Mine wouldn't install either. I had to doctor. I didn't uninstall Android, but used Acmeinstaller to reinstall moboot. Android was still there.

I have a Streak 7 with android 2.2.2 on it. And rooted.
I cant seem to download some app's.
Facebook, messenger, and a few more.
This doesn't make since.
Can someone help?
Have you tried the Amazon App store?
I have the same problem. Apps that say they are compatible and that I installed on my ZTE Blade and Mid7 tab won't install on the Streak. Trying to install Lookout and WiFi Sync Manager.
Anyone got any ideas on this one. I could find the apks and force install but would prefer to do it through the market

Those should all work on 2.2.2. Try clearing cache and data on your Market and starting fresh (Home---> Menu---> Settings---> Applications---> Manage Applications---> All---> Market---> Force Stop, Clear Cache, Clear Data; restart and open your Market). Doesn't affect anything and it's worth a shot.
Did you flash 2.2.2 rooted, or root 2.2.2? If the above doesn't work, you may have a corrupted Market. If that's the case, download the new Market apk here:

Tried the market reset, no difference, then installed the new market and still no difference. I have a new streak 7 with 2.2.2 installed and rooted using gingerbreak.

I just tried installing the Facebook app on 2.2.2 (Streakdroid 1.3), and had no issues with it. Unless someone has a better idea, I would recommend doing one of the following:
1. Install via the web based market.
2. Load up ClockworkMod Recovery (via ROM Manager; available in the market) and flash a new ROM. I'd go with Streakdroid if you don't need WiFi, stock/rooted 2.2.2 if you do.
Sounds like you got a bad update, but I can't say for sure. If you install a custom ROM and still have no luck, it may be something specific to your Google account (though I should think that would be far less likely than something being wrong with your particular firmware on your S7).
I am having major issues getting adb to work for me. I have uninstalled, tried installing custom and even tried a couple scripts I found to get it to work. Everything I try and every tutorial on how to get adb to work with it isn't working for me. I am running win7 x64 which is where I think the problem is. Everytime I plug in the nook color it automatically installs the nook driver instead of the custom driver. I even turned off the automatic install of drivers. Any help on this would be amazing as I just got honeycomb to boot with no issues but can't get any gapps installed. Thanks in advance.

I prefer the adbWireless app. Less work to set up.

Just checking if this is possible before I attempt it, or if it will mess something up.

Sure you can. Preware is in webOs which has nothing to do with your Android installation.
I like webOS a lot. Shame that it doesn't have the apps that android has.
When you install preware you can add all sorts of tweaks that will make your tablet run much better. It will have no effect on your Android. For example, install uberkernel and you'll be able to OC. It's very stable. Make sure you read/study about it before doing anything.
Go over to the webOS nation forum and read up on it.
Good luck.

As chicle_11 said, you may find this useful which I posted in another thread.
Install preware with Webos Quickinstall here is a link https://www.box.com/shared/45151ecc89fd2b4fce2f . After you have run quickinstall and installed preware you can install an app called Cyboot. This article here explains what you need to do http://liliputing.com/2011/10/how-to...-or-webos.html . It really is not difficult and should only take a couple of minutes.
My phone is running Google Play services ver 7.xx.
There are some compatibility problems of it with CM12 official. So I need to downgrade it to ver 6.xx.
How can it be done?
Normal apk installation fails.
Installed via adb, adb says success and Google Play services starts FCing. However, on restarting phone and checking Google Play services app info, it is still at ver 7.xx only.
So how to downgrade?
Edit - Uninstalled using Titanium Backup. Install apk via adb. Restart. Done.
Disabling it under Apps and then apply your APK doesn't work?
Good luck on that. I had an LG phone that was incompatible with a newer version. I could install the older version, but no matter what I did, as soon as I connected to the internet for any reason, it would update to the new incompatible version in the background.

Hello everyone
I ve installed manually Samsung browser version 5.0 over my old version but it doesn't run correctly with errors, unexpected closes etc.. Now I want to go back to the right version but I cannot either uninstall it or install the previous one over the new one as it's a system app. I'm not rooted.. Is there a way I can do it or any 5 version that works correctly to anyone to install it?

I don't think version 5 worked for me either.
If you installed it then it should have installed as a user app. You should be able to uninstall it via app manager using the 'uninstall updates' button and revert to the default (system) version.
Have you tried clearing cache and data for the browser app first?
You can always install the play store version.
