ME 863 Safestrap back up CLEAN (milestone 3 retail) - Motorola Droid 3

i have made a safestrap back up for the CLean ME863 rom
i am working on my post count to post the file out, or if some user who have access to the developing section,
also i would like to help or be testers for any droid 3 gsm projects, as i have my phone out laying in my room because i have two milestone 3 so i can play around with different firmwear

What're the version numbers on that ROM, and where was it sourced? There's two retail ME863s, China Mainland and HK/Taiwan. And I'm only speculating that HK and Taiwan share a model.

[Q] Milestone with US ATT Custom ROM

I have been looking for an answer to this and if it has been answered before, point me to the thread.
I'm using a Telus Milestone here in the US with ATT. I have GOT OR 2.01 loaded on my milestone and it's rooted in everything. Now the next step would be to pick a firmware for 2.2.1. However, There is nothing listed for ATT or US at all for that matter.
Should I use Telus's Firmware? And will it still work with ATT? I want to load some custom roms, but I'm a bit stuck. Thanks for any input.
You should use Telus firmware. Or any firmware you like, but flash Telus baseband on top in order to get it working on AT&T
Check in milestone Android development thread, there are few choices available (roms), pick one. There is still no official Froyo rom for Milestone though. Most of the custom roms available are nearly fully functional.

Thank you very much. I wanted to try it, but I didn't want to guess, be wrong, and be screwed. Thats all I needed!

[News] Flashing S5830M - Works 100% (Tested for 20 S5830M)

Good Afternoon, all up in this forum and I tried to find the solution to flash the M version of this phone and fails to do so, many tutorials but have left their comments to miracle I have seen 3 people (maximum) have been able to flash your phone.
I tried placing the C version as many have seen out there, and really works! but this version "C" brings band 850/2100 on 3G, but many in Latin America residing in their countries have companies that work in 850/1900 3G which is indispensable.
Then the version "C" is not entirely effective.
Therefore I found that using this version of Odin in conjunction with any downloaded flash S5830M (version. Single tar file) can flash this version M.
I tried on over 20 phones of this model. Worked as a technician in Panama and I have many sales so it was easy to get and try.
Deputy Odin firmware only because they are widely available
Note: My English is not very good to say
which modem has band 900/2100?
in my country do not use that band. You should try to see if there is one. comment on your impressions when tested

For any S5830 i / c / m you have to use ODIN v1.83 or v1.84 have been using it for a while have flashed XXLA2, XXLH3 and several other stocks to my S5830M. But i guess newer ODIN should have some pros

[Q] What firmwares are compatible?

So I've got a nice new RAZR i on it's way to act as a works phone. I've bought it from Orange, so I'm expecting it to come with the Orange 91.2.26001.XT890.Orange.en.GB firmware (although I've heard there's little branding, if any). If it doesn't come with that then obviously I'll have to see if it affects things.
I would like to get it onto Retail GB, but I'm not sure if it's simple a case of getting hold of a Retail GB firmware and flashing. My previous experience with Motorola's (A925/A1000 - so years ago!) meant you could simply just flash a new SHX file in PST/RSDLite - but it looks like it may be different now. Can I just put the Retail UK firmware on found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239706&highlight=firmware ?
Is there any guide on firmwares, as the only thing I've been able to work out is not to flash LATAM models with EU firmwares and vice versa. Does GB firmware come under EU firmwares, or is that another different type of model?
Yes you can use any firmware from that thread or if you unlocked your bootloader and have root Pi-llama or Omar's rom

What international ROMs work with N910T?

Before I get started with rooting and flashing, what should I avoid, and what works for out T-Mobile variant? Should I stick to TMO specific ROMs, or can I use something from the Note 4 Snapdragon Development Forum. coming form a HTC One M8 where changing the CID basically made it a generic international model. Do we have the same options with N4?

In the past when I had the note 3 I used N9005 roms http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development . General rule of thumb as long it says N9005 for the note 3 then its a 80/20 chance that roms will work. I had some run perfectly with a few steps, like compatible kernal and patch for wifi/bluetooth/nfc fixes to work. In my past experience with using these roms, i learned that some will work and some will give you problems no matter what you tried. For example a rom i used for like almost half a year worked just fine, then a update to a new version updates and nothing worked. Kernals, patches nothing worked, so i used another rom for a while and then i went back to it recently and everything was working again.
So my advice is read every single instruction the rom developer has provided and make sure you follow it to ensure success. Read other FAQS and use the search button and so on. Most questions you may have, may already been answered by other people who post regular in the forums.
So based on this information, i believe this model is equivalent to N9005 Roms: http://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/ca552ee0
So look for roms that run N910s, from the link above it uses snapdragon processor, so hardware and it looks like the bands are close to US ones. So those are the roms that you need to look for.
One more thing I am not 100% sure if that is indeed the correct model to use, maybe im wrong and someone can correct me. Either way good luck and ask away if you have any other questions.

ROM Confusion (despite other threads)

My Mix has been dispatched so should get it soon. It's from GearBest. I'm pretty sure it won't be opened.
It'll be used in the UK.
ROM-wise, I see people talking about:
Chinese version
Vendor version
International version
I'm guessing it'll come with the Chinese version.
I presume the best thing for me would be to put the International version 6.12.8. I see it's a stripped down version of the China one with built-in Gapps support.
My questions are:
1) If I get it unlocked and put TWRP on it and flash this ROM, does this mean it's ROOTED? Or is rooting a separate process.
I don't want my phone to be rooted because it means banking apps won't run on it even if you use Hide Root stuff.
2) That ROM is legit isn't it? It sounds different to the vendor one that I've read people talking about that's on version 8.xxxx. Is that less legit than the one on xiaomi.eu?
Sorry for being a nub.
Ah wait... doing more research...
So the Chinese ROM is 8.0.11.
The DEVELOPER ROM is 6.12.8.
Is the Developer ROM on en.miui.com the same as the International one on xiaomi.eu?
