There is a limit to the size of mms videos. Not sure what the limit is, but HD quality is not going to go through.
Then I honestly see no point to hd videos if all you can do is email them I figured there might be a app to allow it

Little info:
10 sec file at: List of edit option built in to Bionic.
QCIF 176x100 for resizing about 500K
CIF 352x288 for recording
QVGA 320x240 recording, 320x180(resizing from HD) is about 750k
VGA 640x360(from HD) is about 2.5MB
VGA for recording 640x480
DVD 720x480 for record
HD 720p 1280x720 is about 12MB
HD+ 1080p 1920x1080 is about 18MB
Most carriers allow 300k to 1MB for MMS, Hancent advertises over 1MB MMS on their network. They just send a link for downloading.
Recommend try out Box.net, Dropbox, or other built in Bionic settings.
Do a quick upload and from there you can share the link from your texting app with Dropbox. Box.net only offers link to share from email app. I uploaded the 20mb file to both.
Bionic also can be setup to quick upload to Flickr (yahoo account), photobucket, Picasa (Google acct) and Youtube.
Yeah just tried to send videos to mom I just dowloaded a emsil to text app worked fine just a pain

Anyone figured out how to do cross-platform video chatting with the DS7? I know qik just updated their app so it works for us now, but I really want to be able to chat with my wife who only has a laptop. Wifi is fine.
Also, does google support video chat with the DS7?

Oovoo sucks for the streak it doesnt allow you to use the front facing cam...
Have u tried fring, not sure if it will work.

fring, qik, skype: nope.
oovoo: it's not video chat unless you can see the video while you're chatting.
anyone have any other ideas? I assume that this will be possible in honeycomb. Anyone have any idea how long that will take? Gah. Not impressed with this thing so far.

I used Google Talk to video chat with my girlfriend. She was signed into her gmail (I believe a plugin is needed to add video chat to gmail) on her laptop and I was on my Bionic. Worked great except the camera on her laptop sucks in low light areas.
The only two I use is vtok and Google talk... they both work and vtok is cross platform
I saw that one too. I will try it out.

I got it from here .http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16889575&postcount=1262
In settings Enable Video Calling
Then in the Advanced Settings Check Use valid preview surface and I checked Autostart on boot.
Thank you! Works perfectly!

I agree! Worked great! It does like to run in the background, some force closes during multi-tasking and doesn't have pop up notifications. But the video works fine.
Well, this is actually my first Android Phone, I've only used a Android Tablet before and my tablet had a YouTube App with an HD, not a HQ, function.
So my Question: Is there a YouTube HD App for android 2.3.5/6?
HQ kinda sucks on the note screen.
why use an app when you have a browser? just go on youtube.com, choose your video and choose the resolution for it there.

For some reason the newer version of the YouTube app does not offer the HQ option...so you will have to go back to the 2.1.6 version...
Find a jetvd apk, it's no longer in the android market, you can choose hd there and stream through your video player in hd (you can also use it to download youtube vids in hd) . HQ on the official app is only 480p no HD option so far. I also would be interested in hearing about any other apps that can stream HD youtube vids.

This is awesome, not a complete replacement for the youtube app but better than nothing and still a bit more comfortable than the browser
Jetvd gets to available options screen, I touch the thumbnail and nothing happens. I set a download folder and Im on wifi. So far jetvd sucks. J/k just cant get it to work.
Try Tubemate from the App Store. Dunno if its full HD but choosing the highest setting looks pretty cool on the Note, way better than the YouTube app. Being able to download vids is a nice bonus.

Guess I was referring to HQ. Tried I screenshot and the video didn't show for some reason. Shame because it was a good one

tubemate is good, it lets you download or stream in any resolution available for the video. I prefer to download the videos in 720p or 1080P and play back that way if I want to watch it again I keep it saving future bandwidth and it looks much better then HQ in the yt app which is probably only 480P.
You can view yt in browser in desktop mode and select resolution but going full screen generally is a pain and doesn't look as good as a 720P or higher download in tubemate. Best to get tubemate from the official site tubemate.net as there are dodgy versions around even been some bad infected ones on market apparently according to the aps developer.
I was wondering if anyone know how to open all the pictures from my phone in the video app. I went to camp recently and i used my canon dslr to take pictures. For some odd reason, i can only see the pictures when i use the photoviewer app but not in the video editing app. Any suggestions? The picture format that was used is jpg.

Am having trouble texting compressed videos with the default.camera app. Any video over 5 seconds is very distorted
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk 2
That is a limitation of sending videos via text/mms. Depending on the size of the video, you will have better luck emailing or uploading the video to Google Drive, then sending the intended recipient a link to download it. If under 20MB, then email will work, but will be slow to send. If you have a google account, which you do, Google Drive is free.
Trying!
