Hello,
Each time i want to connect to my wifi with my G Note, i must enter the key. As it is a long key, it's boring and not useful. I haven't found anything on the Internet or in the forum. Do someone knows the tip or an app to memorize this key? Thanks in advance.
should remeber it, sounds like something might be corrupt on the file that saves this info
Thanks. In that case, which file is it and is it possible to replace it?
backup your files and hard reset back to factory settings and see if it does it then, it might be someapp you have also installed
Thanks Richy, I finally found what was wrong.... it was me! To connect, I clicked on the ID of my wifi lan in the list, and to disconnet i did the same. I received then a dialog box asking if I want to "forget it" or "cancel". (not sure for the translation by forget it, my android is not in English). Now i know that the "forget it" was about the key. And I discovered that to connect or disconnect it's better to scroll down the notification bar...

Hi guys, I am having some little problems with my Xda2i as following.
1. I use button lock to stop using the camera button (as I always accidentally touch it then camera starts, many time I open camera without notice for long time till my battery almost gone!!) Every time I soft reset, it always turn to defalut mode.
2. Also the same happen with "today". I show some items such as Worldmate. When soft reset, it disappears (though I ticked to show it always)
3. Favorites network also the same, ticked it then changed after reset.
Could anybody please help me?.
Many many thanks in advance..
do what i have done removed the camera from my start up prgrams and allocated the button to none that way it can't activate
as for the others i'm not to sure ,i'm sure some1 else will be able to help
Sounds like somehow the registry has become read only. Have a look in the startup folder and see if there any programs in there that shouldn't be running. Also has this started after some program has been installed?
Hi Pug, checked my startup and found below program lists
-camera_detect
-checkautorun
-clear_notify
-IA_CID_start
-PHM Traylaunch
-PhotocontactPro
-Pocketnavy
-poutlook
-RunBT
-spb GPRS monitor
-STK
It seems like you doubt, it happens after program installation.
Any more advice?
Many many thanks
I don't doubt you at all, just trying to help you solve this.
PHM hasn't got a registry restore feature has it? If it has try disabling it. I don't use it so I don't know.
Don't know what that Pocket Navy is so can't comment on that.
If you delete Camera_Detect you can assign the camera button to something else if you want and the button assignment will survive a soft reset.
Sorry for my aweful english, Pug.
This problem wa before PHM installed, it should be ok (anyway I am not knowledgable to know if it has registry or not. I am too new hands)
Pocketnavy is "CloseAll" I like it more because it has window to see running programs and can select to close which one. THe most important is it free.
I will try to fix it as you recommend. Very appreciated your time to help.
Thanks again
Does anyone know how to change the bluetooth name of the phone without installing a different ROM?
Im using kaiser tweak at the moment but it doesnt have an option to rename bluetooth...
Thanks!
start, settings, system tab, about, device ID tab. Looks like there are some other options for you. It's a real shame that you wasted your time waiting on someone to reply to your question. If you would have searched the words "change bluetooth name" you would have found.

Hi, I've got Himalaya with ToFClock's WM6, but I forgot my password it's a 5digit number. Is there way to bypass or crack it somehow? I can't hard reset it cause there's some very important data for me
Thanks
Lukas
Sorry for my bad english..
i think none, hard reset is the only option, had this problem once and there was the absence of replies, so i guess there is no solution to this. there is a password hint though, if you used it.
Well, I'm not sure this is the right way to do it, but cleaning the registry hive helped me alot, and it does not erase data. Just press the camera and the record buttons, reset, and hold them until it show you boot options. Using the same buttons, you should be able to select "yes" or "no" for each setting. Just choose "Clean Registry Hive" "Yes", and make sure the two others are set to "no" (especially "format storage" ). Then just press "enter". You device should start, with an empty windows registry, that means empty settings too. You will then have to configure your phone, but your contacts and messages and data will still be there.
@Ukii hope you learned that making backups is important?
@paulpax thanks for the invitation to your site but I'm not yet impressed, success.
Hi,
I'm having this problem: At home I work with WLAN all the time, so WLAN is enabled. Later, when I take my Xda Diamond as navigation device (with TomTom), whenever I pass a hotspot or private WLAN, a dialog box pops up and a nasty sound plays, telling me that WLAN networks are found and asking to connect. I simply want to avoid that dialog. Is it possible to tell the Diamond to ONLY connect to known WLAN networks (the one at home) and to be quiet if any other network is in range?
Sure, I could simply turn off WLAN whenever I leave home, but often I forget that, and I don't want to fiddle with the settings while driving...
Thanks!
you can turn off the notification when a new network is detected. just look in settings>sounds & notifications.
Dave, exactly what I was looking for! I just missed the point that you can change more than the standard ring tone here... Thanks!
Try This
If your still having problems, try this.
Here is a program i made that fixes this problem for the HTC touch pro, let me know if it works on your device.
On my device at least, after I disable the notifications they come back automatically every time I soft reset. This will fix that issue

You were right, after soft reset the notifications came back. Actually I solved that by setting a registry key in a MortScript:
RegWriteDWord( "HKCU", "ControlPanel\Notifications\{DDBD3B44-80B0-4b24-9DC4-839FEA6E559E}", "Options", 0 )
I guess your *.exe does the same?

Interesting... how do you launch the script? Do you put a shortcut to it in the startup folder?

Exactly. After installing MortScript, it's enough to put a shortcut to my init.mscr script into the \windows\AutoStart folder.
Yep, that's all my program is doing.
When connecting to a PC, the Diamond asks what you would like to do through a pop-up window. It also allows you to select a check box that says do not ask again or something like that. I checked that box by mistake and was wondering what the registry value was to make it ask again, because now I am limited to just accessing my storage card from my PC. Thanks for any help in advance!
Sorry guys. Found the solution in the forums. Just had to use the right search terms. I can't figure out how to delete my post. I'll leave it to the mods. Thanks.
