Hi All,
Please help me if there is a way to restore my Contacts.
I've tried the leaked version of ICeCReam and after upgrading all my contacts lost.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance
Did you exported your contacts as vcf-file before you flashed ICS or have you made any other backup of your contacts?
Hi Tom,
That is my fault, i've never backup my contacts..
Is there any other way to restore it?
If you diidn't made a backup or synced your contacts with your google account then there is no way to restore them.
Hi TOM, thanks a lot for the response!
In the future, do backup before uploading rom, such as Titanium Backup from android market

Hey guyz.
I have made a rom upgrade to the new v3 dutty, I'm really happy with it, although I forgot that I wont be able to restore the backup + my conacts gonna go missing. I do have a backup from my phone, what do you think, is there any way to actually restore or somehow get out my contacts from that backup?
I'm with tmobile uk, that was the original rom.
Thanks a lot.
Might be better to restore the original rom, restore the backup and then use a pim backup to backup just the contacts.
i c. any idea where could i get the original tmobile rom???
many thanks
You'll have to do a search on that one if you didn't do a dump or your ROM prior to flashing another ROM.
Didnt you sync your contacts with your PC (with Outlook)?
No, I dont use outlook, so i dont have a sync. I tried to backup explorer from sprite, although I couldnt find the contact file - where it is stored. I wouldnt mind to put back the original tmobile rom, although I couldnt find it anywhere. Please all tmobile uk users if you could post your rom here, it would be nice, or u guyz know a link...
THanks
try Here for the ROM
Hope it helps!
Hey all,
I wanted to try one of the 2.2 ROMs floating out about there (and I actually did). With the 2.1 ROMs, it was pretty easy to sync my contacts, calendar, etc with Kies. However, when I tried a 2.2 ROM, the only Kies option was for a firmware update and it wouldn't do anything else.
I did a search and didn't come up with anything. Anyone have an idea for how I can sync the contact so I can have them back when I go to 2.2. I didn't like the idea of not having my contacts, etc, and restoring from Titanium backup didn't work. I wasn't going to enter them all again manually.
Thanks in advance,
Super

You can go back to stock and restore your backup presuming you have one. Then go to contacts, click export which makes a file on your sd, click import then select google as to where you want to import. Then when you go to 2.2 log into your google account and your contacts will sync with googles
Not sure if this is what you were looking for. Hope this helps
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
That will work well enough to give this a try. Thanks!
[Q] Lost Google account->OneCosmics ICS and Nandroiding back? Cannot see in accounts?
Hi guys,
I have been on OneCosmic's ICS RC1 RC2 and RC2.11
I noticed that I couldn't access Google Market and Gmail etc. I have my phone fully set up and running correctly but I noticed that the google account is not there anymore? I believe this might be because I went back to RC1 in CWM to do a backup of some SMS and contacts and then reflashed to RC2.11?
Is there anyway I can log back in to my google account on RC 2.11 without doing a full wipe?
Or is there anyway I can restore data from my now established RC2.11 from a Nandroid backup after flashing from scratch CM7-> RC1->RC2.11-> Restore data?
I think when I do this I loose my Google account again
NOT HAPPY JAN!
Yeah anyway any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to leave the phone as with all my contacts and SMS/MMS and be able to configure the Google account to activate or log in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks
James
Jeeeze people are not fast to answer here are they haha. Ok thought I would post up to give an answer to my own question in case someone searches for the same thing.
Basically I did a latest nandroid. Then I did a full wipe and format of system and flashed from CM7 stock to RC2.11 then I booted up and logged in as per normal and retained my google account. I restored data ONLY (advanced restore) of the last Nandroid I did and I managed to keep my google account this time? I had a **** time trying to get RC2.11 to log USB to the PC so I shifted over to MyUI 2.5 and changed/tweaked a few things as well...flashed that and it fixed the issue I had with the USB not reading via PC.
Regards
James

No way to recover it bro. Sadly. Always backup your things first.
The same thing happened to me today. I will install an app to backup my sms automatically from now on:crying:
Hello, i've updated my SGS from a GB JVT ROM to CM 10.1 but i lost all my contacts.
The thing is I have synced those contacts on the old configuration to google before update.
It said all synced ok... i i didn't even bother to check if those contacts really gone to google or not.
After finishing the update, surprise, there are no contacts on my Google account.
Where they gone? Is there any way to recover them?
i'm sure you have a backup (nandroid)
No, unfortunately i did not made a nandroid backup
