both processor and ram is same, but some architecture is different like board, if you try, i think maybe you will get bootloop or stuck at booting,
Ok. I think u r right, but I wanna try it once. Is it safe to try it if I have cwm recovery on my phone?
(Imean have backuped all data, so can I recover if it gets stuck in any kinda boot loop?)

Review for OC Kernel :
Using CM7.1-09102011 by tj_style
First I flashed the 806MHz OC kernel and used SetCPU, 748 Max with OnDemand. No complaints.
Then I flashed smartboot kernel. Using SetCPU : Max 753 + SmartAssV2 and it was smooth. Started using SavagedZen, and got random freeze. Most likely it's due to different config between the OC kernel and CM7.
PS : Tweetdeck and foursquare ran perfectly.
Using CM7.1.0 build 01102011 modded by squadzone
So I eventually downloaded squadzone's CM7 build, and installed smart15 OC kernel. Got a few problem in SuperUser and A2SD after doing some tweaking, so I gave up tweaking and only replace the fonts with the ones from tj_style's CM7.
I'm using NoFrills, 753 Max, SavagedZen and VR. I used the my handphone in the office (voice calls, SMS, YM, Google Talk using IMO, browsing --- making sure that screen brightness set as low as possible and stick to 2G all the time). Battery life was good, it's been 14h 12m and I still got 13 percent left. But during 8pm I was unable to access contacts (error in android system) and I suspect it's due to VR scheduler. Rebooted and got stuck on Android logo, so I went to CWM and clear cache and voila it rebooted. I switched to SIO scheduler and it's been good since.
Btw, can not install / restore Tweetdeck nor Foursquare on squadzone's CM7. And since it's based on 01102011 build, there's no 16 bit transparency option on CM7 settings.
Conclusion
Smart15 OC Kernel worked well I tested on Quadrant using performance governor and VR scheduler, and I scored 2,100 . I can't wait to try the UV kernel
For Squadzone :
Job well done buddy !
Just wanna add one thing : You don't need to install Move2SD Enabler on CM7. Go to CM7 settings --> Application settings --> Chek on Allow application moving and set Install Location to external. I prefer to set Install location to internal since I'm using A2SD, and if you set install location to external then some portion of the apps will be placed in /sdcard/.android_secure (FAT partition on SD Card). This mean if you activated USB Connection, your FAT partition will be unmounted and any apps stored in /sdcard/.android_secure will be deactivated.
For more options on customization, you could try ROM Toolbox v4 from JRummy (available in Market). Lots of options there
Update
Just flashed UV kernel. Stuck on Android bootscreen, so I wiped cache and now it booted, and it took a while until my ADW launcher showed all apps (around 120). I'm using SavagedZen with SIO. Don't know where to look for voltage info though.
Oh well, my device finally went off after 14h 40m daily use with no charging

You can't compare both man. They are completely different scripts...
V6 - is a memory management script. It fixes LMK and OOM values so that apps don't run in background. Soon ultimately this may increase the overall battery.
Slaid - its a better script as it has many different features like smoothness, lag fix, battery tweaks, fast boot, etc. So if u want overall increase in performance... Go for this.
Adrenaline shot - similar to slaid but with some changes in code. Its here in dev section if not, go to Ace dev section and ask the Guy who wrote this to make changes for our mini.
Hope it helped you

has anyone tried to use slaidy boost with CM 7.2 RC 5.7?
should i delete previous default script before flashing it?
Hi everybody!
I've compiled a script with a few tweaks based on knzo post
This works on CM7, should work on stock also!
I've also added to the script a few lines to change the IO Scheduler and governor. You just have to edit the attachment (unzip it first ) and remove the "#" before the line you want to apply (I've just add the lines depending if you have CM7's stock kernel or huexxx kernel, but you can edit for any kernel, you just have to edit for the governor/io schedulers available or just leave that lines commented).
# change Governor
# Huexxx's kernel
# echo interactivex > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor;
# change IO Scheduler
# CM7's kernel
# echo "noop" > /sys/block/mmcblk0/queue/scheduler;
# Huexxx's kernel
# echo "sio" > /sys/block/mmcblk0/queue/scheduler;
.....
After this, do this steps:
1 - Install SManager
2 - Open SManager and go to the script, I put it in /data/script
3 - Single click the script "74diogo" and check "Su" and "Boot" and then save.
4 - Just reboot.
Note: It could take a minute or two to change the governor in Cyanogenmod settings.
That is it!
Feel free to leave to give your feedback
By the way... When I changed the default governor via CM settings and applied at boot, the phone becomes very slow in the first minute after boot...
Changing the governor with this script, that slow performance disappears
Also, you can activate JIT, use 16 bit transparency and disable scrolling cache (force disable) for a little speed and smooth...
I get a lot of not found errors is that normal? And also a lot of permission denied.

Yeah. You should choose the option "boot" and "su" and reboot. The settings will apply.
You can't change some values while the system is running... that is why there are those errors.
Thank you for your help. I get it now. But can we use a other scripts like v6supercharger and should we expect any improvements from them if we already have this script?

It should work. I don't see why not
Did you notice any difference using my script?
I did actually, Cm7 was already pretty smooth but at boot up after the script manager gets root permission it loads a lot faster than before, by this I mean that the starting lag lasts a lot less. As for general use it works great but it also worked great before so I can't really tell. I noticed an improved battery performance too.
So all in all it's great

Just have to edit (or don't use) the lines to change the governor and IO scheduler.
To edit, just put the name of the desired (and available) governor and IO Scheduler
Hi guys!
I've been trying different kernel and roms at this time, I've been surprised with several of them greatly, but I've always liked my way of setting the cpu frequencies, governor, further reduce the brightness ... etc all WITHOUT USING ANY EXTERNAL APP that consume my internal memory and are constantly running in the background.
Well if you are one of those who leave permanently on your cpu frequency and like to save as much of your battery it will be very useful.
When I tested the Battery Extender 1.5.1 kernel I noticed that every time I restarted my device, the maximum clock frequency was changed to 902 Mhz and I needed tools to control this frequency (as no-frills or set-cpu)... Right, this is the end with the following tweaks, so forget No-Frills and Set-cpu!:
These changes will be adjusted every time you boot the system
Viper The Ripper Tweaks to save battery
What I have changed?
Power off menu and back buttons
Reduced the brightness to maximum
Changed the frequency when the device starts to 245-787 Mhz
Changed the Governor when the device starts to Conservative (I prefer this Governor to save battery)
Working on: CF-Root, BatteryExtender, SpaceKernel, nims11 kernel
Extreme Version
Power off menu and back buttons
Reduced the brightness to maximum
Changed the frequency when the device starts to 245-614 Mhz
Changed the Governor when the device starts to Conservative (I prefer this Governor to save battery)
Working on: BatteryExtender 1.5.1 and up, it should works in SpaceKernel too
CM Versions
Power off menu and back buttons
How to install it?
1. Put the attached file into your sdcard
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Install from sdcard
4. Flash it
5. Reboot
6. Enjoy
Hellyeah!

did you use setCpu for cpu settings?

I'm sure, in my opinion using no-frills or similar apps (sertCpu), you increase the RAM usage with background processes, so your battery will drain faster, anyway you don't need any app to set your cpu frequencies
Updated!
Extreme Versions are here!
Working on: BE 1.5.1 and up, it should works in SpaceKernel too
Updated!
POWER OFF BUTONS in CM7/9/10.x.... it's PERMANENT!
Tested in CM7.2 (The Ultimatum Rom and Revolution X) it should work in CM9/10.x too

Yes, but now it's a bit late. Tomorrow I'll try to provide you a flashable tweak

Yes, but now it's a bit late. Tomorrow I'll try to provide you a flashable tweak
But currently you can use the Terminal Emulator to get it just type this lines:
Code:
su
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness
chmod 444 /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightne
When you reboot your device the button will power on again so type it after rebooting your phone, but I'll provide you a permanent solution asap

I did Install ZIP from SDCard, it says tweaks added no error or anything, I rebooted but no changes were applied.
I retried it again and seems like it worked.

I Glad it will work ..It should work but, even I asked to Mardon, the SuperSu can block su request during boot, so it could be the problem, use cmsuperuser variant if you face any problem
Mardon's answer:
Which variant? Supersu or cm superuser?
SuperSu now can block su requests during boot init if wrong configured in supersu.

But I see the problem is solved, thank you so much for reporting it
No problem, I installed Universal Init.d from the PlayStore. Then closed phone and retried the zip and it worked. I don't know if its has anything to do with that but its working you can add it to the first page! =)

Hey xda-community .
I'm new in rooting and have some questions ^^.
I have a S Advance i9070 (with JellyMod4) and want to know your experiences with the v6supercharger and cocore8.
Btw: is setcpu needed or is the script and cocore doing all it self ?
(And did someone got the aosp browser from 4.3 on the i9070 to work ?)

I advice to you to flash harsh jelly 3.0 with cocore. Performance are awesome
You have to use set cpu or nofrills when you want to change the governors and I/O scheduler, if not, don't use them
For the browser..I think not

I remind to read somewhere that it is only possible to change the frequences with adb or terminal. Is this true or is it possible to change it with apps like setcpu (or no-frills) ?
And what does the harshjelly tweaker do ?
(How to understand tweaks ? :/)
Thank you for the answers

Yes with set cpu you can only change gov and io and I prefer using pegasusq and sio as scheduler.
Harsh tweaker is an app that has some tweaks like disable or enable the crt effect, to enable or disable cache scrolling, enable logging, enable 360º rotation, enable the long press to kill and other tweaking
There is always in harsh jelly a command that you can write in the terminal emulator (typing harsh_controls) that can do some very useful things like zipalingn all the apps, vacuum and reindex you databases (it makes your phone less 'dirty' and so it makes the acces in the databases faster) ,enable or disable fsync (fsync off can improve performance but you ll have data loss if power goes out suddently, recomend to turn it on) and other little commands
Mr.harsh has done a very great work making this rom! Let's try it
Press thanks botton if i helped you:beer:

Good to know that this is possible too ;D. Are in the i9070 forum some scripts or have i to make them myself ? And do someone use the v6 supercharger script ?

use the below script to
#to change the scheduler
echo "sio" > /sys/block/mmcblk0/queue/scheduler
#to change the governor
echo "ondemandq" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
don't use windows text editor like text pad.. insted use use notepad++ and the file should have no extension.
Create a new folder named 'init.d' in /system/etc
then push the file using a root explorere to the folder
Set the permission of init.d foler and the script file to 0777(rwxrwxrwx)
u can also search the forum for other commands which can be used to tweak the governor like the scaling frequency and other stuff
