Full Brick(HARD BRICK) with rom manager - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hello!
I have a problem ... my phone is "full brick" and do not know what to do!
Can someone help? Nimic.Nu not react to it can put in download mode or PC to detect it.
Can someone help?
Thanks in advance!

what do you mean by full brick?? is it going into recovery mode by pressing power and home key or into download mode by pressing home, volume down and power key??

I tried, but does not react at all
My phone is HARD BRICK!

Rom manager is bull**** and could brooke your phone 4ever! All you can try but the battery out for a while and then try to bring it in download mode! Press vol down menu and powerbutton and hold it till download sign shows! If it does conect to pc and flash new version thru odin! If not then your mini is death bring it to the service and hope!!
Swyped from my GT-S5570L using xda app

or just remove the battery for 30 second then press home+volume down+power and then put the battery.

Don't work

Dont ever touch rom manager...is useless...now what u can do is bring to service center..i hope its still warranty...
Sent from telephone coin..

Even I did the same mistake of using that cursed god damn app. I tried everything possible. Nothing worked.
By gods grace phone was under warranty, I gave my phone to the service center. Got my phone back after a week . They said they had changed mother board. They dint charge me a penny. I suggest you too give it to samsung service center. If they ask you anything, act all innocent Good Luck.

I ve been in the same situation when i was trying to save stl5 to find the unlock code. I found the code, but the phone wouldn t boot. I used odin to write wrong files on phone to make it not even start, so they could not blame me for bricking, then I sent it for repair on warranty.
After a week, they did it, telling me they changed motherboard. BUT when I typed the code I found before bricking IT WORKED. How is that possible?

This should be a lesson for you and as a caution for those lazy people
whos planning to update through wifi or data connection using this app..
Im lucky id take the warning from our pinoy android community
not to use that app. Bless them.

Yes,this is a lesson how to unlock a phone without paying a cent. I am having now an unlocked phone. Bless xda forum.

Yeah dude, i was gonna say that, bless XDA. Specially all the rom devs and their team.

What you need to do is take the battery out the phone, plug it in to the computer, then hold the buttons to put the phone into download mode (forgot what they are lol) and then, while still holding the buttons, put the battery in and keep holding the buttons, that SHOULD put the phone in download mode. Worked for me anyway!

Best you can do is hold still your phone along with the warranty card and go to the nearest samsung service center and go to a quite place and pray some

my brick has also tried everything you guys maybe to work with usb jig 300k resistor goes into the so (way amr dll) only black screen

yea take out the battery and press home+power+vol. down button and put back your battery. see if this works
if not !!
well a trip to samsung centre will help you out but be sure to act all decent and yeah dumb too so the samsung centre people may not smell a clue that you tried to flash your phone with custom rom. ^_^

[Q] Closed OneClick Downloader while it was working...

Dumbass me did exactly as the title says. Now the phone won't do jack, won't even go into download, don't see a bootscreen, just stays black and off. Tried all the button combos and ****. Am I ****ed? I'm still under warranty. What do I need to do? Do I need to get a JIG or will that not do?
Did u try pulling the the battery, opening the one click, plugging usb in then holding volume up and down only (no power button) then putting battery in. should go straight into download. If not that I would look into a jig. Captivates are pretty hard to permanently brick. The guys here on xda are pretty awesome. Helped me out of more than one hair losing situation

First please watch the swearing in The threads. Second if you can't get into dl mode by the method above then a jig may be your only hope. There are videos that will show you how to make one or how to order a pre made one. A search will get you where you need to be.

Yes, I'm not a noob, I said I tried all the button combos, how else do you think I even got OneClick to work on my phone in the first place... Doesn't go into download mode.
don't get smart with someone trying to help you...if you knew completely what you were doing you would have NEVER closed odin while it was flashing...just sayin.
my guess is you closed it while it was flashing bootloaders and its now bricked and nothing short of jtagging it or a warranty replacement will get you a working phone. next time wait until its done before you touch anything
JIG did the trick.
And don't be a smartass yourself, I screwed up, I said that, Mr. I'm-so-perfect-I-never-screw-up. I don't know what you do for a living, maybe you can go play Xbox with your friends from school while your phone is restoring, but I need to be able to use my computer for business at all times.

Dude, you need to relax. There are disclaimers all over the place. We do this because it is a pass-time for us as well as a hobby. By no means does anyone have to come in here and bow to your demands or be berated by you because you are frustrated at a problem with your phone. Use of the search function would have yielded the answers you so douchebaggedly demanded.
Using your computer for more than one task is possible. Run Odin all you want but this "windows" or other operating system you may run has this nifty ability to more than one thing at once.
... it's like watching a guy holding a hornet's nest and saying, "I don't care what you say, I'm punting this thing and that's that!".

[Q] So upset, just bricked my 2 day old P1010.

Hey guys,
I'm really starting to think that my Tab is well and truly uber bricked. I tried (stupidly) to update it to gingerbread stock forgetting the flooping fact that the P1010 differs hugely to the P1000.
It was so weird, I got no error messages from Odin everything looked like it was going well, until I tried to get the device into download mode again. It won't turn on, I can't access recovery or download mode. It does try to come on when doing button combos but just shows a black/blank screen and turns off again as soon as power button is released. No icons or logos.
Another thing is that when off it flashes the creen every 10-15 seconds. Not sure what to try as battery will be running low by now and scared to let it go flat.
Anybody else got this, I feel like a right twat, don't even wanna know how much samsung will charge for repairing this.
If anyone has any more button combos to try please feel free to tell. I'm pretty deperate.

Actually, that's the call...just return it and play dumb.
I forget the part that it was just a couple days.
I disagree with that advice. I hate dishonest people.
Just tell them the truth and see if theyvreplace it. What's the worst that can happen? They don't send you a new one. You won't be any worse off than you are now. Its worth a try.

the best drama ever you can do
1- go and do not smile , chicken ..
2- be shocked all the time during you are talking and blame them
3- say , how come i sleep than i woke take out my tab from the charger i couldn't turn it on . is this can happen because of the ELEC ? ? Act like stupid ,
they will ask you did you try to update it via kies , say how i update ? ? ? after u say this , trust me , you'll get your tab in 3-5 work days
Wow, lots of dishonest people here. Use the de-bricking service, pay for YOUR mistakes, and chalk it up to a valuable lesson to read and pay attention to what you're doing in the future.
Just something i did when i thought my tab was bricked. I turned it on even though it wouldnt show anything on the screen. I then let the battery drain, next day I plugged it in and pwered it on, it worked.... is there any type of mode that you can get into?

This is what I'm saying. Contact the guy from above and see if he can help you. You may pay for it, but some mistakes cost you money. If that doesn't work for you, then you're out $350 because of a mistake you made. If paying $350 for a mistake you made is the worse you end up paying in line, you're better off than most.

you didn't 'forget'... you didn't know. just nitpicking
I also support the return-it route. once it's back at samsung they can easily re-flash it to their proper software and sell it as a refurb.
I made your mistake today and I got the errors you've gotten ..
what did you do with your device , have you find a solution for it ?
I did this years back on the very first phone I flashed, a Sony 750i which I was trying to flash to 800i software. It usually would have worked as its same hardware but unfortunatley for me they had recently changed bootloader or something that made mine incompatible.
Since it was only a couple of days old from Orange shop I simply took it back to shop and played dumb, said I left it charging over night and now all I get is a white screen. At first they wanted to sent it off for repair and I kicked off because I didnt want to pay all that money for a faulty/repaired product, I kicked up a bit of stink in front of other potential customers and manager decided to give me full replacement.
Now I know that isnt honest but I meh I dont give a sh1t, Its not as if they would have had to pay for it, it would have simply got back to manufacturer.
If you have a new device and dont want to shell out a load of money or wait weeks/months just take it back and play dumb and if they refuse ask to speak to manager and kick off.
I PM'd you the details mate.
Same mistake here
Hi!
I know this is an old post, but this just happened to me today.
Just like you, i flashed a P1000 ROM to my P1010 galaxy tab.
The process went perfectly with no errors nor warnings in ODIN. When it tried to reboot, a black screen came up. The symptoms are the same you had. Black screen, no image of any kind, no possibility to put it in download nor recovery mode.
When i press the power button for about 5 seconds, backlight coms up, but still a black screen. When i let the power button go, the backlight goes out and the screen keeps black.
Could you please tell me how you solved this?
Thank you VERY much!

Try the same thing (Power +Volume down 5 seconds), but plug your tab to your PC before doing it and see if ODIN can pick it up. If odin can pick up your tab, flash the right ROM.
I think if black screen and then buttons lights up briefly when you touch, you somehow need to force it down first.
Try holding power button for at least 10 seconds to bring it down completely.
when it then doesn't response to touch, then do what yappoe said.
Hope your battery hasn't been drained by now.
I already tried both of the solutions you propose. I really appreciate that.
The screen keeps black, but the lights of the buttons doesn't turn on. Not even briefly.
I followed a guide that says i should tape the power button to keep the backlight on the entire night until the battery drains, so i can get out from an infinite loop. Then to plug the tab in the wall charger and the battery logo shoud appear. Then try to turn it on in download mode.
I did all that. Battery drained out, but at the moment of plugging the tab at the wall, it does not show the battery indicator. Screen is still black. No backlight, no nothing.
Do you think a JIG could work? any other ideas? it's kind of dead!
Sorry for my english and thanks again.
I don't know.. but you should assume it is still charging. Leave it for more than 4hr charging then try yappoe suggestion.
If all fails, then repair.
Next time only flash rom made for your device...

I'm in deep trouble please help..

I was running leaked version of UCKF1 2.3.3 then I found this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1281221&page=1 so tried to flash it. I got an error of failing to upgrade and phone couldn't boot up. Then I tried heimdall one click unbricker and it worked. Then I decided to flash to stock and after odin said PASS the phone just died. It can't turn on.. no boot screen no nothing. I can't see anything moving or lighting on the phone. please help me recover the phone
It won't respond to any combos like "vol up + vol down + USB" or any others..
Search for Adam Outler's "Am I bricked?" Thread. Help you figure out where you are.
Did you you use 3 button fix jf6? If ya did you hard bricked.
Thanks for replies.
I'm hard bricked and as I get it the only solution is JTAG which is quite expensive and I'll have to send my phone to someone
Isn't there any other solutions? please help me..
Check out the UnBrickableMOD in the DEV section if sending the phone somewhere is not an option. High skill is still required but it's a good alternative if you know someone who is skilled with soldering.
I don't want to open my phone myself so I guess I'll have to send it to someone anyway.. If I use JTAG will my data be saved?
Don't pay for Jtag. Pay for Unbrickable mod. Easier to do AND you are for ever free of hard brcks.

The Linux/Ubuntu part isn't hard. Go to Ubuntu site, downloads, option 3 which is the wubi installer. If you get the windows no disc error, just keep clicking continue until the installer starts.
Thanks all.. I knew from the start of the thread that I had it hard bricked coz I have flashed all of the roms out there and soft bricked many times and fixed, so I have some experience in this.
The part I don't understand is that after I tried to flash to stock it died after that.. quite odd.. I think I'll go for unbrickable after all.. but in Georgia, where I live it's gonna be a pain to find someone able to do this neatly..
Thanks for all your support..
You can send it to adam (one of the people that worked on that) or Connexion (mobiletechvideos.com) Cost you some though.
It may just be a black screen brick, not a hard brick. Pull the battery, wait 2 minutes, replace battery. Use a jig, let it stay plugged in about 30 seconds. Hook up to Odin and see if it lights a com box. If it does, you can flash stock. If it doesn't, time to send it off. Last I heard, jtag was only about $50. Shipping I don't know about.
Of course I had tried pulling the battery and all the stuff that can be done to maintain the phone.. shipping is +20$ for international and add it the cost of shipping from here to USA.. helluva sum.. it goes like 100$.. so I left off my phone in the local "Samsung" service center. I doubt they can even handle it but at least I won't have to pay if they can't.. if they can though it'll cost around 40$ as they said. So wish me luck I guess..
UPDATE!
Hey all.. I just got my captivate from the samsung service center and it's working quite well thanks for your effort

[Q] Data from broken phone

Unfortunately my I9000 fell on the floor a few weeks a go and repairing it is not an option. I'm planning to buy a new phone (S3) and try to sell my good old SGS. Now here is my question.
As my screen is broken, I cannot access my phone anymore. I cannot connect it to my pc. But i still have data on the phone I need to erase before I sell it. Is there an option that anyone knows that I can do this. My main concern is that my creditcard number is in the phone (google play) and I don't know if I haven't set my pin to 0000.
Anyone who can help?

Samsung Galaxy S3 suddenly dies and won't turn on even after battery removal

The phone was plugged in to my computer (I was doing development) and was running all the time. Suddenly, while I was not doing development or doing anything, the phone died and I have have never been able to turn it on again.
I've tried:
Hold the Power button
Hold both Power and Volume down button
Take out the battery and put it in again
Replace the batter with another one from my friends' working-perfectly-fine Galaxy S3
The result is the same: no response from the phone at all - it's completely cold, no sound, light or vibration at all - all I've seen is the blank unchanged screen so please don't ask me about the start up screen
What can I do?
*Notes: I've read this thread but my warranty has ran out so bringing it to Samsung is not really the best option.

If you are going to replacet the motherboard and use the same phone, your data should still be there.
If you are going to use a new phone, you have to take out the hard drive and connect to it to get the data from there.
There is no hard drive in the Galaxy S3, just an eMMC flash chip soldered to the motherboard.

Are you sure all people on this forum are developers? Also, just what kind of developers?
Again, my answer could be wrong but how can it cause problem for others?
Let's break it down:
I said data should not be lost after motherboard replacement
There is no action required here so how can it lead to anything harmful?
Last time I checked, the data in my S3 was still there after its motherboard was replace
Taking out the hard drive from the phone was the part I wasn't sure
As of now, I can see that it's apparently wrong as someone pointed out
However, if there is no hard drive ==> how can one take it out ==> how can one damage anything?
How can I be responsible for anything here?
What do say now Mr. smart developer?
Please provide something concrete and convincing.
Don't waste your time, don't waste mine
After checking my hard brick phone by a bestbuy technical, i was told my phone was totally dead. The phone wouldnt connect to PC, can't do power charge, no any response even the jig method. And the data is gone. However, I am not sure how the data backup works. maybe they just don't wanna do it or their lack of doing it.
Normally, the data recovery from damaged hardware is expensive. cause it need plenty of time and they probably think the customer wouldn't pay for that.
Directly replace a motherboard could cost less than repair it. In some cases, could even replace a new phone cost less than a new motherboard. Technically, backup data from hard brick phone could be possible.

Similar problem with my Samsung Galaxy S3. Mine turned off randomly and wouldn't turn on again for half a day each time. The last time it happened it wouldn't turn on for a day, so I tried the DOWNLOAD MODE combination, cancelled it, got prompted to RESTART PHONE then it turned on again.
I took in my phone directly to Samsung Customer Service in Albany, Auckland (for New Zealand people). They found that the "current was not stable" and all they had to do was replace the mainboard. It only took them half a day to repair and it was covered by warranty. He said the cost of the mainboard, outside of warranty, would cost around NZD $260.
Replacing mainboard shouldn't affect your memory but it is always best to back up your phone via Samsung Kies (or something similar) before taking it in for repair. According to the Samsung guy, in New Zealand, they are not legally allowed to back up a customer's data on any of their computers, but there is no harm in asking them if you trust them to do so.
Hope this helps

Replacing the main board replaces all data except the External SD-Card, as the EMMC is built onto the motherboard, they can always backup the /data over QPST, where it isn't readable by any program except that one.
