[ROM][4/4/12] Ice Cream Senseless v1.1.1 - Droid Incredible Android Development

DISCLAIMER: This rom was NOT created by me. This is 99% the work of 00McD00. Originally this was a personal project, but once other people started showing interest I decided to release it on XDA. I merely de-sensed the rom and updated a few of the images. Full credit goes to 00McD00 for the amazing rom he created for us. If you wish to donate to anyone, donate to 00McD00.

Let me preface this by saying: THIS IS NOT BASED ON ANDROID 4.0...I'm not that good. This is a rom themed to the specifications of ICS and Slate and when I say themed, this thing is DEEP. I feel I can claim with certainty this is the heaviest themed rom out for the Incredible. Take special note of the custom Rosie and all the hidden bits of ICS. Also, this has all of the features which can be found on McSense.
Normal disclaimer about how flashing a rom can be dangerous for your phone and such. Please always perform a backup before flashing any of my work (or anything really). If you some how mess up your phone it's your fault, not mine. You are not allowed to sue me, all you'd get would be student loans anyways.

CHANGELOG
Version 1.1.1
This is mostly a correction update and added some of the things that were missing from the original. As a result, the rom is a little less senseless but the functionality added back makes it worth it. I have some plans/ideas for 1.2 but I can't say when I'll have time to pursue it.
- HTC Music added
- HTC Mail added
- HTC Weather added
- AOSP Deskclock added
- Updated Gapps
- Volume rocker music skip baked in
- Browser fixed
THANKS
-Ultra HUGE thanks to 00McD00 for the creation of this rom. This is by far my most ideal Droid Incredible UX.
-HUGE Thanks to Jermaine for giving me some tips on how to fully de-sense and for creating In-sensitive Minimalist which I used as a guide for this rom.
-Thanks to TokedUp for testing!
ISSUES
- Choosing "MMS" from the Share menu won't actually add the image to the message. Add it from within the messaging app.
Download Ice Cream Senseless v1.1.1
Download Mods for this rom HERE.
Email.APK Attached - AOSP Email in case you do not like the sense one. Push it to system/app using root explorer/ES File explorer (with root explorer option enabled) and change the permissions to rw-r--r--.
Hope you all enjoy this as much as I do!

nice
thank you. Been using the original version and I can only imagine this will be even better. I am gonna wait awhile til ICS has had time to get right. I'll stick with this because I know everything works and it looks great.

Cool man great idea!
What camera is this rom using? Does the lockscreen have app shortcuts?

broken dl link

Link has too much traffic. Damn! I should have stayed up ;(

Awesome! Thanks Div033!
Looking forward to downloading and installing this as soon as we get a new DL link up!

It uses the lockscreen from Ice Cream Sense, so no app shortcuts. In the screenshots above I'm using widgetlocker which I highly recommend. It's a paid app but it's quality. The camera is stock HTC camera.

This is odd... Can anyone confirm a successful flash? Also, are you wiping system and boot from Mounts and Storage in CWM? I notice in your sig you're using 3.0.0.8, might help to have the latest CWM.

Uploading to Multiupload is borked, which is why I used dropbox... stupidly, because I guess only 82 people can download before they cut me off. I'm re-uploading to sendspace right now.
I'll have a new link soon!

New link is up! If anyone has any hosting suggestions (seeing that multiupload doesn't work) please inform me

Flashing this now. Thanks Div033!
What is everyone's thoughts about kernels? Should we use the stock kernel on this? I had been using Tiny's kernel on Ice Cream Sense.

Downloaded this morning and just loaded on the phone. So far so good . will play a bit and report back
Used Tb to reinstall apps and worked fine

Re downloaded.... Installed perfectly. This is just what I've been looking for. Thank you!

Working great.. can anyone recommend a good email app for connecting to my work exchange server?
Also, is it possible to remove adw launcher and the stock messaging app since I use Go Launcher and Go SMS?

Has been running smoooooth as it should. Thanks

Yeah it runs great. Is there anyway to add the htc mail app back in? I tried using k9-mail but for some reason it will not connect to my work exchange server.

[THEME][1/10][CWM3]Mysterious Beast - BlackFroyo port + Customizations v1.1

:[size=+3]Mysterious Beast[/size]::[size=+2]A Collaboration between Thomasskull666 and Mysteryemotionz[/size]:
A mix of popular themes/customizations bundled into a visually pleasing package.
Introducing the Mysterious Beast theme:
Based off of the BlackFroyo port for the Vibrant located here made by Samcrow
Combines many elements from Emotionless Beast including 3G icons, status bar pulldown icons, skinned Swype.apk, branding change (courtesy of Mysteryemotionz), and 1% battery mod.
Lots of customizations by me, detailed below.
android.policy.jar courtesy of Dreamsforgotten
This originally started as a port of the BlackFroyo theme that was ported for the Vibrant, but eventually transformed into something much more than that. After having some discussions with mysteryemotionz, we decided to use this as a base for the next edition in the "Beast" line of themes. After getting lots of useful add-ons from mystery, I started to do custom modifications on the theme myself. As well as changes to the framework, I also themed several system apps to make them fit the theme better. Below is a list of apps themed:
Browser.apk
Vending.apk (Black Market theme)
Mms.apk (No-bubble Mms, courtesy of keysoh2 located here
Contacts.apk
Swype.apk (Thanks to mysteryemotionz for this!)
DialerTabActivity.apk
Google Search Widget app
Samsung Program Monitor widget (Transparent background)
YouTube.apk
Completely customized TouchWiz30Launcher.apk, with changed homescreen icons and removed app drawer icon backgrounds
Gmail.apk (Icon) NOTE: Attached to this post is the working Gmail.apk taken from the Bonsai ROM from Mammon88. Just flash like usual on top of this if you experience FC with the Gmail app.
Settings.apk (Power Controls widget themed as well as Settings menu)
And here is a list of the customization made by myself to the original theme:
Custom Status Bar background and full pulldown
Modified Mms icons
Lots of buttons
Too many more to list...
And now without further ado, here are the mirrors. There are two versions for you to download, one including the custom transition animations by [email protected] located here, and the other without the animations.
This was designed around the ACS DK28 ROM created by k0nane and located here. Many of the apks in this theme were taken from the ROM. I cannot guarantee that this will work on other ROMs, mostly because I don't know what they have modified. I take no responsibility for what happens after you download this theme, the flashing process is in YOUR hands and you are the only one to be held responsible in the very rare event that something goes wrong.

Just so you guys know, this isn't compatible with Mammon's Bonzai ROM v1.0.1 - I got a huge stack of force close messages immediately upon boot that I couldn't get out of.
I did see that the vanilla lock screen is on there though - did you guys fix the problem with it returning to the TW lock screen when a message is received?
Thanks for the heads up.i was getting ready to flash it..currently on bonsai...would've been pissed...

I didn't even know this was an issue, but I just tried and it seems to stick to the AOSP lockscren. This was done by Dreamsforgotten, the resident theming guru if you will lol.
As for the Bonzai ROm, I have not ever flashed it so I can't guarantee compatibility. Try removing the "app" folder in the .zip file to see if it is an apk causing the issue.

That's worth a shot. Will try that now.
Nice. I am really liking this theme.
Running with no problems on EE rom.
Deleting the system/app folder worked, no more FC's on Bonzai v1.0.1
BTW since you have the only 100% working AOSP lock screen for DK28, could you post a non-themed version if you get a chance? That would be quite handy to have

Excellent, glad that did the trick, but now your missing out on all the themed apps lol. If you get a chance, I mean if you really have nothing better to do lol, try flashing the apps in the app folder 1 by 1 to see which one/s causes the issue. Tedious, I know no worries if you don't feel like it.
The AOSP lockscreen is controlled by android.policy.jar located in /system/framework. The images themselves are in framework-res.apk, so inserting this into a non-themed ROM would give you just the stock AOSP lockscreen. The modified android.policy.jar is in my .zip, and you are more than welcome to place this in a .zip file of your choice in /system/framework, which will give the AOSP lockscreen on basically any theme/ROM.

Excellent - I suspected the image files were separate but didn't want to start talking out of my you-know-what, thank you for explaining what files I need for the lock screen. I'll be happy to test the apps tomorrow and will report back. So I should just make a flashable zip for each indivdual app and flash through Clockwork, or is there a more efficient way like using root explorer to put them each in the app folder?

Very strange - when I installed the apps one-by-one using Root Explorer, I had no FC's except for GMail. My GMail is v2.3.2 and the themed Gmail is v2.3 - could that cause it to FC? I tried clearing data on GMail and it didn't help. Updating the app worked, but then of course it's no longer themed.

Do not install themes over the top of GummyJAR 2.5 unless they were made for 2.5, you will get stuck in a bootloop if you do
Note: GummyJAR 2.5 can be installed over the top of 2.1
GummyJar is built for and only tested on 2.3.320/340 based phones.... If you are running 2.3.15 you might have issues Don't worry D2users you are good
GummyJAR is an AOSP like rom, yes it is based off of a moto rom (2.3.340)
99% of all apps were compiled by me from source (a few needed to be there from moto... like three or so provider.service apps)... This is a first and I was able to accomplish this though modifying the framework in both cvpc's and cyanogenmod's source. All source changes will be available to anyone who requests them after GummyJAR is released.... So yes this work will work its way into other Blur based ROM's
The look and and feel of this rom is AOSP + Gingerbread with a few tweaks If you are a themer and would like to release themes for my rom PM me...
GummyJAR is really as close to AOSP as we are going to get until cvpcs and Matt get things figured out and the bugs cleared up!!!
Thanks:
Thanks to Droid2169 for his patience with me when I needed help or just a question answered. GummyJAR will also be using his busybox and script which is greatly appreciated!

when your all done, could you please post up and let me know how this compares to Apex?
I've been eying up this, plus Obsidian (whenever it's completely finished) and I'd like to know a "real world" opinion on how these roms perform vs a slightly blurry rom like ApeX
Just wanna know if it's really worth the hassle of switching ROMs

Watching it boot up as we speak.
I've decided that switching ROMs isn't that big of a hassle with Titanium Backup. I mean it'll take 20 minutes or so to get everything set up like I like, but it should be worth it. Check back in a little bit, and I'll let you know what I think. Should be awesome .
Hey Kejar,
I have suggestion. How about including the new swype with next build. It plays pretty nice with Gummy and Rubix. I have been using it for a while now but every time I have to do those hacking to install it. Its better than the original one so I guess no harm in putting it in by default
Installing new yummy gummy as I type and it just booted
OOh yea, rotary lock screen and music control working gr8
diggin it.
Installed right on top of rubix 1.9.5 no prob so far
So far I am completely loving it. However, I'm having an issue:
When I first installed the ROM, my background was the same as the one I had on ApeX - this is because I have the background on my SD Card. Not sure how it carried over since I wiped data/cache, but whatever. Now when I try to change the background, it won't change. What should I do?
Also, how do you replace the 3 dock icons at the bottom?
how does this compare to fission? thanks

GummyJAR comes with the very basic Launcher2 launcher.. I do it this way with the expectation that people will find and install their favorite launcher such as ADW or LauncherPRO from the market.. I want to keep GummyJAR out of that decision making

first thing i did when i got ApeX 1.3.0 was reinstall the messaging app.
also what camera app is running?
The AOSP camera app sucks giant balls compared to the Blur camera

Everything is ASOP - including the camera. That reminds me of another Blur feature I liked - the gallery.

I seem to be having a problem with Facebook integrating with my contacts. I have the settings inside the Facebook app correct, but it still isn't syncing information and won't let me link contacts with Facebook accounts. Was that a blur thing?

you will need to download the facebook app. After the install is complete the first time you log in,the app will ask if you want to sync all/existing etc.... contacts. just make your selection and give it 30 min (may take longer if you have a ton of friends on facebook) to get updated all the way..
Just tested everything and all good. I even just got the (Nexus S) Nexus LWP running, and OCed to 1.2GHz.

Still not working like it did before :/ I guess it was a blur feature. Does AOSP give you the ability to link Facebook Contacts with Google Contacts?

To ensure complete compatibility, this is now a full aosp build compiled from jt1134's source . For anyone interested, my overlay vendor for royalbread is available on github.
As far as installation is concerned.....if you are already running aosp there should be no need to wipe. Flash rom then flash the themed gapps package below. If you are coming from a touchwiz based rom you should follow standard procedure - wipe data/cache, flash rom, install one of jt's kernels from here, and install themed gapps package below.
For those of you wondering why I chose to follow OMJ's lead and include a themed full build/rom, my answer is simple.....compatibility. I found a couple of issues when flashing the previous hack-theme by itself over different flavors of vanilla froyo (i.e. nextheme). Those issues no longer exist. This should make your life and my life much easier.
As for the theme itself.....in my mind it is pretty much complete. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, however, feel free to submit them below.
***I have no interest in making a touchwiz version of this theme, but if anyone else would like to feel free to have at it.***
Update v4
- Added rotary/tab lockscreen toggle to Spareparts. You can now toggle the lockscreens without the need to reboot. Credit to cvpcs from ccroms for the base code. BIG thanks to jt1134 for helping me locate a couple of pesky typos in my code that were messing up the compile. EDIT: moved rotary toggle to the top of the extras menu in SpareParts which is probably where I should have put it to begin with (see pic above).
- Tab answer for incoming calls is now the default, but I have included a Phone.apk below with rotary answer for those that prefer it. Just adb push to /system/app or move with a file manager.
- Thank god I have the day off tomorrow because I stayed up way too late tonight working on this.
Update v3.5
- Added an alternate tab unlock version for those that prefer it over the rotary (like myself). Phone.apk also modded to use tab controls for incoming calls on that version. BTW: the alternate version maintains previous cm features added by jt1134 (i.e. music controls on lockscreen & menu button unlock option in spare parts). No need to worry about that.
Update v3 (3/6/11)
- Assigned reboot option its own image so that it no longer defaults to use the power off image.
- Removed 'Verizon Wireless' text on lockscreen and statusbar expanded. Replaced with theme name.
- Themed pretty much every appwidget that comes stock (i.e. deskclock, voicesearch, geniewidget, calendar provider, etc.).
- A few more image changes that I can't remember atm. Now to focus on merging updates with SunnyBread vendor.
Update v2 (3/4/11)
- Cleaned up a few images framework-res.apk.
- Edited progress_horizontal.xml to include the rich blue of the theme (it was a tad too light imo).
- Uploaded overlay vendor to my github for easy upkeep.
Credits
- jt1134 - we would be aosp-less without him.
- OMJ - for the gingerbread overlay which is the base for mine. His guide on compiling from source was also very helpful.
- sonnysekhon - grabbed a few images from his nexus s theme.

[Theme] [AOSP] Honeycomb - Lense Lockscreen Added (5 Locks) [v1.5] [3/28]

Installation
This is a full aosp build and not just a theme. It is compiled from jt1134's source and is essentially a themed version of his vanilla froyo with a couple of additional mods by me (i.e. 5 locks, vvm providers, etc). It should go without saying that this is not a theme for eb01/tw based roms.
As far as installation is concerned....If you are already running aosp there should be no reason to wipe. Flash rom then flash themed google apps package below. If you are coming from a touchwiz based rom you should follow standard procedure. Wipe data/cache, flash rom, flash one of jt's kernels from here, and flash themed google apps package below.
Now that we have that out of the way, how bout some screenies.....

Features
- All the goodies from jt1134's aosp build
- Stock honeycomb ui that get's about as close to the real thing as possible (all the way down to the horizontal progress bars).
- All stock apps, app icons, and widgets have been themed to replicate the look of honeycomb.
- Toggle tab, rotary, 4tab, and rotary revamped lockscreens at your convenience in Spareparts.
- Options to hide directional arrows & unlock by pulling down on rotary lockscreen.
- Toggle visual voicemail provider defaults via call settings.
Update v1.5 3/28/11
- added Lense lockscreen and a better version of rotary revamped. This now gives the user 5 lockscreen options (tab, rotary, 4tab, rotary revamped, & lense). <--- cm code
- a few more updates to SpareParts to disable features depending on state of the lockscreen.
Update v1.4 3/25/11
- added 4tab and rotary revamped lockscreen options (cm code). These are toggled by choosing the custom app starter via SpareParts (see pic below).
- added options to hide rotary directional arrows & unlock by pulling down on rotary style (cm code).
- above options are configurable via SpareParts. Pic ----> http://db.tt/ClalMxp
- cleaned up the look of SpareParts to remove some of the clutter and tidy things up a bit.
- Few more minor image changes in framework-res.
Update v1.3 3/18/11
- updated with the latest features of jt1134's 0.9.3 build.
- added configurable visual voicemail providers option in call settings. Pic ------> https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10166395/snap20110321_110901.png . This strayed a bit from jt1134's approach, but he deserves a lot of credit for his gvm commits in contacts.apk which gave me a head start for adding the others.
- updated themed gapps with latest versions. removed themed facebook and twitter because they are updated every couple of weeks with newer versions. It's not worth it for me to try to keep them updated with themed versions.
- unblackedout the notification ticker in the statusbar as requested by several peeps.
- a couple more image changes in framework-res.apk.
Update v1.2 3/16/11
- resyned with jt's repo to include the new features of his 0.9.2 build (i.e. haptic feedback, etc.)
- remapped the voicemail button to default to google voicemail. This is now included in the build. Added optional download for anyone who would like to keep the stock configuration for some reason (*89).
Update v1.1 3/15/11
-added rotary answer phone.apk for those that may prefer it. adb push to /system/app or move to the directory with a file manager. also added the honeycomb ic_jog images that i forgot to include.
-fixed up a couple of app widgets that needed different font colors for legibility.
Credits
- jt1134 for the awesome aosp build and a lot of assistance/advice.
- omj for inspiring me to theme from source.
- haxzamatic for alot of the images. Most, whether they know it or not, are indebted to him for his initial port of the honeycomb theme found here.

Flashing the gapps zip caused problems for me last time I switched from AOSP 0.8.1 to SC2.9. Here's the procedure I recommend:
1. Copy gapps0312.zip to your SD card's download folder using a root-enabled file manager
2. Download Dual File Manager from the market (it doesn't appear to be root-enabled, hence the first step).
3. Open gapps0312 in Dual File Manager (no need to unzip - Dual File Manager will treat the zip file as a folder).
4. Go to system/apps/ (the one in the zip file, not the one on your phone ;-))
5. Select the apps you want to install. Dual File Manager will automatically try to install it.
6. If the app works on SC2.9, the "open" button will be enabled on the "installation complete" screen.

I noticed you used the old data bars but new wifi and battery, any reason for that?
I didn't like the way the new data bars so closely resemble the wifi bars. I like to be able to tell them apart. If I get enough requests I will gladly change them out, though.

Wipe EVERYTHING before installing, or you WILL have problems.
Give the ROM time to run, before judging it. It will be slow to start, but speed will increase as things settle in. Wont take long, maybe a few minutes!
As for the Market, you need to sign into your Google account FIRST, and then the icon will appear.

Wondering the same thing. Has anyone tried this rom?

Thanks for this awesome rom. Miui got boring after a while. I've been using it since it was released for us Droid x users.
Thanks for nice work but I have a question, what about the camera as I test in CM7 is too bad ? did you solve it in your ROM?
