hi guys...i am looking for a full dump for samsung galaxy s i9000m to flash my phone to stock...please help!
If your phone is rooted, download Spooffw from the market, follow the instructions to spoof your firmware to jl2 and once you complete the steps, connect to Kies and it will install stock kg3 right from Samsung

Hi All,
I Upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S to Froyo 2.2. All seems well but the performance does not seem all that great as well.
If i want to restore back to the Standard Manufacturer Firmware (i was on JG4) that comes out of the box with the I9000 what do i have to do? Any help here would be appreciated.
Download the firmware from samsung-firmwares and flash your phone with odin. There is plenty of flashing tutorials about to show you how to do it. Although if you managed to update to froyo then you properly already know how to flash it again

Hello. I managed to get the firmware from samfirmware.com for the original 2.1 (Asian version) but I couldn't get it to follow through. There would always be an error with regards to MD5 or something. What do I do? Thanks

I have the same problem as well, any helps here please?
Alot of the the DXJG4 firmware out there is corrupted.
So, try download DXJF4 from samfirmware.com (and flash with Odin with 513 pit) then uprade to DXJG4 through KIES.
NOTE: If KIES says "Device version's cannot be upgraded". Then you need to change your product code back to "XSO" (Search the forum on how to change product code.... about editing the nv_data.bin file)
My Flash history:
DXJF4-->DXJG4-->XXJPK-->DXJG4
I'm pretty new....
The firmware versions you guys are talking about are I hope, all "software" version and not real hardware chip revisions?
thanks
why dont you just flash your phone with 2.2.1 or 2.3.3(latest).....i know 2.2 is quite unstable FW but 2.2.1 will help a lots......I dont think you need to downgrade the phone back to the stock FW to solve any problem

Bell Stock FW
I've made a copy of my Bell Galaxy Tab FW using the Roto Backup technique which you're welcome to try. I haven't try restoring it to my device yet as I *just* got it and am still a little hesitant - so use at your own risk - I will assume no liability for what it does to your device. The image is version JJ7, rooted using z4root (you should just be able to use the same to unroot it), and unlocked using the hex edit technique (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843323 - or specifically, I changed byte 0x181469 from 01 to 00 using a hex editor - so you can just reverse this to lock it again)
I would also consider the alternative of restoring to the JJ3 "Provider Samsung P1000 Firmwares" available on samfirmware.com. After that, upgrade to the most current via Kies. I have not tried this and assume no liability for what this does to your device either.
Let me know if you'd like my Bell image and I'll send you a link to it.
Hi smd2008,
Would you please provide a download link for the 'Bell stock rom'? I need to revert back to stock. Much appreciated!
Hi do you mind if you please send me that bell firmware please thanks
Hi, I'd love to get my hands on a copy of the Bell stock firmware...
warranty issues.... please help!
Roto Backup of Bell Stock ROM
Hi smd2008 or any one,
Could you share your experience with the Roto backup of your Bell stock Rom. I have just tried to do a Roto backup for my Bell SGT ( UGJJ7 ) . When it came to adb pull commands, system returned an error saying the file was not exist.
I have tried both Z4Root and SuperOneClick 1.9.5 to root but both cases showing the same error. I had set the SGT USB to Debugging mode and mounted as R/W with Root Explorer. I used the Command mode in PC then followed the Roto backup scripts. I used the ADB files attached with SuperOneClick download. Occasionally, the connection of the SGT to PC might lost when I entered the -dd command for dbdata.rfs. But I managed to completed all the -dd and tar commands after re-starting the PC. It looks like the files were created but just couldn't find them.
Could any one advise how to correct the problem? Thanks.
Found the cause of problem. It was due to SDcard not mounted.
Could someone please inform how to get the SDcard mounted when using the command mode in PC to do Roto backup.
bell stock firmware
hi
i was wondering if i could get a copy of the firmware as well, for warranty purposes i need to flash my tab back to stock.
thank you
Any hopes to get the stock rom for Bell Froyo?
Okey, first of all, I'm a complete noob when it comes to this, so I need some help.
After long browsing I was able to root my Samsung Galaxy.
Now I want to update my Galaxy from 2.2 to Gingerbread.
Since I rooted my Galaxy it won't connect to Kies anymore, so I guess Kies won't work.
I have an Samsung Galaxy S I9000,
FROXO.XWJPA,
Kernel Version 2.6.32.9
Is it possible to update, if yes, how?
Thanks
anyone? :l
Go to samfirmwares.com for the latest firmware

Download a FW from Samfirmware, the latest is I9000XXJVR (Its 2.3.4), then via Odin you flash a 3 file's, its CODE, MODEM and CSC, and pit file and tick re-partition
Xooley,
I'm new on the forums so cant post any links but if you search for "how to use Odin" then it's really not that difficult.
The biggest decision you have is whether to stick with a "stock" copy of firmware i.e released by the manufacturer or install one of the modded versions from the hard working developers on XDA.
if you have a rooted phone then this wouldn't normally prevent KIES from working, so it might be that your carrier (orange?) hasn't release a Gingerbread version yet.
You can get most stock roms from samfirmwares as stated above. If you've never installed a rom before, make sure you read about it (checked youtube) to see if there are any problems with the one that you have chosen.
best of luck
Hello! I've been reading a bit and I found that there is an official update for the Galaxy S i9000T via KIES (Same Galaxy as offering Movistar Venezuela) called Gingerbread 2.3.3 (UBJV6). Of course Movistar Venezuela has not released this update or any of Gingerbread, and apparently do not intend to, as they do "crazy" when spoken to update.
My factory firmware is froyo 2.2.1. With the terrible bug in the Gallery and its extreme use of battery.
I read that you can patch the KIES to allow you to make the official update, if I remember correctly this update came out for free i9000T, and Telcel Mexico. With this version there is no problem of losing the 850MHz band of i9000T.
In matters of warranty, I guess to make this update "unofficial" by Movistar, would lose the warranty (My galaxy only has 2 weeks of purchase and I am a newbie / noob on Android ). If I upgraded to Gingerbread KIES patching the registry, there is some way to get back to original froyo of Movistar? if I have a problem that requires the use of warranty.
Thanks in advance
Nobody can help me?

Ok there are plenty of guides around here but I'll try to help you....
1) Root your device
2) Download Rom Manager from Market and install a recovery from there
3) Do a Nandroid Backup from recovery
4) Make a copy of such backup on your pc
5) Install your firmware
You should not have any problems going back to stock if needed

I have a SGH-T849 Tmobile Galaxy Tab, I stupidly tried to use Heimdall and a recovery zimage file from a old post about flashing clockwork mod recovery on my tab. Needless to say my tab is now stuck at Tmobile Screen. I have searched EVERYWHERE for a non dead link for a stock TMOBILE Froyo 2.2 factory rom. I can get into Download mode and Odin recognizes it. Samsung Kies does not connect. If anybody has the stock 2.2 Tmo rom, I would be forever greatful. I would flash other roms but I dont want to loose my 3G and it is also unlocked.
Thanks
Don't need stock rom.
Follow overcome method.
Overcome new links.
Download the guide first.
