SGS battey reduce !
i have samsung galaxy 1S
i'm using ZDbox apps
so that show me when i recharge mobile full 100%, after the battery gone to empty i have more than 37h
now when i install same apps when i recharge..
I don't understand what do you mean, can you explain us ?
ok i have ZDbox apps this app can show me how many hours that can my mobile still run *when i recharge my battery full 100%. this apps show me 37hours after mobile shutdown.
but now when i install a lot of apps and when i recharge my mobile full that not show me 37hours just 25h with 100% of my battery
Ha, that's normal. When you install apps, your phone's battery life will be less longer, since the apps are often running in background, or have process lanched.
i install same apps like advanced killer or ZDbox that i can kill all the apps working in the background
but they comeback to run !! how to stop them
Task Manager is a very good app for killing background applications.
But if you want to remove system apps, you need to download root explorer from the market, and just remove the app you want in system/app
Hi
U can use root explorer ( but u have root??) be careful with system apps. For first you can get Titanium backup and freeze some apps like widgets, maps, email. When u do that u will see a difference.
i use zdbox & task manager i kill the apps more than 12 apps, but its comeback to run automaticly so how i con stop it !!?
i have version 2.3.6 already rooted i have titanuim backup i dont understand how doe it work !!.
up g
Some apps are always running in background.
So if you really want to stop theses processus, you have to delete the system apps which are running.
For example, defauts apps like gmail, etc can be remove and won't appear in your task manager if you delete them.
To do that, download 'Root Explorer', or 'Root Browser'.
Go to System->App folder and find the right apk you won't see running again.
Right hit on it, click delete.
if i delete and i want go to this apps i can do it normal ?? and i exit that hide
because my freinds has htc desire hd other xperia x10 with android they didn't have this probleme

I been using Advanced Task Manager 4.1 before I updated to froyo and it killed all my unwanted apps very well. All the roms I tryed on 2.2 do this: they leave the apps connected to the internet open. It just wastes my battery. I tryed a bunch of other task killers and none of them work, the apps still stay open. I need to kill the apps untill the next time I open them. Anyone know a way to do that on 2.2 or what my prolem is?
Might want to state what your problem is or ask a question
I edited my post, any way you or someone else can help

For one thing you might want to download DroidWall and disable internet access to all unwanted apps. It is like Firewall for your android.
Also try Taskiller. I m using it and it kills apps and never let them start until screen turns on again.
-Sekhar
See thats the thing, I want them to be off untill I turn them on myself. I think I'll re-download DroidWall (I have known about it) and all task killers do the same thing I guess, which is kill the apps untill the next time you turn on your screen =/
Could you give us an example of these apps that are "staying connected" and some indication of what you're testing to know that they are staying connected?
Apps like: Bloo (Facebook), Hi IM, Android Market, Weather Bug, & others that dont use internet like Astrid Tasks, Startup Cleaner Pro, Titanium Backup, TeslaLED & toggle apps.
I just want them closed when I kill them. Right now I have a shortcut to managing apps so I click on the running tab and manually force close them but thats a pain.
INDICATION: killing weather bug and the notification with the temperature stays.
After killing the apps I have listed they pop up again in the task manager 30 seconds later.
I'm running CM7 and I'm happy with how it performs compared to stock rom. I see improvement in battery and memory usage. So that's good.
However, some apps like facebook, maps, tango etc still appear to become active in the background.
Is there an application which will easily let me manage rights for every app I have on the device? I dont want to freeze them, just change their permissions so they never do anything unless I intentionally start an app.
When I was on stock ROM i tried an app killer with auto kill. So i'd kill apps that were displayed. Check back a few minutes later and everything was back running again..
So to sum up..a good app manager that works nicely with CM7?
Edit: i found something called privacy blocker but I think that wont let me prevent apps from running by themselves....
Edit-2: Nevermind, its not going to work I think...reading this made me realise that some apps me be terminated at start-up, but preventing from booting at a later point is near impossible. Too bad. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=14889
Just ignore them, Android knows how to manage it's RAM effectively.
If you won´t use some apps, use TitaniumBackup (from Market) and freeze apps you are never using.
Seems like some of the installed applications are almost impossible to stop / kill.
Tried a few APK killer programs, but within minutes the application restart
and is running again.
Using too much memory and battery.
Any tips on how to permanently stop these applications from running
until the user wants them to run ?
Thx.
LG P990 ( 2.3.4 )
Freeze them from titanium backup and unfreeze them when needed.
And being in memory doesn't mean resources consuming. Except for those who need network/sync.
use the app "autostarts"
there you can disable apps from being loaded after boot or after any other action
I have a few apps running in the background all the time. Facebook and blood and glory mainly. Is there a way to delete them for good? On Facebook I set it that no notifications and never refresh, and its still using up 12mb. Same with blood and glory. Any way to kill them for good? Is there an app maybe? Thanks.
Well, mainly in android apps have 4 components.
Two of those are Activities and Services.
The activities have UI, you can activate and use it. The services doesn't have UI since they are hidden. You can't Activate them manually and their purpse is to open the app fast. Deleting the app is the best way you can use a task manager to close them.
Advanced Task Killer, for example, has the ability to set timer for RAM clearing, you can set it to whenever you lock your screen.
if i helped you, hit the thanks button
Another way for ram.
I think of the amount of memory (ram) have effected to play game or run any application smoothly.
So If you use kernel Semaphore 2.7.4(GB) or 1.2.0 (ICS) there are choices for big memory to run application smoothly.
I want to kill an app like Facebook, and then I don't want it to run in the background after I close the app. When I kill the process , after aboit 10 seconds it goes on again!
Anyone!?
Anyone 2x?
use advanced task manager.or delete the facebook app and install fbm.it does not run in the background
I've found an useful article about Task killer apps:
Being a new member, I cannot post outside link.
Search for: Task killer apps What they do, and why you shouldn't use them ->
Autostarts
There is an app on android market called Autostarts, it's an amazing app i've used it for over a year now and never had any problems. what it does it stops apps like facebook from starting up automaticly and keeps the app fully closed until you choose to launch it. Same goes for any other app which you choose to disable from auto-starting by itself. This is why Autostarts is so much better than say a normal task killer because apps closed by task killers restart themselves a few minutes later so your just running round in circles trying to keep the app closed probably eating up more battery trying to close it every 5 minutes than if you just left the app alone, where as with autostarts you dissable the app once then thats it it wont start until you tell it to, perfect!
Autostart sounds quite good
I'd also recommend using titanium backup to freeze the app, unfreeze when you want it and then freeze when you dont.
Autostart probably sounds like the easier option, no need to keep freezing and unfreezing, but knowing about titanium backup and freezing apps doesn't hurt

here is my preferred set of apps for the rooted phone
1. Avast Security: Firewall to block certain apps from accessing the internet! And general protection.
2. NoBloat Free: Used in removing the above mentioned apps. Helps to safely backup the apk file and delete it so that we can restore them back later if the need arises.
3. ROM Toolbox Lite: Could be used for many a purpose. But at present I use it to block the ads and prevent autorun services.
4. GSam Battery Monitor: Monitoring battery stats.
5. DS Battery Saver: - My phone never went into deep sleep. With this app it forced the CPU to enter deep sleep whenever screen goes off.
6. LagFix Free: Just like defragmentation in Windows system. Increases read speed of SD card
7. Clean Master: Great task killer, cache cleaner and history wiper. I use it to kill apps on screen off.
8. One Power Guard: Underclock my CPU to certain range. AI mode automatically switches profile. Helps in quicker charging of the battery and also in safe cleaning battery draining background apps.

Uninstall Master remove all for me ... T Y Guys
If you really want to disable all that i think you are gonna miss some things.. !
Don't uninstall com.lge.internal or your widgets break and everything goes retarded.
uninstalling one or more of these has severe negative side effects. freezing does nothing negative to your comp, but uninstalling totaly borked my phone, wouldn't even boot up.

You can also use "SetCPU" (if you don't use "ROM Toolbox" it underclocks the CPU (to what you set it to) to save battery power

Use "Root Firewall" instead, anti-virus apps prove very little need on android, so why use a very resource hogging anti-virus app to manage your firewall.
2. NoBloat Free: Used in removing the above mentioned apps. Helps to safely backup the apk file and delete it so that we can restore them back later if the need arises.
Use "Root Uninstaller instead. In my opinion better looks and more options in one app
3. ROM Toolbox Lite: Could be used for many a purpose. But at present I use it to block the ads and prevent autorun services.
4. GSam Battery Monitor: Monitoring battery stats.
If you just wan't to monitor wakelocks, you can use "Wakelock Detector" instead too.
5. DS Battery Saver: - My phone never went into deep sleep. With this app it forced the CPU to enter deep sleep whenever screen goes off.
Very good and handy app

Thanks for the list. Here's a tiny glitch I've noticed while deleting these apps (yes, I deleted them). My phone (LG Optimus L4 II E440) worked perfectly, booted with no problems whatsoever, all of the functions were normal except that my home button led was constantly on. I've tried re-flashing it and then removed the apps, but unfortunately with the same consequences. When I restored "LGSystemServer" the glitch somehow disappeared: I have no idea whether it was somehow related to the removal of the abovementioned app, just thought it would be interesting to mention. Thanks.
