But, will i lose everything then or what?
Btw.. the biggest thing im stuck with is the "force close loop" with com.android.phone. Do you know how to solve this?
you can do a backup with titanium backup.. and that way you wont lose your apps...
Yeah as other said,
Just do a backup with titanium and then just flash a stock rom with Odin or use ezbase. And you're good to go

(Q) Changes of IMEI from Darkys 2.3.3 to MIUI 2.3.4

Good day to all expert
I upgrade my sgs i9000 from darkys 2.3.3 to miui 2.3.4, i noticed IMEI changes from original 053xxxxxxxx to 0409xxxxxxxx so i decided to flash back to darkys 2.3.3 and IMEI returned to its original configuration. Is there any way to fix this issue or I did a wrong procedure in flashing rom.
Please advice
Thanks in advance
could try backing up your EFS folder to your SD card before upgrading and then restoring the back up once your on miui?
what happend when your IMEI number changed?
Try this to backup your EFS before flashing:

[Q] Can I Backup Stock Branded Rom?

Hi all,
I've spent most of my lunchbreak searching for the answer to this question but can't find much.
I've just had my phone back from repair where I had to flash O2 branded 2.2 before I sent it back and I had a lot of trouble finding the correct Rom. My returned phone now has branded 2.3.3 on it and I want to back it up myself in case it ever needs to go back again. Is this possible?
Thanks,

Yes it is possible, but you will need to root, instal cwm recovery and then make a nandroid backup

Thanks for the info. Will the Nandroid backup be completely stock then? Won't the backup have CWM and be rooted?

If you root, and install CWM ...CWM and root will remains after you install your nandroid backup. If you rooted flashing a kernel, you may unroot flashing a stock kernel..but it may fail..it may depends on the kernel, not 100% sure. And you need to have the stock kernel to flah any way.
I think you better look for a leeked copy of your stock firmaware today, before having any problem, and store it in a safe place.

I thought so, thanks. I've got my branded 2.2 firmware so I'll just use that in future if I need to send it back again and update through Kies.

[Q] GT-P1010 from Gingerbread back to Froyo

1. Installed CWM Recovery under Froyo
2. Made NANDROID Backup.
3. Upgrade to Gingerbread
3. Installed CF-Root for Gingerbread (thanx to Skin1980)
4. Make second NANDROID Backup
All work nice, but some Problems with Root (reboots).
My Plan:
1. Restore Back to Step 2, the Froyo Backup,
2. Upgrade to Gingerbread again.
3. Wait with rooting til Root Problems under Ginger are fixed (hopefully).
Question:
Have read about Problems with flashing stock Kernel under CF-Root/Ginger.
Same Problems possible by restoring Nandroid, or is Nandroid save ?
Or better waiting for a new Root/Ginger and then get it over the unstable Version.
Thank you in advance

but your plan is going back to froyo just to upgrade again?
just make a factory reset and flash the new firmware again, it will delete everything, including root (the internal 16gb memory is safe) and the cf-root kernel
Your idea looks much better/easier.
Thanks a lot.

If you still have issues, you can try my guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410035
From there, you can install install CWM and the latest CF-Root from Skin1980 and you'll be golden.
All fine,
Thanks for your advise.

[Q] EFS back up Imei related (noob)

Hi Everyone, Hope ya'll are good?
Sorry I am a total noob at this so please go easy on me
Thanks
I rooted my Samsung galaxy S GT i9000 thats all good and updated the software from 2.1 to 2.3.6 (yeah)
Then re rooted it again - Not happy CMW was on there I am scared of that after people saying it BRICKS thier phone
Issues that need help:
1. The EFS Pro tool does not work? I downloaded a few versions all of them just say connect USB???
the only one that was ok was the early v1.4 BUT that kept crashing and saying EFS failed.
just a few times EFS was OK then it crashes???
2. I backed up VIA Titanium backup all my phone and a separate efs folder on my phone and PC.
Will this be ok as EFS back up of the IMEI? or do I need to do something else?
Target = I want CM10 Jelly bean 4.1.2 on my phone.
3. What do i do now get Goomanager or Rom Toolbox Pro or Rom manager?
Which one is best?
4. Do I flash a new rom? or flash the existing one?
5. Can anyone help me please?
Thank You
If all goes well I am willing to buy Coffee for them... If that is okay and is not offensive
Sorry if it is

1. Never heard of the app.
2. Titanium Backup is fine, I would recommend to do a 2nd backup using Nitrality - it's an app. Also backup your backup folders on your PC.
2.1. If you want Jelly Bean, I'd recommend Mackay ROM. The upgrade process from GB to JB in general is quite tricky, even though not risky if you do everything right.
2.1.1. First of all backup your IMEI as mentioned above.
2.1.2. Flash CM9 twice via CWM (first flash will give you a boot loop, don't worry then)
2.1.3. Flash CM10 via CWM (don't remember if you have to do it twice, you'll see if you run into boot loops )
2.1.4. Flash whatever ROM you want.
3. Why do you want any of those? As I already said, you can flash everything via CWM.
4. What?
5. Yes
