[Q] [noob] How to Reset... Rooted CWM+XXKL7 - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay, I have to shameless ask some expert advice. Color me foolish.
I'm all new in this smartphone galaxy and Note Club. In short, I know how to press a few buttons. I just want to make sure I'm not going to press a button that wipes everything off the device.
I've had my SGN for nearly a week, and it came pre-installed w/ rooted CWM + XXKL7 on it, whatever that means. I got it from a great guy off ebay really! It was lightly used however the original owner had buyers remorse and went back to his S2.
I mindlessly played w/ my Note for a few days installing what knows what off android market, and now, I prefer to reset and wipe all I've installed back to when I first had my hands on it. 1. How do I do that?
2. After resetting my Note, should I backup my start point (which I didn't do in the first place)?
3. Having read a few pages, where do I go from there? Upgrade to LA1?
Baby steps please. I'm very overwhelmed by now been in this forum for hours catching up w/ progress. PLEASE HELP!!

You are in the best possible situation to Upgrade to LA1 and lose the root. Do the following
1.Boot in recovery Vol UP + Power + Home.
2.Select Factory Reset.
3.Download Mobile Odin Pro and LA1.
4.Unrar LA1 and go down to the level where it has a bunch of Tar files.
5.Copy everything in that folder and put it in ur Note.
6.Open Mobile Odin Pro and open the CODE file in the bunch of Tar files.
7.Uncheck ever-root, CWM and SU and click flash.
8.You will have an unrooted LA1 phone.
Cheers!

The latest firmware XXLA3 is out. It is also full wipe which will reset you to a stock phone as though you just bought it. The steps above are still valid.

On second thought, i looked at the above post and notice BABY STEPS. okay so here you go.
Turn off your phone and put it into download mode by pressing the three keys: power, home and vol down simultaneously and hold it until the screen comes on.
It will show up as some warning, just press vol up to continue into download mode.
Then connect your phone to your computer with the usb. Make sure all drivers have been installed with kies, else install kies and connect your phone normally to the computer and repeat all the steps again once you're done.
1) download the above file and extract the rar. It will come out as a folder named as N7000XXLA3 or something like that.
2) Go to this link to download Odin v1.85 http://www.multiupload.com/1RTGSE061G and then open it.
3) Connect your phone to it in download mode as mentioned above and a box in yellow saying COM:3 or 4 or 5 or some number, will appear. Don't worry about the number, as long as it appears it's fine.
4) Put this file CODE_N7000XXLA3_CL880036_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5 into the PDA box.
5) Put this file MODEM_N7000XXLA3 blah blah blah into PHONE. There's only one such file so don't worry
6) Lastly put GT-N7000-MULTI-CSC-OXALA3.tar.md5 into CSC
Don't worry about the rest of the files. DON'T CLICK Re-Partition or anything else, else you'll screw up your phone big time. and don't pull out the usb cable or something halfway. It will restart automatically so don't worry about it.
7) Once ready, click start and the process will proceed.
PM me if you need further help.

I really appreciate the 'baby steps.' Just hitted the THANK button.
One question before I start your procedure, so will I end up with STILL a rooted or unrooted Note?
Stock = unrooted?
Then, do I go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360 ?

wouldnt ODIN to Stock increase the binary counter thus avoiding warranty?
Revert back to stock is fine but wouldnt ODIN to Stock increase the binary counter thus avoiding warranty?
Do we have any CWM method to getting rooted and removing the CWM so that the vol up + Power + Home key would take us straight to download mode instead of CWM and showing us Samsung official hence keeping the binary counter 0??

Borrowing some space in the thread for a question.
About the binary counter. Just what will trigger the counter?
On my device its still on 0/no and i have:
Rooted with zergrush.
Flashed with Odin, Mobile Odin and CWM.
Flashed the device about 50 times i would guess (flash-junkie i know)
Probably tried every custom rom/kernel including the CM9.

As long as you do not flash an insecure kernel using ODIN, you are safe. And even if the counter does walk, there are ways to reset it. Can find on the forum. Basically always flash zip files in CWM recovery and mobile odin and you will be safe.

[MOD] Fix for hardware locked phones / cant access recovery without adb.

NOTICE 10/18/2010:
I just captured the JI6 OTA update files from one of my phones and found that T-mobile is
updating the SBL with the same file found in this thread, I'm using the same method as T-mobile
to install the new SBL so the chances for a brick are the same but if you are completely
stock just wait for the OTA update and have the phone swapped under warranty in the
event of a brick.
WARNING:
INSTALLING THIS CAN BRICK YOUR PHONE
this is safer than the odin method, but when messing with the phones bootloader
there is always a chance that you could end up with a paper weight (I bricked
one phone messing with this stuff).
Updated 10-15-2010
this is the fix for hardware locked phones in update.zip form
install the phone drivers which can be found at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728929
put update.zip on the internal sd card (the 12 gb one)
turn on USB debugging in Settings-->Applications-->Development
reboot into recovery, use the RebootRecovery.bat in adb.zip if you dont know
how to do that.
when in recovery use the vol up and down buttons to navigate and power button to
select reinstall packages
install will take about 20-30 seconds and will pause at "writing secondary bootlader" don't panic
the phone will reboot you should be unlocked (or bricked).
update.zip md5=3b32fab99049530d2185014340840a47
I can vouch for this. It worked exactly as described.
Thanks!
Just to make sure after I do this I can flash any rom through odin without problem?

I have flashed JFD, JI6, JI6 unofficial, JI6 OTA after flashing this and have had
no problem's
in general these files are written to parts of the phone that are usually never
written again after manufacturing and are responsible for getting the hardware
ready to load the kernel and then loading the kernel and booting the phone and
should not have any issues loading any ROM you care to flash.
Right now I can access download mode intermittently (maybe 1/10 times) by holding vol-up-down + power with usb plugged in. I cannot access recovery mode at all. Will this flash ruin my ability to access download mode? I feel like download mode is more important than recovery in case of a brick, but I would like the ability to go to recovery without adb or rom manager.
I've tried this 5 times, ODIN says failed everytime,EDIT Apparently 3rd times the 3rd time is the charm cause the 9th time it worked, Second Edit, The 9th time it started but its been 10 minutes so I assume it froze, Dammit.

So your recovery works now? Can you also get into download mode?
I'll add my Vibrant to the list of previously hardware locked phones, fixed by this.
I'd like to send out a HUGE thanks. Recovery and Download mode work every single time now. I can start playing around with roms safely.
Thank you so much

No, It did not work, The 9th time it actually started instead of saying failed immediately, But after 20 minutes nothing had changed and then odin cr5ashed and now my phone is soft-bricked/bricked whatever it is. All I know is im ****ing pissed. Can somebody point me in the direction of a complete restore thread? EDIT: Yeah I finally got it, Thank god I have never had a problem getting into download mode, When I say got it I mean restoring my phone to work not getting recovery to work, If I flash J14 first then J16 am I gonna lose the ability to go into recovery mode if the J14 update does actualy let my phone go into recovery?
untermensch said:
The leaked JI4 firmware contained the files needed to get the our phones unlocked
attached is an odin flashable tar with sbl.bin, boot.bin when flashed your phone wont ignore
the vol up + vol down + power buttons and you will be able to access recovery.
if you haven't used odin before follow AgentFour20's instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8541107&postcount=35
note:
1. the port wont be com4 for everyone as long as odin shows a com port you should be fine.
2. you might not need adb this method worked on my locked phone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqxearzXrVY
you can flash this over any ROM or firmware and will probably never have to flash it again because boot.bin, sbl.bin are rarely included in firmware.
as usual use caution when flashing your phone, I am not sure if you can get back into download mode if this flash fails, So flash at your own risk!

Gonna put in my vote for one recommendation for you people who have a dickens of a time getting into download mode and are afraid of Odin3 leaving you stranded.
Try using Odin3 v1.30 instead of Odin3 v1.00 (it's linked in the Bible thread). My failure rate on flashing with v1.30 so far is zero. My failure rate when I was flashing with v1.00 was more to the tune of 50% of the time. I'm not hardware locked, so this is less scary for me than it is for you.
Just a safety tip...Best of luck!
sounds like solution is simple, but why did this occur on some vibrants in the first place?

My guess would be that there are different internal JFD firmware images floating around wherever Samsung manufactures these, and one had the bugtastic sbl. We've already seen in the case of JI6 (where there were actually two versions of this firmware, with the leaked version from Kies having a nearly week older build date) that Samsung isn't necessarily consistent with their versioning.
Just a guess though..
Awesome....used odin 1.3 and this took a few seconds and worked flawlessly
if you follow the instructions in the posts above, don't see how you can go wrong
I can now access download mode and recovery...and I can sleep a lot easier knowing that if something happens I can fix it now
Yes! Masterotaku thank you so much for posting about odin3 v1.3, 1st time it work for J14 over J16, I can now boot into download and recovery mode. Sweet.

hmmm interesting, seems like samsung isn't consistent with their screen tints also. They need to get quality control under quality control
Wanted to add that this worked for me as well. Thanks for the info.
Worked on first try, Odin 1.3. Thank you so much for this fix! I knew holding out on replacing my vibrant would pay off =)
Now I got into recovery by both vol + power then release power, but how do you guys get into download mode? I used to be able to get there occasionally by doing that same key combo, but with usb attached.
EDIT: Wow that was easy.
RECOVERY MODE: Hold both volume buttons and power, once vibrant logo shows up, release power.
DOWNLOAD MODE: Hold both volume buttons (no power) and plug in USB. Instant!
EDIT: Honestly I can't thank you enough. This is so amazing!
Thanks so much, this really works, my 1st time ever using odin 1.3
and finally figure out what adb is. Before even pulling the battery would
not get me into download, and the only way to get into recovery was using
clockworkmod. This really works!!! thanks you thanks you.
Everything is not as good as it seems. I managed to flash the fix all right and now I have download mode. But my friend had done the same steps as myself but odin FAILED to flash the fix. It just said:
<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
<ID:0/006> Removed!!
And his phone is totally bricked now.
It is really dangerous to use ODIN on hardware locked phones... Too high chance of failure to flash. ((

[Q] Messed it up and need help

This WAS the situation before the problems:
Rooted Gingerbread rom, all working fine. Decided to unroot and install the full version of the official German ICS rom by using PC Odin. All went fine and used my Note for over two days. Because of the lags en slow responses I decided to reflash the ICS rom. From that moment on I messed it up. I've been reading and searching hundreds of posts for almost a day but didn't find a solution.
This IS the current situation:
I can get into download mode
I can get in recovery mode
However, in recovery mode I can not install a rom, every flash (CWM, both ICS and GB - even using chainfire's rom needed for rooting) stops on a random moment...but never gets it to the end, even if I wait several hours. Installing is very...very....very slow.
In recovery mode i can not restore a Nandroid backup, both ICS and GB. Every backup stops when /system has te be installed. errormessage.
In download mode I can connect my Note to PC Odin. I can select a rom and start flashing. However, after appr. 80% installation halts during "nand write start", no error message. The flashing does not finish, even after hours.
Funny is, i can install a kernel like Abyss.
So, I can't restore, i can't flash using cwm in recovery and I can't flash using PC Odin. My device seems not fully bricked. The max I get when rebooting (knowing that the process has not finished) is the triangle screen.
Any advise is appreciated.
Do not flash thru CWM... Flash a good GB kernel like "franco.Kernel" but thru PC Odin then u can flash whatever u want from franco's CWM... Good luck
Don't need help anymore
Note is officially bricked. After several attempts to recover from a softbrick the screen of my Note didn't turn on anymore. No button or button combination works, no recovery and no download mode, just a black screen.

Flat battery? It's also possible that it's just the screen that's not working. Try entering download mode "blind". So hold power+home+vol down for ~10 seconds, then press vol up. Hook it up via usb and see if Odin can recognize it.
Thanks, didn't think of that. But unfortunately no response from the device.
So now that it looks like your phone is officially bricked, I think you should just take it to Samsung and make up a story. Like you were updating your software with Kies and something happened and the phone is just not booting up.
I am sorry you bricked your note though..
try AMORA Filemanager.. flash via recovery and you have a file manager,,, take a look on your partitions
just my idea, you got nothing to lose

Maybe it's just the battery, try to charge it externally and try a JIG also

My Note was superbricked. Had to send it to a Samsung Service Center. No additional questions were asked. Samsung replaced the mainboard. Didn't have to pay anything.
Great service!!!
try this out buddy, do it on your own risk!!! anyways you have messed it up.

i was not a member when i commited this mistake. but then big thanks to this community it helped me back from softbrick.
first you do is install a stock kernel of ics on your note go into recovery and just clear cache partition, thats it no wipe/data factory reset.
then,
install the pit file from this thread, also read it completely before proceeding. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1667886 , hoping yours is 16gb version and also read this thread for additional info but its quite complicated for me so im just telling you the direct method and hopefully itll get your note back to work. so once you download the 16gb pit file unzip it and in the unzip folder you will find a separately lying pit of 16gb stating patched-standard thats the one you want.
then,
goto samfirmware and download the latest ics firmware(i downloaded the indian one as it is in file .tar),
unzip it till you get .tar file.
open odin- click pit-select 16gb patched standard pit- check wether repartion is ticked- click pda-select the .tar file you extracted connect your phone and start. this time i wont stop at factory.fs.....
NOTE THAT AFTER THIS PROCEDURE IS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE WOULD BE ONLY 8GB INSTEAD OF 11 GB STOCK WHICH YOU WERE GETTING.
I REVIVED MY NOTE THROUGH THIS PROCEDURE. PROCEES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
one your phone is working you'll be able to reset the counter with a jig and get your phone under warranty and get your motherboard changed by teliing at the Samsung Service that you are getting only 8gb instead of 11gb you used to get earlier(warranty only if you had any).
hope this helps mate.
BEST OF LUCK!!
A BIG HUGE THANKS TO hg42.....

My Note updated with XXLPY now no google service or play store :S

I have update my Samsung Galaxy note n7000 from GB to ICS from phone not from KIES but right after update i can't access play store or any google services. I have checked the phone on many different router there is no problem in wifi connectivity.
While searching on google XXLPY is the culprit here and its the bad update which i got from the OTA now what to do next, i have reset my phone two or three time but all in vain or may be i am lucky that i don't get my device bricked

yes many time i have used it on my Galaxy Ace but that was low end phone and i don't want to mess with this phone. Its all just because of OTA update from Samsung
My question is that should i have to flashed it with Gb first if yes then which region is safe to flash it with.
P.S i have ask a friend who has flashed it from ICS to ICS of different firmware by using abssyynote kernel :S
This is what my friend told me to do is it safe ?? or can be done in this way ??
i dont need to tell you that you have to be very careful in following these steps,
although i have tried them 5 times on 5 different notes successfully still mistakes can be dangerous so be careful and follow them to the letter and take your time to read before you start
also if you can do this with a laptop its better than a pc because if the electricity cut out it could mess up the phone. its safer to have a battery, btw just as i finished this line we had a black out here lol electricity cut off for the whole block
copy AbyssNotekernel42.zip and CWM.zip to the phone
power off the phone and take the battery out to make sure its off
power it back on holding volume up + home + power to go to recovery mode
choose install zip from sdcard
select the CWM.zip and choose yes install
you will get clock work mode interface then choose install update zip from sdcard again
select AbyssNotekernel42.zip and install it
power off and remove the battery and put it back
power on holding volume up + home + power to go to recovery mode again
this time it the abyss kernel recovery and it works with the touch screen
it is safe to do a factory reset from here so do it
then power off and remove the battery again and put it in
this time power on the phone with volume down + home + power to go to download mode
start Odin on the pc then connect the phone in download mode
click on PDA and then select the rom XXLPD file "N7000JPLPD_N7000OJPLP7_N7000XXLPT_HOME.tar.md5" and click start
when the phone restarts make sure the samsung logo apears then remove the battery so that it doesnt boot up
start the phone again in download mode volume down + home + power
select the speedmod kernel file and flash it to the phone same way you flashed the rom in PDA select "speedmod-kernel-n7000-ics-k3-11-Odin.tar" then click start
when the phone restarts again remove the battery after the samsung logo apears
power on the phone into recovery again for the last factory reset volume up + home + power
do the factory reset and reboot the phone
There are a few steps missing there. I would go to the link I posted above.
First download Odin 1.85 from link A. 1
Next download pre rooted GB from A.8 and flash it using Odin under pda
Then down load lpy open German 4.0.3 which you want from B.1 and flash in PDA using Odin.
That's it your done!
You comfortable with that?

CF-Root has been available for many devices and has clocked over 8 million downloads. This is not even counting custom ROMs that already include it. Don't be a leech, buy me a beer (and use the "Thanks" button!). Imagine if every CF-Root user has donated me $1...
What's installed
- SuperSU binary and APK
- Stock recovery
Installation and usage
Flash the CF-Auto-Root package as PDA in ODIN (details on how to do that are in next post), and your device should reboot into a modified recovery (signified by a large red Android logo) and it will install SuperSU for you and restore the stock recovery, and reboot back into Android.
If you don't get to the red Android logo, boot into recovery manually ("adb reboot recovery", or boot while holding Power+VolUp+Home).
Using this root increases your flash counter. You should run Triangle Away (see below) after rooting to reset the counter. Note that if you want to run custom kernels or custom recoveries, your flash counter will be set to 1 at every boot. Either configure Triangle Away to reset the counter at every boot (Play version only) or only reset the counter when you need to go into warranty.
Did you see the red Android logo during rooting, but SuperSU does not appear? This may sometimes occur due to left-over files and settings, however, you can usually install SuperSU from Google Play at this stage and it'll just work.
Not included - Triangle Away
Triangle Away can be used to reset the flash counter after installing CF-Root. The flash counter keeps track of how many custom firmwares you have flashed, as this voids warranty. (No idea what this about ? Read up on it, you will want to use this !)
Not included - adbd Insecure
As this CF-Root does not include a custom kernel, adb shell does not have root access by default (you can still get it by typing su inside the shell), nor is adb remount supported, nor will adb push and adb pull work on system files. adbd Insecure can be used to remedy this situation. (No idea what this is about ? Don't worry about it !)

ODIN Installation (detailed)
- Follow these instructions to the letter. Do not touch any buttons or checkboxes that are not listed below to touch!
- Unzip the attached Odin3-vX.X.zip file
- Download and unzip the CF-Auto-Root-....zip file (see posts below this one)
- If you end up with a recovery.img and cache.img file, you've extracted twice. You need to end up with a .tar.md5 file - don't extract that one
- (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
- Start Odin3-vX.X.exe
- Click the PDA button, and select CF-Auto-Root-....tar.md5
- Put your phone in download mode (turn off phone, then hold VolDown+Power to boot - if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button, or run adb reboot download command)
- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
- Make sure Repartition is NOT checked
- Click the Start button
- Wait for Android to boot
- Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)
- NOTE: Sometimes the device does *not* boot into recovery mode and root your device. Just do the entire procedure again if this happens. If it still will not install root and such, make sure that in Odin "Auto Reboot" is not checked. Then after flashing, hold VolUp+Power (for several seconds) to boot into recovery manually. This will start the install process.
New to Samsung? Unfamiliar with Odin? Think all the above is a hassle? Get used to it. It's very simple, and us Samsung folk use Odin (or Mobile ODIN ) for everything! It's so very very convenient once you get used to it. Notice the 30 second comment above? For experienced users, the entire process indeed takes only 30 seconds!
You may now optionally want to install and run Triangle Away to reset the flash counter.

Thank you CF for this recovery method...hope you have taken care of the new stock recovery protection scheme that seems to be in place for JB 4.1.x.
I bought you one of the best app "ChainFire3D" & appreciate all the work you are doing for Android gadgets......all of your tools are brilliant work.
Wish I would have programming skill like yours...LOL

Do you have a blue progress bar on screen below the Android ?
If it's full, just reboot the phone.
45 min, may have a problem? HELP!
Just reboot your phone. Pull the battery, hold power button, whichever works. Then see what happens.
DONT PANIC. Nothing bad has happened.

Ehh, silly question, did you use ODIN and uploaded the file? Because then you should definitely get a progress bar.

Not the tab, but ODIN had a bunch in the lower left. succeed 0/failure 0 and the last was please wait.
I think it's a driver problem as I did root something else a few weeks ago? But there was a SAMSUNG driver in device manager with no exclamations.
Was a driver problem in win7 64b. Rooted now and Ti backup works great. Thanks a bunch.

[ROM][ODIN]SPH-L720 MF9 (MF9 Modem/Kernel/Bootloader/ROM - No Data Wipe - Rooted)

First, a HUGE thanks goes @garwynn for being my partner through all of this and then to @sfhub for teaching me how to create Odin One-Click.exe files and creating the original thread I'm using as a template for this one, @agat63 for helping me get the hang of what sfhub started teaching me, @MoHoGalore for helping test and put together so many of these one-clicks, @crawrj for providing the TAR I used to compile the one-click, and to everyone else in our community who makes this possible!
This Odin One-Click.exe contains a Rooted Stock MF9 ROM, Bootloader, Kernel and Modem for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720).
The only changes to the ROM from the initial build released by Samsung are that root access has been added along with SuperSU and BusyBox.
This will NOT trigger the Yellow Triangle NOR will it increment the Odin flash count.
This one-click resets your whole phone to a rooted stock MF9 experience and it does not wipe user data.
Instructions:
1: Backup anything important and Disable any PINs.
During this process your phone's software will be returned to the Stock setup. All system data will be lost. To be safe, it is best to archive your backup off your phone, ie on your PC or Dropbox.
2: Install Samsung USB/Android drivers (if necessary).
Samsung Drivers Download Link
3: Download the MF9 Stock ROM One-Click.
SPH-L720_MF9_Rooted_NoData_Restore(compressed archive).exe
4: Unzip One-Click ROM using 7zip (this package is a self-extracting exe you should just be able to double-click on it after download and it will do the rest).
5: Start the Odin One-Click.
Navigate to the location where the SPH-L720_MF9_Rooted_NoData_Restore.exe was saved upon extract from the 7Zip archive.
Double-click on SPH-L720_MF9_Rooted_NoData_Restore.exe. *On Vista or newer, you may need to right-click on the file and Run as Administrator.
6: Place phone in Download Mode.
- Power phone completely off.
- Press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons, all at the same time.
- Release the buttons only when the ‘Warning!!’ message appears.
- Press [Volume Up] to enter Download mode.
7: Connect USB cable to PC and phone.
Odin should show a yellow COM port in the second column. If you do not see a yellow COM port, you may need to run the Odin One-Click as Administrator and/or unplug/plugin the USB cable after starting Odin One-Click.
8: Start Odin flash process.
Press [Start].
9: Complete - PASS!
Status should change to green PASS! At this point your phone should automatically reboot.
Android Instructions:
Download and install ZArchiver on your phone. Use it to unpack the Odin One-Click 7zip self-extracting exe file (long press on the 7zip exe. Select "Open As Archive". Select the One-Click.exe and then select Extract). Use Mobile Odin to Open File the SPH-L720_MF9_Rooted_NoData_Restore.exe. FYI - Modem will not flash with Mobile Odin.
The boot process will take slightly longer than usual during which time you'll see the Sprint 4G logo screen.
Congratulations! You've flashed the Rooted No Data Factory Restore MF9 build!

This might be a crazy question, but do you plan on offering a rooted, data wipe version of this?

I should be able to work something out.
Gotta find the time to do it though. This one was easy as Crawrj did the work of building the TAR already. I'll have to either build the TAR or find one that has the data wipe written in.

No rush! Having a data wipe rooted option makes it easy to do some "spring cleaning" and start fresh if a flashed ROM gives me trouble. Thanks again for both files! I'm a new owner of a GS4, and I'm learning all over again. Had a GS3 for a year and found that to be extremely easy to root/restore and flash. I hope the GS4 is the same!

Try flashing the full restore from the link below and then retry flashing the rooted no data restore. Could be some incompatible data in your previous build.

tried booting to recovery, wiped data, then rebooted phone (without re-flashing from Odin again)
this time it did boot, and I am now waiting for all of the Spring bloatware to finish loading...
looks good so far

Sorry I didn't get to this. Things came up over past week. Thanks rwilco12, I'll help get a rooted together if not done this weekend.

Thanks so much for this guys. I've been busy the last few weeks and didn't see this posted. I've really missed the one-clicks from the S2 days and I'm glad you could come up with these. I'm stuck in a hotel in NOLA with crappy internet and I'm trying to download both the unrooted restore file to wipe my phone, and then I'll run this on top of it.
For anyone who hasn't used these one-clicks before, I highly recommend them. So easy, especially if you want to totally wipe the phone and start from scratch like I do periodically.
Thanks again!

I don't have an S4 myself so I have no way to grab the TAR files I need to make it happen. If someone happens to grab the TAR let me know and I'll see what I can do to make it happen.

I can test injecting root into system.img or getting via dump, but no promises that it will flash. N3 didn't work, it's why there's no one click yey.

There are no mirrors. It is expressly forbidden. I'm fairly sure it's in the OP.
