so when I turn on the WiFi, it does connect...but my signal icon shows zero...i am running Cyanogen 3.6.8.1, does anyone know how to make the signal appear?
do you get throughput (i.e., does the browser load pages). What type of encryption do you use? Have you tried to reflash?

it goes connect to WiFi...or at least I think it does. browser page does load alot faster than 3G, market is faster, etc. I haven't though about reflash...let me try that first..
same problem too
i go through the something sometimes.... but if u r connected to the wifi even though the sig meter say zero then your good.... if ur wifi is on and u see 3g then u know that its really outta range.... i haven't tried to fix it i guess cyanogen knows and it will be addressed
i just reflashed the ROM with no luck....oh well, at least the WiFi still works i guess...
As the title says for some reason when I am connected to my home router via wifi I am getting horribly slow connection speeds. Some games I've gotten require that you download a 250 or so meg file.however its utterly impossible as it downloads at like 40kb/s. I use to be able and sometimes once in a while I can get it to connect at 10mb/s and for a little bit it'll download the game at that speed too, but then revert to god awful speeds again, where speed test will go to something like 100kb/s down.
Any idea what is happening our how to fix it so I can always have the fastest speeds available?

Anyone at all?

Have you ruled out the router as the issue? The routers I have owned in the past have a "best used before" date so to speak... they seem to burn out and get awfully slow after heavy prolonged use.
If the router is good, information on your ROM might be helpful.
Try resetting your router to the default settings.
Oh sorry, I'm using the leaked froyo 2.2 update. As for my router I'm running ddwrt on a linksys wrt54g2.. I don't think its the router as I've got another computer connected wirelessly that seems to run fine..
Anyone having this issue? My hotspot is brutally slow. Most of the pages don't even load and when I can get a speed test to run, its below 1mb. The phones speed is standard LTE speeds of 20mb around this area.
Is there even anything Verizon can do about this or is the phone messed up?
Thanks.
Is it the offiical Big Red Hotspot ? or are you rooted?
I get 26mbps download on the 4g through the phone, and 12mbps on the laptop when using hotspot. Everything seems to be working as intended, could be a problem with defects.

Legit hot spot.
i have the legit wifi hotspot too. the speeds are all over the place. i have a problem with connectivity. i can only last a few minutes then it disconnects and sometimes reconnts or i have to reconnect it. sometimes my phone reboots when turning off the wifi hotspot. anyone else have similar issues? i do have to say that the usb tethering option has been flawless and very fast.
I just got a bionic rooted wifi tethering working etc, but my speed test on my phone and on my laptop/tablets are really slow. my phone gets about 20mbs down 4 mbs up but on any other device i might get 500-200kb down 4mbs up.
anyone know whats up?
Back in oreo wifi speeds were fine but after the update i am getting low wifi range and the speed is very bad. I have other devices that have way better speed . Is anyone else having this problem? How to solve this?
Yes the same here..has the lowest signal from all my devices
