Is there any way that a custom rom could change my phone version like
GT-S5570 to GT-S5570L? Because i saw now that my phone is s5570l after i installed chocobread v2.
Or i must have no worries because when i would try to flash the stock rom will go back to s5570?
please help or any method to go back to normal version
@Chunkflip
Dont worry the L on GT-S5570L only means that latin firmware was used as base for the rom! If you flash a nother firmware that isnt latin the the L will go away!!

If your new firmware is Stock firmware(released by samsung), you can flash with Odin(dont select reset partition in odin)
OR you can connect to Kies n update it.
OR Go to setting - about phone - software update, check if update available OTA, if available, you will get notice n update from there(easiest n fastest way)
Hello.
One week ago,I was forced to flash custom ROM,cause something goes wrong and I didn't have backup. However,I want back the stock ROM. Where can I download it? I don't want to install Kies to my laptop, because normally I don't need it. I am able to flash the ROM using CWM.

Hi
Using CM7.2 RC5.3, my baseband is XXKPK and I need to change it to XXKPD, where can I find this and how can I install this.
any help?
Find it on droidangel blogspot bro.. I don' t have the link but I have downloaded from there before. It's just one package. ;D If you want to use kpd as baseband, you have to redo everything. Flash one package, cwm then cm7. Backup your apps via titanium so it would be easier to restore.

Insteuctions on how to install one through odin is also there. Best of luck!

its not available anywhere, tried droidangel blogspot as well, cant find it anywhere..
I got another Mini as everybody here on the forum advised that there should be somehting worng with the phone, as the microphone was taking low input with only CM7.2 ROM but it was fine with enamon roms....
Got it changed, got a new one, installed CM7.2 still the same problem...
as advised by expert I am now trying to change the babseband to XXKPD but now cant find it anywhere.

at sammobile and droid angel site also there is no XXKPD version.
Yes there is DXKPD, now my phone originally is with 3 uk, rooted and flashed all ROMs emanon, cm7, do you think this DXKPD would not brick my phone if used?
thanks

I see. I did not know that you had 3 uk. Don't flash it with the one I gave. Maybe you can try flashing other stock firmware for your region and see if it helps. try S5570XWKQG for UK. It's found there at droidangel. I tried searching for official 3 uk but found nothing..
well i'm a noob, i have a question that may sound stupid but, if i update my Note with the german offial ICS, would i be able to grab the OTAs is future? im from India...
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Ya sure u will be able to do that. I assume if u are going to flash german rom u must be using odin. So in near future when indian ics rom will come u flash that one through odin or if the update for the german rom comes u can flash that one too through odin. But with german rom cannot be updated vai kies. Any how odin is much better.

You don't need root to flash with PC Odin.
Hey guys I'm trying to help restore my uncle's phone back to stock but I'm not sure what I should be using to flash over it. Right now it's running Slim Bean 4.2.2 (Build 8). He bought this phone second hand so I'm not sure where this phone is from originally.
The baseband says N7000XXLR1 and I couldn't find that anywhere, would I be able to just flash the official XXLT9 4.1.2 firmware over it using Odin?
You can flash any rom you like, but might be better to stick with one for your region.

You will need to do data wipe. Do it while you have Cwm recovery. And then boot into download mode and flash the stock rom. This may save you a factory reset after flashing.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda premium
Alright thanks guys. So to clarify I can flash any of the official 4.1.2 firmware and it should work fine (I won't have to worry about the baseband)? I was planning on flashing the unbranded stock rom I found here.
Yes u can flash the unbranded rom
Its latest xxlt9
N its unbranded u don't have to bother for baseband..
U can flash n go on..
