I'm currently running a droid 3 XT862 on Verizon, recently rooted, and loaded Maverick 2.5. I was wondering if anyone has noticed or experienced the 3G toggle in the notification bar not working? The rest of the toggles appear to be working (Airplane Mode, WiFi, etc). At the moment I'm having to turn 3G on and off through the settings\battery & data manager etc. I loaded the AOSP HC Theme from the toolbox if that is even relevant.

According too buckmarble, there isn't a 3g toggle. Might have from theme.

I'm coming from the cdma hero running cm6, and darch and the cm team modified the power management widget so you can toggle data on and off. Not that it's a huge deal, but I'm not a fan of having to go into settings every time to enable/disable my data. Any help? Thoughts? Cm6 would destroy on this phone.

Certainly. Go to Settings -> Cyanogen Mod Settings -> User Interface -> Widget Buttons, and then tick "Toggle Mobiledata".
EDIT: I just reread your post - this doesn't change the widget, but does change the power control in the notification dropdown. So kind of a solution?
Let me rephrase, I WAS running cm on my hero, but now I have the optimus s. I want to be able to turn off evdo/3g from the power control widget. Phone is root but still on stock rom. No other way except going into Settings/wireless and networks/ mobile networks/ and then toggle 3g on/off from there. Should see if darch and the guys could do cm6 for the optimus.

Oh, I apologise for my misread. To the best of my knowledge, toggling mobiledata via a widget isn't possible without a modification made to the ROM that most stock roms wouldn't have.
I'm not 100% sure on this though sorry.
I believe you are correct sir. It's too bad they don't put it in. hopefully they include it in gingerbread. Need some cyanogen mod love for this phone.

i used to have a widget on my htc hero that could turn on/off mobile data network aswell as wlan, gps and so on, think it was called power manager.
But after i migrated to the lg optimus 2x, no such option is available, even tho it appears to be the same widget as on my old phone.
I tryed searching for this but could not find anything useful, so i ask you guys if you heard of anything that could enable/disable mobile data network.
I would love to get the option in the status bar next to the current toggles (wlan, gps, rotation and so on), but a widget would suffice.
Cyanogen rom has the options to toggle all that.
For stock rom check in the market place for APNON widget
As a widget I use widgetsoid and would recommend it. You can customise what is on it and also the look to a certain extent. Been good for me
my first post was a bit unclear..
The other toggles i list in my first posts are already in the drop-down status menu, the one im missing is the mobile data network toggle.
i´ll check the widgetsoid, thanks for the hint!
Or try "Elixier", lots of toggle functions.
Market Link:

Try quick settings
I would recommend Widgetsoid.
Elixir is good in function, but it uses a lot of power. My battery drained twice as fast with Elixir compared to Widgetsoid..
Anyone else notice that LTE OnOff doesn't seem to work since the OTA (which added a CDMA/LTE toggle under network settings)?
It brings up the screen like it always did, but changes you make don't seem to stick. Doesn't really matter since you can do it from Settings now, but still interesting.

Does anyone know if there is a widget capable of toggling the 4g on and off?
I haven't found a widget but you can switch between 4g/3g in this menu...
Settings > Wireless & Network settings > Mobile Networks > Network Mode
That's been my current method, but i'm looking for something much faster for when I know ill be watching nfl live stream or using the market.
I have not found one either. Extended controls has the controller widget but I don't think it's updated for Bionic yet. Errors saying your device is not 4g-capable.
Have you tried Power Control Plus? I don't know if it's compatible with the Bionic (and I haven't seen any upgrade notices for it recently), but I believe it had a 4G toggle available.
The app "LTE Switch" is good. throw a shortcut on the homescreen and it takes you directly to the settings to turn it on/off

Click to collapse
In my opinion this works good. it also gives you the choice for 1ex (cdma only) in those areas (like my work) where the phone is trying to access 3g but cant.
So you have the option to go 1ex, 3g or lte.
I just downloaded LTE switch and I agree that it works well enough for now.
Zdbox network widget works as well
Hello everyone, I've just updated my G2 2014 to Lollipop (5.0.2) and I was wondering if is it possible to enable 3g data from the quick setting with just one touche, like the wi-fi does.
It seems incredible to me that all the other settings can be activated or deactivated with just one touch, except for the 3g data.
Thanks in advance.
nope there isnt a one touch key for that...
Use Power Toggles as a separate widget on the Homescreen.
The 3G toggle works perfectly, and even more so when Tasker does it automatically.

Try toggle data 5.0 made by one of our own xda'ers - most other toggle data apps won't work cause lollipop is super secure about stuff and it needs SELinux permissive stuff which is only in SuperSU, so you need SuperSU and toggle data 5.0.apk (free on official XDA thread)
