It looks like a grat job men! It will be as good as the other TIR Rom... at least! As you know there are a lot of us waiting for this new ROM, and not only in this forum ;-)

You can use the Microsoft Device EMulator for custom ROM's, so even if it was a screen capture from an Emulator, the ROM may be real, search SamualTee.
Also, as far as I know, the HSPL is ready, they are just making a couple of small changes and are also trying out new things in respect to storage manufacturers and the way they respond to the HSPL.

If the ROM is bigger than 96MB does not boot on the devices emulator.

i know that is crazy but i will try to make an rom with android inside
lets see how it goes
as we dont have an bootloader i will make an smaller windows as bootstrap and load android through haret
i have already did this for my elfin and it works nicely

Where ??? I found only (not exactly same) kind of this for Touch Pro 2.
@jerpelea: Your idea is good. If you would mix very light-weight ROM and newest fatsal's XPdroid build with GenY's DualBoot app it would be very nice.
PS: Every idea which pushes development further is good.

Do you plan to put the distribution inside the flash too?! This way it might be faster as SD card is not as fast as ROM. If yes - so looking forward to see this!!!

I think android on xperia is still very buggy (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609463) i.e. screen flipped... so imho it's a bit premature to cook a full flash to use android, haret is fine for debugging and let us use the phone 100% with windowsmobile. Maybe you can focus on developing a proper build before focus on flash

Why so nagative? Instead support this guy! fatsal and jerpelea can learn a lot from each other and thus speed up the andriod development for the X1. Besides that we don't already have this... (unless I missed something).
fatsal his Android version does not include a lightweight windows mobile and is dependent on 3rd party tools like the dual boot loader if you want to boot it straight away when yuo turn your X1 on.
Anyway, I hope both jerpelea and fatsal will work together to solve all the bugs still at large with Android on the X1.

I agree that it's kind of premature, however it could be a nice test to see if it runs any faster than from a flash card. I'm quite excited about the possibility of android on the x1 as the biggest problems I have with my x1 come from the limitations of the wm6 architecture.

A friendly advise to all of us users of rom released by our fellow members;
1) When you want some changes to their rom do it politely.
2) You could try to ask for the kitchen and if granted then cook your own rom according to your taste.
3) You could manually change some items according to your specs if you want once rom is already installed in your device.
That way we could encourage them even more to provide us updated builds. We should be thankful enough for having these people who are willing to sacrifice their time and their computer units just to build rom for us . . .

I understand that it relies on Nokia drivers.

Does it requires anything for the phone?OS? 8773 or later than that?
Mine is 8107 with HTC Mozart though,

i don't know if the app need nokia drivers.. but the app only support OS 8773 or higher..
i had installed it over the marketplace on my htc hd7, but it don't work: "the app is not supported by your os version" (but i have 8773.98)
maybe someone find a way to bring this counter as app... i thought always, its not possible, but something in the new os versions make that possible..
this is for me the last important app, that i miss on wp7..

Taken from the release log from Nokia:
Counters app requires particular phone software. You can check operating system version in Settings>about>more information>"OS version". You should have either 8773 or 8779 in the string. Check for updates here.
So I don't think you need to have Nokia drivers, I'll report back tomorrow with my other phone (LG Optimus 7) which has been changed to Nokia marketplace and phone info, all the other apps works except camera extras..

oh? So your LG optimus is now in 8773? Is it updated one or just editing the registry? ==
somehow I sees ppl in Chinese forum said that with 8779 they can't use it =_=.
Edited on 1/8/12: Hey I have flashed my rom to DFTv5 rom lately,With wphtweak or winTT i changed the marketplace into Nokia.
With trying the Counters, it still fails
but the main thing it shocked me is, I just notice that Camera Extras options are shown in my camera settings
I just noticed that this morning == yet,I'm not sure it's already installed in the ROM or it's after me installing camera extra
Somehow it has ISO contrast settings that my HTC Mozart do not have =/
*Camera Extras and Counters can't be opened in App list there
I was desperate of getting counters to work in my phone,but it ended up I didn't notice when did the Camera Extra occurs @@

i have edited the registry entries identifying my HTC Mozart to Lumia 800 and NOKIA (according to a post on this board), i've also updated my default market to Nokia - rebooted the phone - no effect.
After i try to launch both Counters or Contact Share app i get this error:

You need to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29552936&postcount=82 , but .cab file must be signed with your ROM certificate.

Finally, someone said something usefull!! Indeed, i found an error while trying to install the CAB from the WP7 Update Cab utility saying:
A certificate chain could not be built to a trusted root authority.
How then do i sign the file and where do i get the certificate from ?? I'm currently using the latest 8779 Mozart Custom rom from Dynamics (v1.21b)

You can get this certificate from people that built your ROM. You may also ask them to sign this .cab file and upload it somewhere.

Can anyone prepare the xap file for other windows phone device..

Same thoughts here. They way they did it with Nokia Drive. It will be great to have a xap and install on other devices.

Wait for 7.8 DataSmart

It didn't work on my LG Optimus 7, when I opened the app it told me to update my phone. So probobly I need something that only Nokia has...
My Optimus 7 is updated to 8337.98
