hi
i cant find ICS boot animation for my DHD
any one can help me?
Try this, just push it to where your current bootanim is.
(I havnt tried this yet so i cant guarantee that it will work 100%)
What I did, was take the boot animation (/system/media/bootanimation.zip) from this rom and placed it in the same zipped folder in my desired rom.

Hi guys,
Im currently working on my Hello Moto theme again but i want to incorporate a bootscreen, does anyone know how to make one from a .gif?
Mike
You need CreateG1Splash.
Tutorial is here...
http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=Creating_Splashboot_Images
Just go down half the page, download the zip. Creat an image in .png and use CreateG1Splash.exe to convert.... Next yoou need to flash it on your device.
Fastboot flash splash1 C:\Mysplash.rgb565 (if it is in your root of the C: drive).

isnt that just a stand still image? I want to make the moving thingy
the SPLASHSCREEN is the very first image. it is flashed through fastboot (and only through fastboot) and is a still image.
the BOOTSCREEN is the animated gif which is played after the splashscreen is shown, until the ui has loaded. it is a part of the rom, can be pushed via adb or flashed via update.zip.

Make an animated .gif of the right resolution (not sure exactly but I think it's anything smaller than the screen res..) and flash it to the correct folder.

I know I have posted this on another thread, but redmdc should be praised for this. Check the thread below, you can put your own bootscreen in and change other aspects in a gui.

NS4G theme template
you can use it to deodex stock NS4G, you can use it to wipe a theme to ready your phone for another theme and as a theme template to base your theme off of. have fun..
THIS IS NOT A ROM!!!!!!
it only contains the:
Framework, font , stock apps
its just a template
As always do a backup before you do anything.
You can install through rom manager or through recovery.
how to: hit rom manager icon, thien hit install ROM from sd card, choose zip you want to install, make sure the wipe delvic cache is checked and hit ok.
if through recovery you must mount the system in the advanced menu.

Oh not the boot animation the boot splash thats the screen before the boot animation, the lg logo i want to chance that
To the best of my knowledge it can be changed but it will require quite a lot of work and some googling. I believe the boot splash is contained within bootloader, which I believe is a boot.IMG ull have extract that find the files to replace. The hard part is the files are not just jpgs or pngs they are a obscure image format a quick Google showed someone found a way of converting them but the rest is up to you
Look for initlogo.rle. It is a file loaded by init on each boot, if it exists. It is located in root and by default you won't find it and you have to create one. You have to un- and repack the boot.img to edit that file.
The file has a special format. For more information, look here.
Also, keep in mind that this will not change the LG logo built into the bootloader. With our knowledge so far, it cannot be changed.

bootloop by boot animation ? rom toolbox is doing something wrong
look for any boot animation over forums and place it in system/media replacing the old bootanimation.zip and set right permissions and reboot
if something went wrong by placing bootanimation , device shell boot without bootanimation
check this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521643 , there is thousands more over forums
Trying to swap it out in system/media/bootanimation.zip but it's not taking. Also tried replacing the sprint_bootanimation.zip but that didn't work either.
And yes, I changed permissions. Any advice
look in /carrier/cust/poweron
Thanks bro, it worked!
Edit: What bootani are you using? I'm using a Android M bootani I found on the International thread. Do you have a boot down ani?

Stock. I deleted the Sound on boot and that's why I knew where it was.
And for those that want to do the same
Using root explorer (had to mount R/W) if I recall, I renamed
/carrier/cust/poweron/PowerOn.ogg to /carrier/cust/poweron/PowerOn.ogg_
and
/carrier/cust/poweroff/PowerOff.ogg to /carrier/cust/poweroff/PowerOff.ogg_
Now it's silent on reboot.
Thanks again.
Hey guys I accidently replaced the stock boot animation. Any chance one of you guys could upload the original boot animation from carrier/cust/poweron ? Thank you!

Look in system/media/audio/PowerOn.ogg, PowerOff.ogg
I renamed it here and in /carrier/cust/... for ZV6
Ok, so I'm trying to swap out my boot animation and I'm just getting the default Android one. I've renamed the bootanimation.zip in /carrier/cust/ as well as /system/media/ to bootanimation.zip.bak and copied the replacement bootanimation.zip into the /system/media/ directory and changed the permissions to rw-r-r (644) and still nothing. I'm currently on a rooted ZV6 build. Anybody got any ideas? Am I missing something?
