When to calibrate your battery? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I understand you need to calibrate the battery after you flash the new ROM.
I just want to make sure into more precise details, like do you need to calibrate your battery after install a new theme in cwm? Upgrade the rom from old version no wipe, like check rom v4 to V5. And stuff like that.
Thanks so much because I kind of confuse:/

Use search. Cm is still buggy, so it could be everything, or simply a faulty installation. Recommendation, use search and find the thread about best rom for our ob, or look into my noob guide. There is basically not a best, but simply a decision of taste, so try them and keep the one you like best

How to change kernel, without changing ROM,

Guys please suggest me on how to change the kernel without changing ROM, the only reason is to get a better battery back up
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA
Just flash it via cwm, it will not affect your current settings... If you don`t have, you must root your phone and install cwm recovery, download your desired kernel and flash it...
And read a little bit in development section, it`s all there...
Yup, flashing a kernel will not change your ROM.
Press thanks to helpful answers!
Thanks bro

What's your problem exactly? There are a plethora of guide threads in the development section. Try looking there.
I had already rooted my note, then i flashing

My root explorer FC me...
My CWM does not work! When i get into cwm it just keep restarting itself and doesnt let me press any button.

Something is seriously b0rked in your system, so I'd advise you to go
back to rooted stock like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25285584&postcount=3
You'll have full root after that, and your CWMR will be fully functional.
For now my phone is useable, everything works but not cwmr.... Should i still need to get a new stock rom?
From what i read in the topic you link to me...
Does it del away my kernel and etc....?

[Q] What Custom ROM choose ?

Hello guys !
A few days ago I install a JellyBean ROM for my country through Odin. And now I want to get new Custom ROM. I found Chucky-bean master rom and it's nice. Maybe you can recommend some nice ROMs ? I want this ROM be fast and have low battery consumption.
Read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2222016
Hope this helps.
Yeah, thanks for link but I want to get your own opinion about some ROMs.

You can see my signature for that. This is the best setup for currently. But it depends on you. You have to try then you'll know.
Hope this helps.
Hmm... I've just install JellyMod 4.0 and it's really nice But I have CoCore E-6.2 and you have 5.6.2. Do I need to change ? And can you explain me what is CRT ?
Sorry for me bad english :/

CRT.
You don't have to. Many people said v6.2 is the best now. I'm just too lazy to flash Crt off is the animation when you turn your screen off.
Ok, so now I have good setup for my ROM But I found nice rom too. It's PureVanilla what do you think about it ? I can test it.

Good luck
I'm using supressed jelly bean with 4cyl turbo 0.5.2 and advance galaxy theme.
Have used nearly all the roms in this forum. This is the smoothest experience i've had. Without any bugs.
Though galaxperia also is good but the widgets dont work

Waiting on a good ROM for the "P" that has NFC capability.
some earlier versions of it are i9070-p capable, i cannot be sure about their quality since i tried the last one only, but you could try. i believe the developer has both phones.

[Q] about my build number

Hi guys. just gonna ask,
I've seen and learned about the build number, and the builds that i come across reading the forums isn't like mine.
Mine is JZO54K.I8190NZSAMC1 so i don't know if it is compatible when it comes to flashing ROM and kernels and other tinkering the OS stuffs to my build. Thanks to your answers in advance.
As long as the rom is for your device, lets say you got the 8190L then you can only flash 8190L roms

It depends does the rom include your model? if it does give it a go
i think it does include my model but to be sure since it's my first time flashing custom roms. i flashed enox revenge and it's going smoothly no noticeable bugs yet. thank you for confirming. now i have peace of mind when it comes to flashing stuffs.

Glad it worked out in the end for you! I tried enox revenge, but i wanted more of a s4 feel so i went with dmod. Both are excellent roms very stable to stuttering or anything.
i've read the thread about dmod. doesn't it drain your battery fast? i think that's one issue of the dmod right? and to fix that you have to flash something (which i've forgotten).
btw thank you again!
