I have CM 7.2 - RC5.1
Is it possible to extract Camera.apk file from emanoN rom, pack it as required and install it on CM7.2 - RC5.1 ROM?
The reason is emanon is based on ver 2.3.6 and the camera video recording/playback voice is absolutely fine, where it is not in CM - RC5.1
Would this work?
Any help on this would really help many more who has problem with sound.
That's not possible up to now.
Try using MiUI Camera. Or LGCamera, records video at 480px

Let us be clear ...
We all know that normal JVP stock rom has good cam clarity compared to CM7 ..
Does MIUI Cm7 rom have same cam clarity like the stock rom or it has less clarity ..
i am asking about the cam clarity ..
Previously i used NIGHTLY bulid 24 . Now i want to go for CM7 once again ..
Tell me how is the cam here in CM7

The clarity of MIUI cam and video is very identical (if not same) as stock clarity
as for TW 4 you can have that on MIUI ( im using it now)
and finally lockscreens, there is a huge amount of lockscreens for MIUI, more that 9 - i would say about 15 - 20 different lockscreen styles.
Hello everyone, these days, coming on XDA, I'm noticing that there are many ROM to try for my phone, but I do not know what would satisfy me. which ROM do you recommend? Thank you fo all
If you want stable and quite fast ROM I rocommend EmaNon, if you want nice and fast but not that stable like as EmaNon I recommend Cyanogen, If you love music and you don't need very smooth and stable rom CM7 music edition - for you.

Defineatly CM7 Music Edition
Its great if you are looking for good music experience
For Modified Stock ROM :
1. Ginger-Fire aka Ginger-Gear v2
2. Emanon ROM (with OC Kernel)
Both can use OC Kernel for Andro-ID by squadzone
For Custom AOSP ROM (CyanogenMod) :
1. CM 7 Music Edition (a bit tricky during flashing)
2. CM 7 - 1102011 by squadzone (lots of OC Kernel)
3. CM 7 - 09102011 by tj_style (pure CM 7 experience)
All CM 7 can use OC kernels for CM 7 by squadzone, recommended : bootsmart18f-763 MHz max
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 | Android 2.3.7 | CyanogenMod 7.1.0-09102011 by tj_style| Kernel Smartboot18 OC 763 MHz with Undervolt-SmartassV2-Simple I/O-GPU OC by Squadzone
CM7 Music Edition... i rec. that .. its cool.. just try or follow u heart says ..

If You Need Stock Based Mod ROM Try
- Ginger-Gear
- Emanon
- Andro-id
If You Hope For CM7 Try
- CM-7 Music
- Cm-7 OC by SquadZone
im using CM by tj_styles OC kernel by squadzone + increase graphic performance.. soo far its good..
I'm using CM7 with OC kernel continued (build 13.11) by squadzone Now works perfectly!
I've tested CM7 music edition but did not convince me. Something I missed it simply. ;-)
CM7 Music Edition with squadzone OC kernel works great! My benchmark result is around 1800.
Unofficial CyanogenMod 7.1.0 ( 2.3.7 ) Build 15112011 the best!!
stability-EmanoN
features-CM7
the music edition has even more features...but its slow...the next version is due and would be uploaded very soon....and i expect that to be better..
P.S. even EmanoN v3 is coming soon...so you might try both...though you'll prefer CM7 music edition just by the first look, you can always try
a problem i have with cyanogenmods is that the contacts application does not support selective friend syncing from facebook and not even deleting multiple contacts...
so it depends on what you want...
I have been using several custom rom but not all and this is my personal choice.
1)CM7 Music Edition
2)CM7 by Tj_Style
3)EmanoN
4)CM7 Squadzone
The new CM7 by squadzone seems buggy to me and I doesnt yet test the flaztki rom
If you want to overclock CM7 music edition and tj_style use the oc kernel from this thread.
Hope this help you.
Hello i flashed CM7 on my Lg P970 and i was video recording some fireworks just for a test on HD (tested all the settings) but when i watched the clip the audio sucked really really bad and i didn't had that problem on the stock-rom.
So my question is: Is there a fix?
I am running Android 2.3.7 CyanogenMod-7-12302011-NIGHTLY-OptimusBlack
[KERNEL] Nova v11 (it was also bad before i flashed that Kernel)
[KERNEL] [CM7] Huexxx's kernel Also Bad
Try LGcamera from market

If u like stock try Andro-id v3.3.1 or emanon v6 (personally i think v3 is better)
For Cm try kittenlinux build or mebitek's (he is back)
If you love customzing go for squad's
for stock based I prefer MORe rom
for cm7 based I prefer mebitek's cm7
Official Cm7 rc1..best battery backup on a cm ROM.

Hi,
What is the best/most stable ICS/JB ROM for the Galaxy S 1?
I am going to use it as my primary phone so all phone functions are a must, plus (and this is the main point) I need proper camera and camcorder (not video illusion...)
But I also really need something stable
Thanks!
Cm10 is good for me and my usage but in my opinion the best way to know is to try them out for a day or two and decide.

Try custom JB Rom C-RoM Mix v5 or C-RoM BeaN v2.4. They are tested very fast, smooth, and stable.
I even flashed the latest JB Camera 4.2 and it's working fine. This is the latest and best camera so far for JB Roms.
For me, C-RoM roms are lagy after first 12 hours...They are fast, but CM10 based roms are smoother.

Where can I find the camera app for Galaxy S?
Does this rom include gapps? If not, where can I get the suitable gapps?
Thanks!!
Try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33544714&postcount=1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32493954&postcount=1
The Rom already has Gapps.
For better performance flash a big memory kernel afterwards - Mackay 0.95 or Semaphore 2.5.0s
