[Q] Problem in charging when i get a text message - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi
i am new to this site and this is my first post.
i bought my note 1 month back. no major issues so far.
recently i observed a small problem with my note when charging.
when i get a text a message, the charging stops and restarts immediately(i get the charging notification sound). but this doesn't happen always. sometimes its just fine when i get a text message.
i tried changing the usb cable with the charger and replaced it with my old galaxy 551 usb cable. but still i get that problem sometimes. anyone had such issues?
please help

[Q] i9000 hangs when starting a call

Hello,
i have a problem with my SGS I9000.
The problem is: When i making a call, the phone freezes. The screen turn black and i can use any button. But the phone is making the call. If it turns to a voicemail of the person i tried to call i can't hang up.
The're is another problem, that maybe or maybe not is the cause of the 1st problem. The USB port is not doing anything anymore accept charging. So i can go to download mode. But Odin don't recognize my phone.
Does anyone know a solution for these problems?
I had the problem with the usb port and i fixed it by changing the usb cable.
Thanks for your fast answer, SimMasterIbra.
The cable is working fine with my wives SGS2. So i assumed that the cable is not the problem. But i will try another cable.
Anyone an answer to my first question?
A new cable and the USB problem is solved.
The main problem its still there. When i make a call the phone freezes. if the person i phoned hangs up than my sgs hangs and reboots it self. I can make the call, but I can't do anything at all with it.
Please can someone help me. It's very annoying.
Nobody can help me??

[Q] MicroUSB issues with GNote

My Note demonstrated strage behaviour since past 4-5 days. Perhaps it is also trying to be human like GSIII with the changing weather in the region where I live
1) Loudspeaker use to turn on while on a Call
2) Voice talk use to randomly pop up its fav question
3) Default alaram app use to appear
In short something or other was waking it up constantly.
Today morning USB refused to charge my phone, Nor my PC detected it. Thats when I came across this.
http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...-youre-having-car-mode-problem-look-here.html
Has any other note witnessed this problem?
Probably not the same, but mine was doing the "I think it is connected to a dock"
sometimes when connected to usb, and other strange things.
I read about people having a "dirty" microusb connector and after examining mine
under a powerful mag loop, it had this green contamination. After cleaning it, all of my goofy connecting/usb problems disappeared.
I wrote it up and it's on the WIKI if you want to check it out. Photos also so you can see the contamination.
Hope it helps!

[Q] SMS and Call problems - SMS after 30 minutes and Mailbox-Calls

Hi guys, currently i am having issues with my Galaxy Note:
-Sometimes i receive SMS 30-45 Minutes after they have been sent, that happens about 2 or 3 times a week
-Sometimes people call me (with 3 of 4 signal strength bars) and they cant get trough, they reach my mailbox
-Sometimes people call me and after 3-4 Minutes the call stops and they have to call me again.
My Setup:
Galaxy Note N7000 with CM11.0 - But im quiet sure i had this problem with other ROMs too (But all CM, no Stock Samsung ROMs)
Mods:
I changed the USB Connector on my Note because it was broken - The USB Board has the Antenna Plug but i fixed it the right way, i did everything as intended.
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Ladebuchse-U...zer_Ersatzteile_Werkzeuge&hash=item2c7ae0e4e5
Other things:
-Sometimes my Wifi is not able to turn on but after a reboot i can turn it back on all the time (Might be CM Related? No Samsung ROM)
I hope you can help me, i rly want to have a working phone again.
Thanks for your help, best regards from Germany
Nobody who has an idea that could help me?
Did you have these problems before you changed the USB connector? If no, this is your answer.
"quite sure": be absolutely sure by installing a stock rom and test it.

Thats what im gonna try
1: Compare Antenna dBm (right now -111 to -81) from the replacement USB Board with the old USB Board - Maybe its the new board
2: Stock Samsung ROM (rooted)
If nothing helps im pretty sure i need a new phone
Gonna try that! I also have barely 1 bar very often
He also says the Antennaboard can be damaged if the phone gets dropped.

"Can't play audio through adapter" notification when charging

Hello,
since a few days I get the message ""Can't play audio through adapter" from the android system when I plug in my charger. That's really annoying
The only way to get rid of this notification is to unplug the charger an restart the phone.
I never used a usb-c audio adapter, I cleaned the USB port & I tried different charger & cables.
The only thing I've changed the last time was to connect bluetooth headphones
Who can help with with this?

it is your USB-C Port , it is getting mixed signals (some pins are touching due to dust or damage), try cleaning it well with a touth brush , be gentle though. (dont use metalic objects to clean , nor use force , you will damage it )

You sure? I think its a software issue. It always happens when i remove the charger.
I tried removing the charger without electricity to be on and the error didnt appear.
I noticed that a USB connection to my computer does not work anymore. Also the selection of the connection type does not appear any more.
Has anyone tested if a reset to factory defaults helps?
I hope that it is not a hardware failure.

This was also my first idea, but I have cleaned it several times. It looks clean and not damaged. No dust or something else is inside.
What somehow indicates a software error is that even after disconnecting the cable the error message cannot be deleted...
I have the same probleme, only since today.
Whene I unplug the charge cable that notification appears. And its impossible to clear it. I have tried with different cables and always the same. Only one time when I connect to pc and disconnect, theres no notification. I have noticed tha the data conection with pc is unstable; depending of the position of the cable it works or not.
Firstly I think it was a software probleme, but now i think is hardware. The usb-c connector is damaged.
This week Ill try to use the oficial xiaomi warranty and tell you what they say me
The last thing i did was a factory reset - also without success.
I have now sent the device for repair under warranty.
Ok, please tell us when you have news of this
Had same problem. It is a hardware issue. The message used to appear when I removed charge cable, so I needed to reset and it was gone... But it would appears
again after a while.
Connection with pc was really unstable too. In the processe to fix it, I almost bricked the phone trying to flash stock rom through "mi flash tool", it always got "disconnected" before flashing process ends.
Need to change usb port: https://a.aliexpress.com/_msMZGNj
Got my phone back. It was a hardware issue. Something was replaced, now it's working fine again.

same problem with my poco x3 india version ..
I had the same problem with that message being permanently there but now it's sorted.
It only came up after I was in heavy rain but the phone did not get wet (or so I thought)
I used a hair dryer up the USB-C port and the message disappeared without any reboot, must of got damp or something.
Hope this helps
