[Q] Buying a X8

Hi,
i want to buy a new X8. ATM i just have a K800i
I looked around here and saw, that there is a Problem with the MultiTouch Support.
My Question:
Is it the only way to test with a sample Programm, if it has a Cypress Digitalizer?
If yes:
Is there any Shop, which are selling X8 with Cypress Digitalizers?

All I can say is baaaaaaad choice. Get a Samsung or something. The X8 is pretty old. No updates from SE anymore. You're going to get bored pretty soon.

Can u suggest me then a Samsung? Max 150€

Go to your country's carriers websites. Prices aren't the same everywhere.
The Galaxy Y is exactly 150 € here in Greece.

I searched and found the Samsung Galaxy Y for 229 is the cheapes at the Samsung Website.
The Xperia X8 is for 117€

What? Are you kidding me
Here in Greece everything is overpriced and the Galaxy Y is only 150!!!

Then it is in Germany even worser

Just looked into Amazon: Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 - 116,49
So: Never buy from the official store
But it doesn't look better then from the X8.
Only it is better in terms of ClockSpeed and maybe RAM.

That's a big deal and it also runs on official Gingerbread.

Its not a problem just x8 doesnot support multitouch by its hardware but all custom roms have multitouch built in, so its not real multitoch but it work very well....

You can test it by x8toolbox of puppet....i think that you can order via ebay cypress and replace it by yourself its like 10min of your time

What about Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570? It has slightly more RAM and ROM than X8 but only the display is not as nice as X8

Which phone ?

Hi to all going to get a new phone but can't decide between the xperia S and the galaxy S 3. To me they both have good spec and both have there own + points
Please give your views on The 2 phones

I would go for the SGS III.

Well if you are clumsy i would recommend Xperia S but if you need Quad core (i doubt) just buy SGS III.
But if i would be buying new phone i would go for some HTC

SGS III has 16/32/64gb internal memory,1gb of ram + Android OS, v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich),buy it if you have money!

I don't like HTC there build quality is not all that IMO my friend had HTC desire HD and shattered the screen by sitting on it.

Sony will dump the XPERIA™ S.

why an htc??

Go for SIII
Like so many top-end phones of this generation, the Sony Xperia S does not let you use memory cards
Also processor is quad core in SIII
Camera has more features in SIII than Xperia S
Also samsung is known for their tough and sturdy design so even if you drop your SIII... I guess their will be no problem

Take the S3, its better supported by samsung and xda.

Also the Galaxy S3 has Corning Gorilla Glass 2, so you can't even scratch the screen

I recommend the Xperia S. It is wsy better in design than sgs3...........only bad point is that it has dual core not quad core..

Quad core only eats batery and isnt really neede atm. a 1.4-1-5 dualcore is more i can even use.

Hmmm. Well...
It has an ARMv7 processor and 512 MB of RAM and bigger screen but same resolution. If you dont need high end phone its good but i would rather go for Xperia miro

I wanted to do the same but in every review i have read they are complaining about the display and the camera. The camera on the X8 is lousy too, but the display is ok. So I will wait for another cheap replacement for the x8.

No, only xperia sola.

Xperia Tipo is definitely faster and better than the Xperia X8. I have both the phones, Im seriously bored of the lags on the X8. The Tipo runs ICS jus fine, actually quite smooth even with a 800MHz processor. The camera is still a let down because its still 3.2 fixed focus. Image quality is not upto the mark, but price-wise its fine.
The choice is yours actually, there are better phones now. Wouldnt you want a bigger screen like the Sola or Xperia U?

Really depends on what you want your phone for.
If you are a gamer, choose the SP as it has the Adreno 320 which is MILES ahead of the Adreno 225.
If you are a pure photographer, then choose the T, because it has a 13 MP camera while the SP has 8MP
If you are an average person that does some of all of the above, then I'd say the SP is better, because of its wonderful specs and decent camera. No lag at all for me on the SP.

I would choose the SP any day. Not a big fan of arched backs.

SP. Go for SP bro. I am an old user of T. SP is Better tha T.
Only Three things is Better in T.
1) RAM management. Awsom in T.
2) Camera
3) Display. 100 % Better than SP
Other wise SP is the winner..

Better go for SGS III or Nexus 4 or get more money and buy XZ. In Poland different between SP and Z is about $75 - $100 (New SP <-> almost new Z).
I would go for Nexus 4 if I need to choose again (and have not enough money for Z). Always updated custom roms.
I don't regret buying SP but annoying is no CM for C530x yet.

I also tought about buying Xperia T but 2 things made me choose for SP:
- better battery and stamina mode
- more recent so longer updates ( I guess )

Its VGA, so don't expect any good HD pictures.
But it will do the job if you are using Face a Unlock or Skype-ing. Its not excellent though....

Then you should choose the nexus 4.
Same GPU but a Quad-Core CPU, + tons of custom ROMs and the latest android available -- just awesome
I wish I could have a nexus 4 but it is not available in my country

Camera in SP is actually better than Z or T. 2 of my friends have a T and a Z. we did a camera comparison test. and guess what, SP was the winner, in low light and outdoor. might have less MP's than the others but the quality is awesome.

Performance wise the SP is close to the N4. Our processor has a high clock speed, we have a better battery and expandable storage. For the price it's a very good 4g phone.
I could have got a better phone but I don't need flagship performance. It's a bit snobby to say this, but I have to raise my eyebrows when people get the most expensive phones and only really use them to make calls, send texts and take basic photos.
