No, I am anti-Apple.
What I mean is working on Froyo for Milestone is futile because locked bootloader prevents Us from loading it to our devices.
Such work is in my opinion pointless until someone develops a method to overgo bootloader defences.
Ya, if we can get through with the bootloader i think we will be able to use the droid ROM

I would actually like to know this as well.
I think thats just files installed over a 2.1 kernel/sbf which has been modded. But froyo is a different firmware all together. I know dexter said it was a z image from zeus droid, left over from the port done there for droid. Its also meant to be taken off the wwe latest version for htc desire. Good work overall, but i still want froyo i need apps2sd working on 2.1 still ain't got it down yet, without wiping or loosing the lot. Add apps on sd card from 2.2 and also the adobe flash, and it will be a brilliant device!
I still feel very dissapointed about the locked boot loader as i really would like to have custom roms comming from the winmo scene previously.

The latest market has this issue with telling me apps aren't compatible with my device, and it just decided Facebook is no longer compatible. I removed it and went to download it again but it won't let me.

Yeah, Yahoo Fantasy Football says its not compatible as well. I've been seeing it lately out of no where. It's really frustrating.
Are you guys using density changer? I read in another thread that it will cause the not compatible issue.

Yes I am. I changed it back to normal for a day and got the same results. Should I of waited longer?
I do mine manually through build.prop but yes, I do change it.

That was it. Reset to 240 (N1 default), cleared all cache from Market 3.1.3, basically running it for the first time, and I had 18 updates available. Thanks for the advise!!
I didn't have any issue with the update for Facebook at all.

i did a search through these Roms , but i couldn't find any differences except the framework.odex file,
two files are updated CallLog$Calls.smali and EccTable.smali on framewrok.odex!! i think the updated files are relative to emergency numbers, like 110,119,125,118......etc.
really they kidding us?
anyone find anything else?

everybody knows about the update definition , its not needs to describe the update's meaning for us.
some developers were talked about the huge changes!! my purpose was about the information.
I also think this way like nazari. Just updated to JVZ and the sgs flys, so f*ckin fluid and fast. And on day afterwards I see O.O WTF? JW1.
And now I wonder if I really should update, because I dont know the differences between the firmwares.
So, now I know a bit, whats going on and have to say thank you
One reason to stay on my superfluid JVZ, works really awesome with Tw4.5 + sgs2 widgets and ICS live wallpaper.

I want to port some features which the Galaxy doesnt have.
So download the Nexus 4 stock image and use that in your kitchen along side the GNex one
Well then why not grab the Nexus 4 system image from Google?

Maybe you should fix that. Have you used the kitchen before? If you don't have java configured properly you're just going to have tons of trouble trying to do any deving in the future.
Also, why are you trying to port to the Gnex from the N4? 4.2 OTA already rolled out to Gnex, everything from N4 should be there, except code specific to the device, like driver binaries and wireless charging support.

This. the only difference i noticed is HDR, which the hardware of the GN dosent support anyway.
The Launcher is different, HDR maybe? and idk what else.. but in the past I had ported roms (ics for s2) but that account got banned for no reason.
Cygwin was working in Windows 7 but when i upgraded to 8 pro it stopped working. ill try to fix it.

And i'd like to have Chrome instead of the browser, anyways ill just port it.
Wallpapers are separate to the launcher, and Chrome is obviously available from the Play Store.

I am on a rom i flashed from here that doesnt include googler caller id due to proprietary reasons, which is understandable, so i was wondering if anyone could point me to the right direction to finding a way to install this on my nex6. I googled and seen kit kat links only and ports. A reply or PM would be fine. Im not sure if this is considered "piracy" if so please delete. I just want to use a feature that came with my phone, thats it

I am pretty sure it is part of the dialer itself. I don't have a solution just a little insight.

Yep. Maybe some can rip the dialer.. IDK if its as simple as moving the stock APK over or not.
