[Q] How to use all of the screen - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

Is there a way so I'm able to put icons or widget all the way to the top or the bottom of the screen? The "boarder" doesn't allow me to and see like a waste of screen space.

i dont think you can because rotating the tab from landscape to portrait would then make some dissapear ins certain views.
you could try a different launcher like adw ex which might allow you to use more screen estate!

[Q] Wallpaper - not scrolling - a la iphone

Hi,
I know u can uncheck the wallpaper scrolling option in ADW, but i was wondering if someone has a trick to modify the selection area for setting your wallpaper.
Basically I would like that selection area of your wallpaper fits the size of N1's screen.
Right know the selection includes the scrollable area and when u make it "un-scrollable" you end up with just a part of the wallpaper ,
any idea?
thanks!
i don't think you can do it with the stock launcher, but other like ADW and LauncherPro have options like that.... although it looks weird after seeing how cool it is.
When you make the wallpaper, create it "full size" and then just leave whatever you want to stay put in the center of the wallpaper.
Don't crop it, set it, ????, profit.
Or search for Wallpaper Maker in the market, allows for custom cropping for a portrait image, or image stitching.

[Q] problems with Launcher pro/ adding widgets

ok so im having problems adding new widgets to my home screen on launcher pro+ for example facebook widget, when i long press on a blank home screen it simply tells me that there is no more room on this screen. Now i have gone from 3 to 7 homescreens to make sure that I had blank screens. If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.!
There's a possibility that there's a widget added somewhere on the screen but its invisible, i had that glitch happen to me before. Try grabbing it and throwing it in the garbage, usually its in the top/left corner of the screen. Or goto lp settings>home screen settings and increase the rows/columns of your grid, then you should be able to add the 4x4 facebook widget.
well i tried your advice except when i adjust those settings my aps and widgets seem to pile on top of eachother, what would be and ideal setup for the rows and columns?
try deleting all screens than adding new ones.. if not just reinstall

Found a glitch with ADW EX

ok, So even though ADW isnt official for HC and you cant get it from the market I was able to side load it and I noticed a glitch. Say if you have either a gmail or email widget on your homescreen (the ones built into hc) and you go to a different home screen and flip the tablet to portrait to landscape of visa versa it wont stay on the current screen, it will flip to the homescreen that has the widgets. When I removed the widgets it would stay on the current screen. So what I did was move the widgets off my default screen to the 2nd screen. I went to different screen and flipped the tablet and this time instead of flipping back to the home screen it flipped back to whatever screen I had the widget(s) on. I tried using JUST the gmail widget and not the email widget and I got the same results, also tried just the email widget and not the gmail and got the same results. So something is causing ADW to go to whatever screen the widget is on when you switch orientation.
Can anyone who has adw confirm if this is happening to you as well?
i havent had that problem but i get a fc trying to use the adw ex email widget. also i do not like how the wallpaper aligns on the screen using the launcher in landscape mode. id rather use the stock launcher because of that one reason. im kinda picky i guess haha

How to use different grid sizes at the same time (4x4 on home and 5x5 on next screen)

I'm on a Samsung Note 5 and I've been trying to make my widgets more readable by having them on a 4x4 grid sized screen, but I really like the room that I get for my app icons on the 5x5 screens. Is there any way that I can have both going on at the same time?
I'm rooted and on BreakDown's DPD1 v2.1 rom. I've got Xposed and have tried many different apps from the Play Store, Xposed, etc. I've also tried apps that change the DPI setting of my apps, and they do help with my widgets, but they ruin the app when I open them. For example, I can't reach the "Delete" button in Evernote because the DPI settings have made it sink under the screen. It makes the widget just the right size though. No 3rd party launcher seems to be able to do what I want either. I thought Zen UI could, but the grid size option is only for the app drawer and not the homescreen.
Ideally, I'd like for there to be a button or setting that let's me change the grid size on a per screen basis, instead of the universal setting that there is now. Can anyone help me out?

Wallpaper Set Issue

Some of you may be familiar with my typical home screen layout and custom wallpapers that I make on my PC. Well, I'm now experiencing issues with applying wallpapers to my home screen. Everything is slightly off, and not aligned properly. It appears that the phone is "zooming in" the wallpaper as it sets. Like, I'll have a border separating the notification bar area and my home screen but when applying the wallpaper that border is moved further up into the notification area. Like I said, the wallpaper seems to be "zooming in" as I set the wallpaper to my home screen.
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime. 12x12 grid. No dock.
I tried using Apex Launcher and ran into the exact same issue.
I've restarted the launcher. Restarted the phone. Used different photo apps to apply the wallpaper to the home screen. Nothing has fixed this. I'm not sure what else to try. If anyone here has any idea on why wallpapers are distorted (zoomed in a bit) as I apply them to my home screen, please help. Thanks!
ETA: Added two screen shots with a specific wallpaper that I found online to help show you what I'm talking about. When I see the preview of what setting the wallpaper will look like, it doesn't apply that way after setting the wallpaper.
Sweet, baby Jesus! I found the solution!
Please let this be a PSA for everyone who may run into this issue. The culprit was that stupid "Motion Effect" option while using the One UI launcher. You have to make sure when switching back to it from a third party launcher like Nova that you choose the "always" option so that it's your default launcher (stock launcher). Then when you do that and choose to apply a wallpaper, you'll see the "Motion Effect" option right under the image. Uncheck that stupid thing and your wallpapers will not longer "zoom in" like they did before.
Now, everything is lined up as it should!
