tried rooting for the first time ever, but don't actually know what I'm doing. Using various guides I found in these forums, I:
1. Used HTCdev to unlock the bootloader
2. Used ADB to install TWRP 3.0.2-0
3. Used TWRP to install UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76.zip
Once that finished, my phone tried booting up (the white HTC logo) but now it has the red development build text at the bottom.... and then it gets into an infinite boot loop.
I don't know how to fix my phone. Please someone here with guidance, please help.
I've got the same identical issue.
I was able to get out of the boot loop by holding volume up and power, and I got back to download mode. From there, since the SU update I tried to install boot looped me (I was following this tutorial), I jumped ahead and just installed cm13 as I was planning to.
This install went fine, but then I ran into the issue of the rom not recognizing my sim card. I've been researching this problem and I guess I need to update my baseband? I tried for hours but I do not know how to accomplish this, and couldn't figure it out for the life of me. This thread on the cyanongenmod forum seemed to be the closest thing to help I could find, but still it didn't help very much.
So at this point now I'm trying to back out and unroot my phone and get everything back to factory settings; it doesn't feel worth it anymore to me since I've just had trouble every step of the way. I've been trying to follow this post to get back to at least a usable factory rom. But I can't even get this one to install because I cannot access my phone through adb while it's in download mode. Furthermore the instructions are just confusing me because I'm not so versed in the nomenclature of these procedures.
Is there anyone that can help me get back to complete stock t-mobile sense? Or if not, help me get my cm13 rom to recognize my sim card so I can at least have my phone working in some capacity? I'd be tremendously grateful of either. I'm really in over my head here and quite scared I won't be able to figure this out.

Help with HTC Desire 626s twrp recovery

I rooted my phone not long ago. Some how I have corrupted or changed something in between now and then. I get stuck upon reboot on HTC screen with warning about instlaling custom roms. I've spent literally three days on this forum and every site I could find without success. I'm sure that my phone is not hard bricked because I still have access to TWRP. I cannot find my recovery on my sd and every bit of advice or instructions I have found do not work. I've tried sideloading, RUU via HTCsync, and so on. Please if anyone can help It would be greatly appreciated. I've always had success with jailbreaking on the Apple side and was a die hard Apple guy. A few years ago, I went full Android. Still learning.
error:

You should at least be able to do it the long way:
Go back to stock ROM, flash this with SP Flash Tools. You then will need to reinstall TWRP, root and any other modification you did to your phone. In the end you should be able to reset your phone to the state it had before "something went wrong".
