[Q] Live Wallpaper FPS faster when scrolling? - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,
I've recently installed Go Weather (in particular Go Weather Animated Wallpaped (HD and normal)) which I absolutely adore. But there's this weird thing going on.
Whenever I transition between the homescreen and anything else the live wallpaper shows a smooth running FPS, but as soon as the homescreen settles (the transition to the homescreen ends) the live wallpaper drops in FPS and gets visibly laggy. The weird thing is if i transition between homescreens/panels (which is still smooth) the FPS of the live wallpaper speeds up again, and when it hits the next screen/panel it drops down again?? Shouldn't it be the other way around?? Any help is much appreciated!
P.S. Problem persist after clearing cache/rebooting, closing all apps, using different launchers etc.

Slow Live Wallpaper on Helix Launcher 2

I am currently using the latest Cyan MOD with Helix launcher and I noticed that whenever Live Wallpaper is active, the launcher becomes super sluggish. Is it only me or is there anyone else experience the same problem ?

[Q] N1 live wallpaper effects

I just have a quick question and would make me feel better about my phone .....when you have a live wallpaper running is it slowing down your app drawer such as making it choppy scrolling rather then when you have a normal wallpaper its smoothe as hell.....is there anything to fix it to were you have a live wallpaper and its smoothe?
What you're experiencing is normal.
Some Live Walls lag more than others, too, just depends on what it is and how it was designed.
cool, makes me feel better i wish it wasnt like that cause i love how launcher pro is so smooth with the 3d app drawer and no live wallpaper its so smoother, but would love live wallpaper and same smootheness

Yes this happens to me too, its always been this way. A live wallpaper makes my home screen scrolling and app drawer choppy. This is with launcher pro and stock launcher. It's not a huge effect, but definitely not as smooth. With no live wallpaper the scrolling is smooth as butter even better my ipod touch 3rd gen.

Slow transition into settings

Hi everyone,
Over the past couple of days I've noticed something weird on my SGS.
When I click menu>settings there is a rather slow transition effect into the settings area. Opening applications is very snappy, but I've tried uninstalling ADW Launcer Ex and factory resetting the phone with no joy.
It's rather weird, but everything is fully loaded was the transition effect opens the window it's just really slow.
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers,
Try spare parts, its a app with some cool feautures. it lets you change speed of transitions as well.

Live Wallpaper Camera Glitch

My wife recently bought a 2014 Moto X and we're having some strange issues with Live Wallpapers.
If you have any stock Live Wallpaper set, and you open the camera and take a picture, then return to the home screen via the home button, the wallpaper is gone with a black background. Sometimes it will even change it to a stock static wallpaper. But it does it every time without fail. Static wallpapers are fine, this only affects live wallpapers.
Has anyone else noticed this issue? It's really vexing.

Lockscreen notification drawer lag after Android 9 update

I noticed if I use the default infinity wallpapers, when you swipe down the notification drawer from the lockscreen it's a smooth animation
However when I use a different wallpaper, even the samsung wallpapers as long as it's not infinity branded, swiping down the notification drawer from the losckreen is jittery and slow. It doesn't happen on the main home screen. Only the lockscreen
Anyone else having the same issue? Mine's an Exynos variant Note 9
Yes I have noticed It too, i wonder if there is somthing to do about it..

I've downloaded the Walloop Engine app from the Play Store, which gives you the ability to set the live wallpaper as your homescreen/lockscreen wallpaper. For some reason, lockscreen notification drawer doesn't lag if you set a live wallpaper. I have no idea how Samsung managed to produce such a silly bug with static wallpapers.
I also have found that if you set your screen display to WQHD the animation on the lock screen will be laggy and will stutter and even sometimes on the home screen itself and if you put the screen display on FHD+ the animation will run smooth.
Check it out and tell me If the same problem happen to you too.

I notice this issue only on lockscreen, but yeah, it happens only on WQHD resolution and only with static wallpapers. Infinity wallpapers and live wallpapers are not causing any issues, regardless of resolution. So, to sum up:
HD/FHD resolution: no lag, we can use any wallpaper
WQHD resolution: notification drawer lags with static wallpapers, but doesn't lag with infinity/live wallpapers
