The new recovery in ROMManager (5.0.2.7) is not required, but is necessary to receive automatic updates.
ROM Customisers: The sources no longer refer to thunderg but to p500 so your

OLD BASEBAND?
If your phone uses the old baseband, you can flash the following zip after flashing the nightly to get everything working again. NOTE: you will need to reflash this zip every time you upgrade to the latest nightly!!
Old Baseband Fix - Flashable ZIP
NO-APN PROBLEMS?
If you get GSM but no data, and you cannot save any APN settings, it means you have what I'm calling a 'funny SIM'. Certain mobile operators use SIMs which include an extra data storage area to be used for things like GSM Banking etc. CyanogenMod currently does not fully support these SIMs on the new baseband.
APN / FUNNY SIM FIX - Flashable ZIP (Includes the files above, you only need to flash this one)
Please thank werewolfo for generously donating an Italian funny SIM for me to test with!.

can i update on top of N1 without wiping all the data?
Still no data and when I try to add an APN, after entering all the details and clicking 'save' there's nothing there. ffs
Also does anyone else get it where if their SIM card is PIN enabled and they enter Airplane Mode, after coming back out of Airplane there's no prompt for a PIN and therefore no mobile signal until you restart the phone?
Fantastic job Adam. I'm testing out the N1 now and it appears to be quite fast and extremely stable. I'm really impressed with the professionalism and class you've brought to this ROM over the past weeks.

You need to state what ROM you are using, what kernel you are using, and what baseband you have flashed or you are wasting ours, and more importantly, the dev's time.

Segnaro said:
Open up the GalaxyComb archive with 7zip and replace update-script in META-INF/com/google/android with the one inside the zip attached to this post.
That'll remove the i9000 check and allow you to flash it on Vibrant.
If it's still failing then you probably corrupted the archive or have a bad download.

The file is at the bottom of this post!
These are my instructions: Whenever you have changed and re-zipped the ROM just flash if you are on a Froyo ROM, I was on Project V and didn't have to wipe.
You can also flash from CM7 or MIUI as it uses the same Install method thingy!?
Oh and the haptic buttons don't work except for back!

I tried this the day that it was first posted, and i have to say that i was pretty surprosed with this port, its pretty fast and stable, and it looks great, a little small, but thats to be expected because its designed for tablets. I hope to see more development on this.

(Even more reason for me to ditch the vibrant and get an I9000)
The one thing keeping me back to using a Froyo rom as my daily driver is the fact that the GPS does come in handy from time to time (and not a basic maps search query).

Edit: Oh, you're part of AOKP-team (I guess), so now that you support this device I guess it get updates the same time the other devices gets them.. Anyway, thanks again!

That's correct I am part of the AOKP team aka Team Kang. We use a build bot to compile for all the devices we support and are hosted on goo-inside.me across three mirrors. They get automatically uploaded as the compile process finishes for each one. This build is hosted on mediafire because I compiled it after the fact. ^^

It does not work on V20Q BB that I am using either. Owain's 4-2 worked for me too. I think it is a more generic problem and not really tied to BB.

By providing this ROM I am not guaranteeing that future updates will follow. Due to limits on my time and the fact I have multiple devices I need to keep updated it isn't possible for me to continue providing ROM updates indefinitely. Please do not be under the assumption that future releases will be available (I don't want you to be disappointed!).

Well its loosely based on CM10.1 (Device files and Kernel), so I would imagine it will have the same issues as that

Great to see you guys here
I have had a look at Rootbox, but it wouldn't compile I am going to have another look though, now they've started using PAprefs as I didn't care much for the Xposed framework.... I've already done Jellybeer for it which is pretty good, which I may release
Edit: Just reflashed the rom and got a signal straight away as well as navigation buttons... Done it 3 times now and had no issues at all

All info in @F4k post - link on op.
It is very strange that nobody seems to be interest in this rom. This carbon rom has been actively developed since February. So this must be more bug free than other roms for our device as they are only a few days old.Still nobody has posted anything related to this rom here.Very strange indeed.

Yeh when I tried it I kind of liked it but later on changed back to cm11 cause it still doesn't have network mode settings other than that the ROM was quite good and I am waiting for this setting

You can use cwm too, but once that you use Philz Touch or TWRP, you never will use cwm again, IMHO.

Network mode present - if no - send me screenshot of mobile settings.
This ROM is even more faster than CM11 builds, but I have some random reboots and I think its because of The f4k kernel because when I tried it in CM 11 builds i had The same problem. I think its because of the kernel settings, i play more with it :/
Is there any other kernel that can be used with this rom?If yes, please give link.
Should I install this after full clean of system

SOLVED: 64GB SDCard supported ?
Coming from CM11 4.4.3, installed after full wipe, but my 64gb Sandisk is not being mounted.
The card mounts and works fine on stock and CM11.
EDIT: Looks like there is no support for exFat. Converted the sd card to NTFS and every thing is fine now

sorry sekil but when I full wiped my phone and installed the rom rather than simply flashing over cm 11 I was abe to get the network type selection setting and now I am using this rom on a daily basis. if I find any more problems or suggestion I will let you know.
Hey sekil you don't have a music player in your ROM.

So Far... Perfect
It is sooo nice when something just works... this ROM just works. Over the years I have owned Galaxy S1, S2 & S3... I have installed many ROMs, some have been easy install, some I have had to fight to get stable... this is an awesome build, kudos and beer to the developer and OP for making this available on the 9192. Thank you... this definitely rates among the top ROMs I have used over the past several years. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an easy install and something that just works.
Now my goal to to get the email client to work with exchange servers that require security but not actually implement the security requirements on my device... there is a thread out there somewhere on how to mod the email client to basically lie to an exchange server saying it has enabled all security settings when it actually has not, just gotta find the thread. With the other devices there were so many users that eventually someone else figured it out... now I guess its my turn.
Thanks again and beer money on the way...
Take Care and keep up the great work...
