Try this. This is the latest Dell Stock HC Rom for all regions and build types (3g & wifi). It will be bone stock without root.

S7 roms were always deodexed, you cant really deodex an already deodexed rom.

Thank you

I'd use Nostalgia KB1 based ROM. It is just better. Follow any published flashing guide.

Custom ROMs after Gingerbread update?

After Gingerbread, will Sprint users be able to install custom ROMs that are currently available? Seems like I read someone was working on CM7 also.

I thought that "roms" also had whatever version of the os that it was based on in the rom. Am I getting this confused with the kernel?
Say you take a stock rom and add and subtract and tweak everything to your liking. How it's done I don't know but you make that into a flashable zip and there's your rom.
You would need to root again because you will lose that with the update. Unless you have root, you cant install custom roms.

I knew that, but I'm just not sure if I'm stuck on stock Gingerbread or still able to load a custom ROM that's currently available (without doing the EA24 flash)

Then just flash a stock ROM and root it.
I think SuperOSR is close to stock. Has some CM Parts. No script a2sd--
Have you checked into any Modaco roms--he stays fairly stock also--
Oxygen2.2.2 very close to stock.

It is worth upgrading to 404 as battery life is better, transitions and window animations are smoother than 403.
I'm using CF Root 5.6 LRG kernel and stock odex rom with some bloatware removed.
Well its my personal experience.
You'll sure hear some people advise you to downgrade to GB :silly:
You can download 404 with Check Fus Downlaoder.
Is that kernal safe???

No ICS Kernel is 100% safe.
When performing a Full wipe (Data/Cache), always flash the Abyss 4.2 Kernel first And reboot back into recovery!!!, and then wipe.
and what's the relevance between you going away and the urgent itch to upgrade?
No reason to upgrade lol....i just a flashaholic

Regarding CF Root 5.6 kernels. Samsung has released new sources but we still do not know if brick bug is fixed.
Better safe than sorry - always use GB kernels to be 102% sure and safe.

I do not know if CF Root is compatible with MIUI.
Flash CFR 5.6 with mobile odin.
use only the kernel that came with the firmware, i doubt also that other kernels will work with MIUI.

[ROM] [RECOVERY] CWM Flashable Stock ROMs / Recovery [JOP40C] (11/21/12)

Stock CWM Packages for Nexus 4
I have created some stock ROMs and recoveries that are flashable through Clockworkmod or TWRP. These are taken straight from the Google factory image releases and packaged to be flashed. It can be useful if you want to go back to stock, but you don't have access to a computer at the moment for fastboot. Also, devs feel free to use this as your ROM base. Enjoy
Please note that I don't have my Nexus 4 yet, so please report any issues you may have and I will fix them immediately. Thanks.

Just Google it. I'm sorry, but you are probably not going to get a full answer for all this on XDA, and the more short answers you get the more questions you'll have. Do the research before you root your phone, it will prevent headaches, for you and everyone else.
Thank you so much for the stock recovery and stock ROM, this is exactly what I was looking for.
I am just curious, each time there is an update to the OS via Google, do you also plan on making a flashable zip version of the update as well. For example when 4.2.1 is released? Peace.

I really don't know, because I don't have a nexus 4. But I've read that you can just download the ota and sideload it through cwm.

Can I just replace the recovery image from 4.2.1 in the zip file to have the latest stock recovery?
