So I have a slight problem. I installed Blitzkrieg 2.1 on my Revo with a stock rom (the site I got it from didn't say I needed gingervolt >.< I should probably check these things first). Anyhoo, it's stuck on the LG logo, and I need help. After trawling the forums a bit, I came across something called KDZ, but the most direct reference to it said to search the forum for it. Needless to say, after 2 hours, I'm at my wit's end.
Is there anyone who can help me?
If you installed Blitzkreig you have CWM installed. Download Gingervolt 1.3 will install stock kernel, then if successful reboot you can then reinstall Blitzkreig
From CWM you can mount your SD Card through USB Mass Storage if you have CWM 5.0.2.7
If you don't know how to get back to CWM take out battery.. power on holding power button + down button to boot into CWM to flash GV1.3.
If this doesn't work go on to IRC for some help

Dear All,
First i installed cwm recovery from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007863
, it was success but can't do nand backup, so i use rom manager and installed cwm recovery from there and success.
after that i choice boot into cwm recovery from rom manager, phone was restart but stuck in LG logo.
i tried to take out take in the batre and do normal boot on the result is same "stuck in lg logo"
i also tried to enter to cwm recovery by press power + vol down but still same stuck in lg logo
would you please help me ?
Are you holding your fingers on both power and vol down button for long enough? It can take up to 5-6 seconds to enter the CWM

yes, i already tried more than 2 minutes still no enter.
also i already tried smartflash method same problem, there's no driver response
looks like hang in lg logo
Try uninstalling all lg drivers associated with the phone, restart computer then reinstalling all the smartflash drivers then retry

Ohh no, Seems like I have the same problem
Ohh no.. Seems like I have the same problem.. The phone is stuck on the LG logo.
I installed the Cyanogen mod successfully, and everything seemed to work.
Then i started Rom manager to install Clockwork recovery. The clockwork mod was stuck the first time, don't know why!
So I restarted the phone, and tried installing the clockwork mod again, this time there were no problems.
After the clockwork mod was installed I wanted to install the Google addons, so I went to Download ROM, and pushed Google Addons. The phone asked for a restart, and during the restart I was stuck on LG logo.
I would be very very happy if anyone can help me?
Hi, i think you must use the nvflash reset-all-phone procedure.
Search google for "NVflash stock ROM release" and you'll find the procedure and the download links for APX drivers and zip with rom images and tools.
Good luck ! (I made the procedure 10 times in 3 days past bricking my phone..)

Thank you very much, I succeeded in doing a flash through nvflash, so now my phone works great again
Do you know if you can destroy the nvflash possibly? .. just so I know if I play with the phone as much as I want, and always get it working again with nvflash if something goes wrong

Ok, so i rooted my lg optimus 2x using super one click. Then i went on to to use rom manager first to backup my stock 2.2 rom, after this i downloaded the cm7 mod to my sd card. Finally i installed the rom to my phone. Now my phone is spinning around in the cyanogen mod 7 "skateboard guy". I cant get into recovery mode, or im just not doing it right. i got it to go to the android 3e recovery mode but i couldn't press anything there(if that is the correct term) PLEASE HELP, I CANT EVEN DO ANYTHING ON MY PHONE PLEASE PLEASE HELP. Im new to the android rooting, roms, and hacking so help me out, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
Yeah you're not doing it right, Android 3e Recovery is the stock recovery, so not much good, and you're in a boot loop because you didn't wipe before flashing.
I'm guessing your Optimus 2X is a WIND one? Just that would explain why you were able to install CM without properly installing a custom recovery, as ROM Manager would use fake-flash?
If so, you should be using the T-Mobile G2X forum, as your phone is actually one of them
thank you for the reply
Is there anything i can do right now to get my phone working again.
Yes.
You need to answer my question though, do you have a WIND O2X or a 'world' O2X?
What you're going to have to do is NVFlash a new recovery, but which phone you have matters, as the partitions are different.
i have the wind o2x
Thought as much.
Do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1086687
It will let you install ClockworkMod properly, so you can boot into it with Power & Vol-, at which point you do a factory reset and with any luck your phone will boot into CM7.
Also, for more accurate responses, you might want to use the G2X forum, as that's what your phone actually is
So I was putting V21A on my p925g, got it on and working fine, rooted it, and then when I started to flash CWM, it started acting funny. It told me to mount the SD card, so I went into options and mounted it, everything seemed fine. I then went to flash CWM again and it told me to mount the SD Card again, so I restarted my phone, and thats when it stopped working.
When I boot into Android System Recovery <3e> it says:
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/log
E:Can't open CACHE:recovery/log
and if I try to wipe data/cache/ or any of the options, it says completed, then it says E:can't mount CACHE:recovery/log
So.. am I totally screwed now..? Is there a way I can have my device recognized by USB so I can re-flash V21A, or recover the phone?

Yes it boots to the logo, but the problem is I can't get it to be recognized as a USB device.. Therefore I can't flash, or do anything like that..
Edit: Also I've tried to get download mode to work, but I can never seem to actually get it to work.
Ok turn It off pull the battery out then hold down the buttons for download mode plug the usb in and put the battery back in all wile hold those button down and let go when it vibrats or when devise manger sees it

When I attempt to start my phone in download mode, in device manager COM&LPT section will show up with an Unknown device under it, then quickly disappear - There is a bubble in the bottom right that says there was a problem installing hardware.. Any ideas?

Haha thanks anyways, I managed to get it working. My problem was holding down the power button too long, which would shut the phone off.. >.<... Your thread is very good, and straight forward, ive learned quite a bit about my phone. Just a tip to others who flash the v21a - root using super one click, and then flash CWM via dark's flash manager, I tried to flash through rom manager, and it gave me the option for the optimus x2, thinking nothing of it, i flashed it which was the source of my problems.. im now using the King 3D rom.. has everything I need, the only downfall for me is frequent browser crashes..

Well that's great that you got it!
Optimus 3D with an identical problem
Hi guys,
UK based noob here in desperate need of some help! My LG Optimus 3D won't boot past the stock Android recovery screen. When i select "Wipe cache" etc it displays "can't mount CACHE:recovery/log".
Using the method of pressing volume up & power button i can get Windows to recognise the phone when looking at Device Manager (it shows "LGE mobile composite USB device"), but ADB doesn't let me communicate with the phone and neither does any other program.
Please please please can someone help me?! How can i fix my phone?
BACKGROUND-
I got to this stage after doing the following: i used LG Mobile Update (after a LOT of messing about trying to get it to work) to update to Android 2.3.5. It kept all my data and settings but unrooted my phone. So i re-used SuperOneClick to root my phone again.
Upgrading to Android 2.3.5 didn't give me the updated stock email app, so i wanted to try and update that myself. I went into ROM Manager.. and here is where i think i made my mistake. Instead of flashing ClockworkMod Recovery as i would do normally to do a backup image of my phone, i instead went straight to "Backup existing ROM" in the main ROM Manager page. My phone rebooted itself.. and now i am where i am. Screwed!

I'm not exactly sure, but once I got my phone in download mode (volume up + power) I just used dark lestat's guide to flash the european V21A KDZ. Once I flashed that, I downloaded his recovery manager, and flashed CWM that way. The first time I flashed CWM via rom manager is what caused all my problems..

Yeah that's where I went wrong too.
I seem to be able to get it in some sort of download mode, but I'm not entirely sure. I use the volume up + power button technique. I used the LG update software to download a recovery image and it started updating the phone, but when it gets to 15% complete it says the connection between the computer and the phone has been lost. It's really annoying!
I'll re-read Dark Lestat's guide and try that. Thanks for your response.
Got it working! Dark Lestat's guide worked a treat. I honestly thought I'd bricked my phone.

Have you tried using the LG update tool?that should settle most of the issues...
if you have recovery, try using the Back to EXT3 which will wipe all the user data and apps....and then flash the custom ROM one more time to check
hi all, i have almost the same problem.
i used chuck norris 1.5 with etana kernel, then i flashed synobsis 1.2 and after that my phone dosent boot. so i tray to go back to an old back up, but with power and volume down i cant enter the cwm.
i put battery out, and after a long time wait (around 12 hour) i can enter the cwm, but my sd card is not shwoen. i realy dont know why this happend, cus i flash alot of roms and kernels all the time, and never happend befor, that cwm is not avavebel.
and the badest thing, wehn i come in cwm, and go out, i have to wait again around 12 hour, with battery out, til i can reenter.......
dos someone can help me? pls
Just reflash back to Froyo using nvflash and start from the beginning and up, your phone should be fine.

Anyone else having this issue? Procedure I followed was at "[ROM][ICS][P920] First ICS 4.0.4 Full 3D ROM Ported From SU760". Honestly, I'd really like to post this in the appropriate thread, but can't yet. I am experiencing the phone powering to the LG screen and off repeatedly upon plugging in a charger as well as hitting the power button. I had hoped it might just need juice but no dice. Does this really have anything to do with CWM? There is something about a modified USB cable in the original post that refers to a "screen issue" but there is no clarification to what issue. Here is my original post with a follow up:
Thanks!
OK maybe I should clarify

I do get the "S/W" screen with Korean text when I boot into download mode (if my terminology is correct i.e. up vol + power + connect usb cable to pc, then insert battery. How can I recover? Start over? How if I can't set connection settings on the device? ACK I have been at this far too long and must rest, hopefully with shiny new replies in the morning.
So to clarify, I had the ROM running fine. I was about to flash a zip, but was tired and had not loaded it onto the external SD. I am using the CWM referred to in the original post here:
"[ROM][ICS][P920] First ICS 4.0.4 Full 3D ROM Ported From SU760".
The app went through the motion but did not install anything, I assume. Then I hit "Boot to recovery." Could that have caused this? Now I get the LG screen and then no power, up to 3 times if I hold power. I am hesitant to follow any bootlooping procedure since I don't know if they apply to this phone and if that is the problem (it appears to be, but I am new to this. I WAS feeling nice that I was able to get ICS up and running). I cannot seemingly boot to recovery to reflash or downgrade. Also, when I connect to pc in download mode I get the Korean "S/W" screen with circular arrows and Korean text, but LG Flashtool does not connect. I recall hitting "Recover" in English during the original ROM flash. Please help!
I think it could be a bad ROM.
I assume that you can't boot to CWM/recovery mode and reflash a different ROM.
If I'm correct, I'd try to reinstall CWM via USB if possible...
Thanks for responding!
Someone IS out there...
I can't seem to boot the phone itself into CWM recovery no matter what. The phone was not left in debug mode, unfortunately. I am looking into using ADB to perform some kind of boot loop recover, but at this point am not confident in doing so. Any ideas here would be nice.
I see a boot loop recover guide on the forums, but it seems to assume I am able to boot the phone into CWM recover.
FYI I am not fluent in 'Android speak' but am getting there.
So if I am able to get a COM connection to the phone in download mode (which seems to be the case, as I mention with the S/W screen with circular arrows and Korean text- I do see a connection in Device Manager) is it possible then, to reinstall CWM as you mention? How? Would that, then, hopefully, revert it to a state where it is not, seemingly, attempting to implement some non-present process on booting?
OK Finally!
OK so NO one seemed to be able to help with my direct issue but I was able to at least reflash to the 'stock' Korean ICS port and get the phone up again. Ho Hum. Maybe I'll start an Android reflashing business. I will be trying AcidHazard mod to flash out all the bloatware. And DEFINITELY will be more careful with ClockworkMod.
This is what I did:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803
Alright forget what I said about further flash for now
I was gonna try to flash in the Acid Hazard music rom which looks awesome, but the Prada CWM I installed (mentioned in the original xbsall ICS ROM installation procedure) once again caused a boot loop and I had to reflash the xbsall rom again. Until I see a CWM that I know will not cause this, I won't be booting into recovery. As I'd like to make a Nandroid backup, what is up with this CWM being a problem with my phone (ATT LG Thrill P925)? Anyone?
