Hi everyone, after flashing my Galaxy Note with Odin to Sheep ROM V2, vibration stopped working, since then i´ve tried a lot of roms and tricks but vibration sitll doesnt work.
Can you tell me how can i solve this issue? Now im with Romow 5.1 and CWM recovery.
Thanks for your help.
I´ve ordered JIG in order to reset counter for SAT visit
No one knows how to solve this problem i have?
Still without vibration. I need help!
Tried flashing to Sheep v 2.1 but no changes. Any help?
Have you tried installing the app Volume Control+ from the Market and checking the vibrate settings? My last phone (Atrix) got stuck in a mode where it wouldn't vibrate, no matter what I did in settings, but using Volume Control+ I was able to get the vibrate to work again.
Tried it but still without any vibration
So when you open Volume Control the little blue vibrate icons are lit up, but there's still no vibration?

You said you've tried a lot of other ROMs...have you used Odin to flash your device back to stock? That may be your best bet at this point. Then you can start over again. Have you been making backups?

I´ve flashed back to kl7 and kl8 with ODIN, sadly i forgot making backup when i flashed it for the first time.
I still need help with my vibration!!!

SOLUTION: Flash JPU with PIT.
Hello all,
Today I tried reflashing xxJPY after accidentally applying a heavy undervolt. However, my dog somehow managed to knock the phone off my desk while flashing.
EDIT: I managed to succesfully reflash xxJPY, I don't know how, or what I did, but it somehow booted to download mode.
However, my poor Galaxy is now stuck in a bootloop. Both the stock rom, and a 10 day old backup play their boot animations, but after a couple of vibrates they both reboot. The vibrates are the same as when an application force-closes.
Any thoughts?
Quipeace.
EDIT2: Reflashed again, but still looping. Also did a factory reset.
Volume up key. Home key and power on all at the same time. This should put you into recovery mode.
Hope this helps....

Or better still same as above but volume down key takes you to download mode. If stopped mid flash recovery will likely not work.

Hey,
I don't know what I did, but I managed to reflash xxJPY. However I'm now facing a bootloop.
Anyone had that before?

JJEgan, thanks, that worked. I was already downloading JPU, hoping that a three part flash would fix it.
Thanks for your time
For those running cognition 3.04, does anyone else notice sometimes when you press the side volume rocker, it only controls the media volume. I would exit apps and wait a while but it doesn't seem to do anything. I can access ring volume by manually changing it in the sound settings panel. I would then have to restart my phone in order for the rocker to control ring volume again. I've tried locking and unlocking phone, but seems only a reboot will reset the rocker's control. Does anyone else have this issue?
Sorry, I don't seem to have the problem. Maybe reflash?

hmm I followed the instructions on how to flash from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884364. i was coming from eclair so i didn't wipe with odin. so if i were to reflash, does it mean running clockwork again and choosing to install from sd card again, and selecting wipe data and cache as well? I've read in some threads you should use odin to go back to 2.1 then flash again with clockwork. Others have skipped that step altogether and used clockwork directly. sorry i am noob to the flashing scene, didn't want to wait for an AT&T update that probably won't come for a while. glad i found a way with users here to empower my own device
i followed there youtube vid to the t, it worked like a champ no troubles with anything.
Could be a bad flash +1
My phone will not vibrate no matter what i do after flashing back to stock (1-click) from continuum v5.4.1 it wont vibrate tried changing intensity, flashing rom, rebooting, nothing works! Please help me!
Have you tried settings/sound/vibrate and change it to always?
yes i have tried everything in settings and tried changing kernels and installing other roms. Could it be the bootloader? because to get into download mode or recovery mode i have to use the AIOtoolbox via usb.

Have you tried doing a factory reset and flashing a rom? The vibration is usually a kernel thing. Most kernel will come with the app to improve the vibration on your phone (can't remember the name right now ).

Please help! I don't think its a hardware problem. So could it be the bootloader disabling vibrate or something?

Hi folks,
While this morning my Samsung Galaxy S i9000 was installing an (auto) update from an app (unfortunately I do not know which one), the phone rebooted. But it got caught in the start up screen (Samsung S animation logo). After a while the phone vibrates like there is an app which crashes...
I don't know how to solve this problem, as a factory reset (startup with volume button pressed etc.) did not work out...
Does this issue sound familiar to anyone of you? Thanks for any help...
Regards,
EJ
"as a factory reset (startup with volume button pressed etc.)"? i haven't heard of that one... do you have clocworkmod recovery? Try Volume Up+Home key+Power when/if you get into recovery try a factory reset wipe cache dalvik cache. Try to flash a new rom using odin... to bad that this happened from an app update...
Done that, didnt work.
now fixed though after using the Video Guide of Darky's Resurrection Edition v9.2 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940671.
My SGS is back into business, seems to be working even better then before I bricked it. Thanks Darky!

Ohai guys,
Well, I'm quite familiar with all flashing and stuff.
I was updating my mom's phone today, when while updating the phone restarted, and started vibrating 3 times non stop.
The phone isn't detected anywhere, and I tried the reset thingy (The white dot when removing the back cover right?) and nothing else happenned.
If I press the power button, it vibrates 3 times. When I connect to USB, it vibrated 3 times non stop.
Any ideas of what I could do?
I've already sawfamiliar threads, but nothing worked. Any ideas how to unbrick this bad boy?
Thanks
hmm

Disable all vibrations and haptic feedbacks. Check now.
Else, make everything backed up. Try flashing the stock ROM. Hope, this may solve the issue.
