Hi
when I use compass application it shows the north cca correct, but in google maps it doesn't work properly at all, the arrow points in various directions, but just not in the right one. Other people seem to have this problem with minicm7 roms too and I am wondering, if there is still no fix or workaround about this?
No one knows?
Everything else in the ROM is working great for me, battery consumption is alright, just this one culprit
Hi!
I have the same problem on MiniCM7 2.1.6 with nAa 8.b kernel. Full wipe didn't help.
Any ideas?

I do have the exact same configuration as you, including kernel and also I did full wipe, tried changing different settings to no success.
From what I have read and as far as I can understand, it is cm7 roms problem, so full wipe or anything, what we as users can do, will not help. Devs must create some patch, imho.
looks like its a common issue with the rom!
i actually noticed its been displaced 90degrees anticlockwise!
dont know about others! but thats wat i noticed!
There is a working patch!

Installed everthing as per instructions on my SE X1 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156421
First time starts smooth - after doing CWM recovery of Honeycomb..v3
Wifi works.. browsing works.. etc.
I powerd off using the power off option..to reboot and installed gapps.
Now on its keeps rebooting anywhere during booting process.. sometimes it would come to the honeycom moving screen and then reboot.
I reformatted and tried everything again - 4 times now.
It is stable when gapps is not installed??
Any other way to install gapps? other than by CWM recovery method??
Or am I doing something wrong here..
I am very new to android installation.. please help
you should ask this in the rom-thread, not here. if someone comes to "question & answers" about x1, he doesn't expect questions about a half-ported OS, right?! (it's a winmo-phone...)
but yeah, you're doing something wrong. never had this problem when using honeycomb v3. which gapps-zip are you using? the one needoo uploaded?
anyway, better head over to neopeek and get neofroyo v0.1, it's much better. looks like needoo has a new version coming too, based on neofroyo.
Thank you for your reply..
Newbee to XDA so no permission to post in those threads...
However evrything is working now...wifi, apps.. maps.. etc.
hopefully once I am used to getting around these things will take ur advice and try neoFroyo V0.1.. Sure
oh, i always thought that 10-posts-limit only affects the "real" dev-forums. sorry.
I was checking out Live Wall papers from the Market.. Nothing seems to be compatible with HoneyComb Froyo V.3
Does anyone know any that may be compatible..
Ofc it does drain your battery..
simply put best android for x1
neofroyo has wifi issue and not even close to as sexy as honeycomb v.3 is
maybe your installing wrong gapps i never had that issue either
what kernel are you using as well
i found that the only kernel the worked perfect was ygge's turbo
No wifi-error on neofroyo with ygge-kernel. Midnight's kernel works too, but battery-charge isn't shown yet. But it's fast...
Neofroyo is faster than honeycomb, but let's see what needo comes up with next.

No wifi-error on neofroyo with ygge-kernel? I have tried many times. But wifi never works. Can you share your kernel to me?

don't use the wifi-fix provided on neopeek. (i never did and it still worked fine; that's my old setup, i switched to midnight's kernel since then)
Thank you.
Is there anything that can make the battery last longer on Android??
While x1 on Windows can last for three days Android last only one day?
I am using the Dark Knight 5.5 ROM with the Devil2_0.94 kernel. I enjoy it but it has a few fatal issues for me:
The GPS doesn't work. At all. I tried A Darky's ROM and it didn't work there either. Tried a lot of GPS-fixing apps. Still no luck. Any tips?
If these issue are unfixable, I would like to ask you guys for a ROM that is smooth, stable and on which everything works. Could be GB or ICS (I would prefer ICS).
Thanks in advance
try again to reinstall this ROM.
I have the big problem with the sound. It doesn't work!!! I always have Silence mode for ringtone and alarm. If i choose the any sound, it works, but after the reboot nothing.
I try to use external software for example Rings Extended but nothing.

The GPS doesn't work and I can't acces the external SD card through the phone(I can't listen to the music or view the photos on the card, neither can I browse through the files. I tried formatting but it fixed nothing)

I tried it but I don't like...
This is how I always trouble-shoot my GPS problems.
1. make sure gps.conf ntp server is changed to match your country.
2. try a few different modems.
3. turn gps off then on in each test. sometimes my GPS doesn't work first time (in this case there will be no sats showing in gpstest)
Make sure you are in a open area and use angrygps or gpstest to see how many sats you are getting and whether they are locking.
When I flashed ICS I couldn't get any lock until I changed modem (currently using JV5 from the latest JW6 rom. But I also got it to work fine with JVU.
Got bad GPS experience with GB and ICS. With ICS there was almost no sats visible (tried CM9 based ROMs TWICS and Remics-UX). I got best results with Darky ROM 9.5.
Hi,
I'm using NovaHD, on all the versions I tested, there's always the same problem: wifi drains a lot of battery, it goes from 100% to 0 in less than a hour. The phone also lags hard when wifi is active, apps freeze sometimes.
I didn't see anyone talking about this kind of problem on the forum.
Of course I tried a full wipe, but the problem is still here...
Thanks
Which kernel are you using?
I can recommend the 3.0.36 Nova kernel Pure Edition.
With that one I get very good battery life, even with games, one hour of phoning, some internet browsing and frequent visits to gmail.
Let phone reboot a few times after install and make sure you have correct RIL. Try GetRIL or LG RIL Version.
BR
Mike
really?? i use nova hd build 16.29 for more than a month and no problem for me
have you ever tried calibrating your battery?
btw, don't bother to try older builds (16.xx, 17.xx, and 18.xx work great in my phone!)
I'm using the last "Rebuild v1.1.0", and the kernel is 3.0.33 Nova version 1.0.7, I'll try to install the Pure edition.
btw the RIL doesn't correspond to baseband so I'm installing the right one now.

I know, they dont match, according to GetRIL, but if I install matching RIL, strangely enough, I dont have any tele-connection.
I tried a few combinations, before I got the winning pair!!

Thanks for helping, it seams the problem is solved.
I just changed the RIL and installed the last Nova kernel, I also removed Shazam cause it was always running in background when wifi was active.
But the last Nova kernel doesn't support OC ?!
hi all,
i have a problem, i have a SGS I9000 with a cm9 installed and the microphone doesn't work in applications! but it works well in normal calls? how can i solve this problem? thanks
p.s. i've done a lot of wipes in my phone..
Which version of Cm9 did you install? RC2? As far as I remember this was only an issue in VERY early builds of CM9 that pawitp compiled himself.
Since you've already wiped many times, I'd say look in the DSP manager, under the WM8994 section. There are a few options for Recording presets though I am not sure if they will work much in this case.
If you're on RC2, maybe try some other kernel to see if it resolves it? If not, then flash RC2 first!
i've done what did you say....i've installed RC2 and tried a lot of kernels (semaphore, Glitch, Devil...) and the result is the same! The microphone works but only in calls! not in apps...what can i do? thanks
Nobody can help me please?
Hello
I am running PA 2.51 and I am still having a no GPS lock issue, GPS is flashing and searching but it doesn't lock.
I have tried to search but haven't found anything conclusive a part of reflashing ICS which I prefer not to do.
Any one has any idea if there is an easy fix?
Not really sure.
You could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695127
If that doesnt work just reflash you rom and do a few wipes.

Just as a data point, no issues at with GPS on CM10 here. Gets a lock within a few seconds, even including GLONASS sats (>64).
Perhaps it's a PA issue? Try a plain CM10 build to check?
