I can't see the Zip file in Mobile Odin Pro
If we are talking about stock ROM, unzip it. It contains md5 tar files.
Also I don't think you can use zip with mobile Odin.

you have a CWM file that is flashed via recovery NOT a standard stock/odin rom flash
just go in recovery mode
choose "install zip from sd card"
choose "internal sd card"
then choose the .zip file
press yes and wait

im in big trouble...
i tried to flash a rom earlier this morning using clorkworkmod Rom Manager..
but after done flashing, all my phone do is keep on repeating the boot animation of htc quietly brilliant....
so i try to do some recovery but the thing is.. i cant get into recovery mode at all..
it say that usb not recognize..
so i cant go into my phone,
i cant go into recovery,
what should i do??
Copy your ROM to sd card, rename clockworkmod file to update.zip and copy it to the root of your sd card. Insert your sd card and go to recovery by pressing volume down+power, then after red triangle appear wait it for 5 -10second, then press volume up+power, choose apply update.zip, it will take you to recovery menu, you can flash your device with any ROM from it.

Yes that is recovery-update.zip, rename it to update zip.
Don't rename the rom, let it like the original name
Root of your sd card is ah..... i am dificult to explain it, if you in windows explorer, go to your sdcard and paste it there, not in folder.
I hope you understand my bad english.

1. Power off phone
2. Power on and hold volume down key to boot straight to recovery
3. Try flash again
Might be wrong here but I thought that to flash a rom you put it on the exteranl sd card and reboot in to recovery and then choose install zip from sdcard and then choose your file. there are a few files which you rename to "update.zip" and follow the process you have done but I sure a rom flash isn't that way.

OP cannot mount sd-card in recovery. What I mentioned was a workaround to enable mounting of sd-card. Once OP is able to mount sd-card then he is able to flash rom.
You need a physical SD to flash via CWM...

Yeah u can only put a rom on by using an external sd card not the internal

Hello everyone, I am new on forum and this help urgently so I have to ask this here..
I was updating to gingerbread following this tut and had problems with last step which is "Re-“Stocking” Yer System…". The actual problem is that I transfer my .zip to tab and later in Recovery mode I can't find it "“install zip from sdcard”.
Is there any other way to do this or where's the problem cuz I am pretty sure I know that I've put file there lol
Did you put the zip on internal or external?
Why dont you just use odin/heidmill to flash the stock gb

First step is "install zip from sd card" then "choose zip from sd card". in the last step even if it is on the external sd you will be able to find it. Done several times with the zip on a folder I created on the external sd called downloaded.

It's on internal and I see other folders (like on PC) there but no sign of my .zip ...
It's my first touch with Android so I am not sure what do u mean by that
EDIT: Sorry guys for bothering u for such a stupid thing, I found out what the problems was.. It wasn't .zip file, it was .rar... Ah, I really shouldn't do such things tired at night. Thanks guys anyway, from now on I'll look better

I used a 32GB sdcard. I think it is a Patriot. So you mean, it should be possible to mount an external sdcard with TWRP and install from it? In the meantime I could solve it using the advanced options. There was nothing under /sdcard but the install-image under /emmc. So I copied it with TWRP to /sdcard and then thank God the installation worked after a few tries.

Well Done! emmc can be recognized by cwm, what i mean before, sometimes (rarely) some external sd cannot be mounted, i m now searching for some info on that, as some of my friends here complaint their cwm cannot detect emmc or externalsd but da card can be access from inside ROM, i try it myself n found several sd (dont know if size n type or class differ) cannot be mounted.
If success then well done

for two days now i've been trying to get jellybean 4.1.2 onto my galaxy s plus. i used odin multi-downloader to do the things suggested and when i get to the part involving the zip file on the sd card everything goes south. it gives me a "cannot mount" message and now basically the phone can either be put into downloading or recovery mode. i'm making a last attempt to get something going using the pda button and a zip file. but it's been over an hour now and i don't think i've resolved anything. got this message initially "<1> setup connection..." but the clock just keeps on ticking away.
i'm desperate and feeling stupid. and tired. time for bed. maybe someone can help walk me through this again.

that message is normal, you have the roms in external sd or internal? if they are in external sd you have to search with "internal sd" option (is an error, internal sd shows you the content of external sd and sd shows you the content of internal one). make a factory reset and then try to flash one of the rom you have on your sd (if you can find them), if you want 4.1.2 rom i suggest you ivendor's one
keep getting a can't find

Mmm is what i've been saying for days. i put the zip file ROM on the SD from my pc. then i put the SD card into the phone. but the result is always the same. i'm wondering if there are some drivers missing? it all seems so straightforward but it doesn't work.

no, is not some driver... try to format your extternal sd, then put the rom on it again, if it doesn't work try to flash another recovery , you can try this one, it is an odin package, so you can flash this the same way you flashed the other one http://d-h.st/beP
Hello,
After some problems with mounting sd card on some ROMs I finally returned to stock firmware for i9070. One problem is - I do not see nothing in "apply zip..." either from sdcard or memory. I don't see nothing in catalogue tree. What should I do? I would try another time with one ROM but I cannot flash it via stock recovery. I tried to flash CWM (with kernel) but it has bricked my phone ;/
Or if somebody will provide me a link to good "other recovery" for i9070 I will be pleased and shake your hand

You need to install kernel with custom recovery. You did not tell what os yoh use, JB or GB.
P.S. You can't install ROM with stock recovery.

You probably had CWM, not stock recovery.
Root phone.
Install CoCore-E, Harsh build. (Unzip it, use kernel.bin.md5 with Universal Kernel flasher, and you will need some root explorer like ES file explorer to use file with Universal kernel flasher.
Voila.
Thank you so much - I'll try tomorrow

You must put it in external SD card.
And if you put it there, and still do not see anything - you need to repartition your sd card. Tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SD_card_partitioning
Remember - repartition - not format. Backup your data from it, because you will loose everything from it.

Use USB mass storage. And you will see SD as you see it with card reader.
If you are talking about cwm, then sometimes you need to unmount either sdcard or emmc
But I wouldn't count on this information
