Quickest way to root a JVD Gingerbread rom?

Preferably without installing a new kernal.

The FW Version is 2.3.3
The Baseband is I9000NEJV5
The Build is GINGERBREAD.NEJVD
Kernal is 2.6.35.7-I9000NEJVD-CL183009 [email protected] #2

You can, but you have to flash the JQ1 stock-safe v5 from team overcome, then you can flash any gingerbread rom/kernel after.
