Screen Orientation Problem in Dead Space (ICS 4.0.3 Team EOS) - Xoom Themes and Apps

Recently I installed the game Dead Space in my Xoom running ICS 4.0.3 (Team EOS), but the game is not opening in landscape mode, it is running in portrait mode.
I downloaded other versions (cracked too) and I cleared the cache, but the problem persist.
This game has been executed in old roms (HC 3.2) and worked well.
Compatibility problem or a bug? Can it be fixed?

I have the same problem, how do we fix it? Is it running well on stock ICS?

Really no one has this problem?

This game works fine on Tiamat ROM 3.x, but the problem with orientation screen is not fixed in ICS 4.0.3 EOS Team.. :-(
Must be a correction for this problem. I am searching, but nothing yet.

Its not a problem with the roms, its a problem with ICS in general. There are a few threads discussing this. The game needs to be updated to support ICS on tablets.

Correct. It was working fine on honeycomb. On all versions of ICS, it is screwed up (only in portrait/force closes/etc). Thus, one can conclude that its an issue with the app itself, not whatever rom you're on or the tablet itself.
It really shouldn't be a surprise. Most of the "high" end games are/were broken with ICS. GTA3 needed an update in order to get ICS support.

Same pb here... Love that game, hope they fix it soon.

When I try to buy this from market, it says its incompatible with the xoom anyways... Almost all EA games say that they are incompatible with the xoom.

Already completed the game twice (one time in only one day XD)! Now I'm playing on PC Dead Space 2, if you liked the Android one, you will surely love the PC one , it's even scarier (Evil Laugh). Anyway, when you complete you will have a surprise in the game
Is it really working good? Because I don't want spend R$13,00 (+-US$7) on a game that doesn't work (I used to play the cracked one)...

Its a real gem of game, gameplay is very smooth graphics are sweet, and I swear its scareier than the deadspace 1 2, in a dark room alone. Pc versions didn't bother me to much I guess.

Devs! ICS SDK avaliable..try to port to our OB?

http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/10/18/android-4-0-ice-cream-sandwich-sdk-and-adt-14-released/
sdk is not source code
SDK = Software Development Kit, not the Source Code !
This is tool for software developers that are making apps/gamez for ICS.
i know..but devs try to make it work on SE x10
and when i got zte blade, on modaco the devs ported 2.3 from sdk
Bless, we've been stuck waiting for 2.3 for nearly half year, with no visible signs when is that gonna happen. Probably ICS in two years time.
On the matter as started above S SDK is not source code.

Don't count on it. I guess our best bet is Cyanogen. I don't think LG will do it.
It might just be me, but unless apps start requiring ICS there's no real benefit to it. It doesn't seem to do that much that can't be achieved otherwise. I actually just switched from a Gingerbread phone to a 2.2 OB and I don't miss anything. Reading about 4.0 doesn't give me the impression that existing phones will be so much better with it.
It would obviously be nice to have ICS and I would definitely flash an ICS rom to my OB.

It matters not. The software itself wont eat much. That 16gb internal is for smoother operation. System not reading an SD Card which would be slow. That's why they gave it a large internal memory as possible.

Yup. Phone 's hardware is no problem. We have a decent processor and RAM and ROM space. So ice cream sandwich is surely to run on optimus black. Unlike other phones such as Sony, s new devic es xperia mini and pro and neo etc which have just 320mb internal memory.
Although since LG will take too many time to update we will surely need some developer 's support S soon as possible.
Don't care i'm expecting miui ice cream

I don't think OB will be updated to ICS because were not even Gingerbread yet. But my hope is with Marquee because it's currently 2.3 so next update is certainly ICS then just port to our OB.
Similar to what happend to my old Samsung i780 where only its twin brother EPIX got updated to the latest version thankfully some good guys here at XDA ported it.

Droid 4 ICS leaked - does that help us?

I see that ICS for the Droid 4 has been released - which I guess leaves only the Bionic that hasn't got the update. I wonder if anything in this leaked version will help resolve the final issues with ICS on the Bionic...???
Wont help us.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
really?
yeah we won't get much out of the leaked ICS versions for other devices. We need an ICS kernel, which thanks to the wonderful locked bootloader won't happen until we have an official release (or leak) from Moto
*praying for a leak!*
If you want to take a look at the Droid 4 ICS leak you can download it here
I hope this happens soon..

You're missing the fact that an ICS kernel hasn't even been built for the Bionic. That it's incredible that ICS ROMs even run on the Bionic in the first place because it's booting up with a Gingerbread kernel.
ICS has so many things overhauled under the hood, including new aspects of kernel operation that got stacked on top of what was already there. Because of the locked bootloader in the Bionic, the kernel cannot be modified.
Bionic ICS ROMs are running with limited functionality (such as hardware acceleration) because not everything in an ICS kernel is present.

Everything you just said is technically correct; however I have been running ICS alongside GB for over four months now and have not toggled back to my GB rom in over 2 months. ICS, even with it not being "official", just runs 5x better than GB.
This is pretty much the summary of how people feel who are running Android 4.x on their Bionics. I do not know anyone who has tried the Axi0m ICS roms and then switched back to GB except for people who REALLY have to have HD video recording.

Anything that requires graphics acceleration.
I switch back more for the bluetooth issues that we're still having w/ ICS over everything else. I use bluetooth devices quite regularly, and on ICS it's simply too buggy still for me to use it as a daily driver.

find a fully working version of ICS for the IncS then we'll think about JellyBean.
ICS been out since last year, only until recently we've seen some better roms on xda, i'd give it till next yr for JellyBean if anyone is still developing for the IncS then.

I think it's strange we dont have an official CM9 nightlies for our phone
there's loads of unpopular **** phones that have it ...
I'm guessing we're still struggling with hacking the proprietary camera and graphics drivers in our phone. The only 99% stable ICS roms i've found are the Sense 4.0 roms (and even those FC when trying to take pictures at max res). I much prefer AOSP, but it crashes too often when using graphics intensive applications.

Samsung galaxy tab 1 and 2 has official CM9 and both don't have ICS sources
the 7" tab1 is gingerbread oficially, but remarkably everything works in CM9
The 10.1 inch tab 2 (GT-P7100) is honeycomb and in CM9 the camera doesn't work
So your statement seems invalid ...
Am I the only one working on this, or does anyone want to join me on IRC? Dev help only, there won't be any test files or anything to flash, so there is no use saying "Yeah I'll come in!" if you just want a file to install, I need someone who can help with making the right edits to the init files, cause after 5 versions I can't get past the bootsplash.

[Q] ICS - is it worth the upgrade?

Hi Guys,
I want some feedback regarding ICS update. Is it worth it? I am on Rogers (Canada). Any one experience ghost call/sms? How stable is it?
I would appreciate any feedback?
Thanks

From my experience MMS sucked, the camera was buggy, and there's a lot of Korean bits left in it. I think GB Prometheus ROM has it beat by a long shot to be honest. If you like working on Android you'll enjoy it cause you will be doing a lot of it.

It charges the phone a lot faster, battery's charge lasts longer than before while not using the phone.
Once you have flashed the baseband with the fastboot procedure (because once you have flashed the ICS rom you lose the GB download mode) and once you have deleted all the Korean T, Nate and SKT bloatware, it runs pretty great...HOWEVER!!!
You ARE NOT going to be able to adjust the brightness while watching 3d videos or movies while using the stock player...
You ARE NOT going to be able to use the 3D Converter as you used to with GB because IT DOES NOT TRANSFORM ANY GAMES TO 3D!!!
The CAMERA PROBLEM!!!
Some games are not running like they should (ocassional slowdowns not present while using GB) even if they are in 2D and you have most of the telephone's ram free.
Everything else appears to be working fine.
So far I've had great results with wifi, sms, and phone on straight talk in USA. Wish I could say for Rodgers. There is a thread here that discusses working basebands for the O3D and the Thrill. you should check it out.

I have not found any solutions as yet, I think it is related to some service getting killed or something related to memory or IncS hardware limitation. It is quite possible that it is issue with games (due to above) because I remember testing touches with YAMTT app and touches worked fine, probably you can check it for your phone.
As a workaround, I lock-unlock again and see if it works. If it is still not working, long press home key to get app running history, remove that game and open it again (restarting game ). I remember on rare occasions I have to restart my phone.
P.S.
I am not expert, we have many experts here in this forums, so few of above may be incorrect

Yes, same here, its irritating. Have you tried SVHD 2.1 ROM with kangaroo v19 kernel, I am getting the best performance from my phone amongst the ROMs that I have personally tried. At this moment I am not playing games heavily, but have not faced this issue in svhd ROM. I would suggest that you keep ROM for 2-3 days to conclude if that ROM works for you (like performance, battery etc)
Meanwhile let's wait for solutions from experienced user or expert.
