[Q] Lockscreen text remaining from Froyobread (Doixanh)

Hi, ever since I upgraded from Doixanh's Froyobread to GingerDX , there has been a text bothering me in the lockscreen. I remember editing the lockscreen text in Froyobread settings but it seems to have disappeared in GingerDX. Yes I know I could flash froyobread and then back , but would all my kernel and custom rom settings e.t.c be saved ? So my question is, how do I remove these?
Any help would be VERY greatly appreciated....
I'm kinda a noob, but I know a lil' bit..
I have alfs Kernel v08.

Yep i would like to know it also, if you are trying to delete text in bottom of lockscreen dont ask it there have a respect to developer coz its his personal rom

The "copyright branding" is compiled into the framework (but that's no secret at all). While it's possible to remove it from the fully built ROM it's not easy, and I don't think anyone will tell you as it's there for a reason.

you changed your rom without erasing the data?

Hi everyone, I meant no disrespect to Doixanh, I love his work, but what I meant was, I had set a custom lockscreen message in froyobread. I was afraid that I might lose important things when uprgrading from froyobread>gingerdx

Yes I did, since I figures that since it is made by the same developer, it wouldn't make any difference. and it didn't, aside from this.

And If I do a full wipe, will I not lose everything? If so, is there any way to restore some of the important stuff?

hey
one of my friends asked to install a custom rom on his x8. i found minicm7 or cm7 (im currently running cm7.2 on my sgm)
1. which is the best rom of the two.?
2. it is safe to open the bootloader if the phone has got simlock.? (I DONT WANT NETWORK UNLOCK!!!)
3. how to install cwm.?
4. how to revert to stock.?
5. how to check this 11w38 or wtf version number. (the build no and baseband is ok for minicm7D)

As our dear RC , Chris , mentioned. Use Search next time.
Anyways , to answer your questions :
1. I found CM7 ROMS like GingerDx/PrimeHD the best of all I tried. But I recommend you to try both ROMS as user experience is different for everyone.
2. It is safe to unlock bootloader if your phone code is before 11W29. I am almost sure simlock status does NOT matter in unlocking bootloader.
3. Root the X8. Flash CWM. Flash ROM
4. To flash back stock , use PCC/SEUS. You'll get back to stock eclair.
5. The code is under the battery (but not on the battery)

how?
turn off your phone..turn on again
when show a bootanimation, press back button until show CMW mode

[Help!]WiFi not work when using nAa Kernel

Hi everyone, I've faced a big problem for installing ROM based on nAa Kernel,
actually I'm using PrimeHD Stock Kernel Version since my wifi only works for stock kernel...
After I tried MiniCM9 based on nAa Kernel, I can switch on the wifi,
but it becomes very unstable and reconnect for many time....
I can't download Apps from Google Play and even I can't connect my Google account...:crying:
I believe my bootloader is unlocked because of the result received from s1tool
Is there any solution for this problem?

You flashed them in correct order ?
Kernel > Full Wipe > Flash Rom

Yes I do, so I don't think the problem comes from that way

Backup
Reset
Flash ROM!
Its work for me for many times

You mean that I have to reflash the nAa Kernel? Flash the Kernel for 2 times?

if its still not working the answer is Yes
and the ROM too..
don't restore data from different kernel.
i.e
you had flashed kernel B but you're restoring from kernel A
it make error..

Clear cache,go to partition and click format cache. Full wipe and reflash rom!

[Q] WiFi error PrimeHD 10 nAa 14

Hello there.
I installed primehd 10 on alfs kernel, but wifi, proximity sensor and brightness weren't working. So I installed nAa 14 kernel, proximity and brightness are finally working, but wifi turns off after few seconds, no connection is located. I tried i thing every advice from this forum but nothing worked. What should I try to make it work?

Did you full wipe before installing ??
Flash the nAa kernel..once flashed..Install the rom and reboot!..all should be working

I not wanted to do full wipe, because I'm lazy for restoring all my apps and settings, but it's done now. It works, thank you
it is probably best kernel + ROM for X8 :laugh:

Problems here...

Hey guys... so, I wanted to install cm9 on my phone. And this is what I did. I flashed Naa ics kernel, and tried to flash minicm9 . I did a full wipe. And it didn't work. The log said something about I16. I don't know.
So,ive read that I should flash minicm 3.0.4 and wipe nothing then flash 3.0.5. And,no luck.
Please guys,I really need help. Please.

Rom Installation aborts?
If yes this may cause by removing build.prop(or localprop), flash another rom (gingerbread recommended) then do wipes & try installing cm9 again.

#no need to run Ginger rom after installation, remove it in recovery
