For the sake of helping anyway, just flash a stock kernel, and CWM recovery will be gone.

I have just installed ClickWorkMod Recovery Version 4.0.0.2 on my revo. I booted in recovery and making a backup on my SD card.
I'm really sorry to ask but i thought I will boot to a new rom and use the improve features where do I get the rom from is it a part of of ClockWordMod application?
Also once I will get how do I boot to the improve rom and if I want to go back to stock how do I do this?
Thanks
The decrapped rom thread should answer all of those questions it isn't hard

Im stuck at FastBoot mode. Please help!
You should read the cmw ported to lg revolution 4G thread. It has a link to a post that explains how to restore the recovery img and boot into it from an adb prompt. Once in recovery you should be able to restore your backup or the original lg rom. You can also check the irc #lgrevolution on freenode.net to see if any devs are available to help.

Just a heads up, questions should go in general. Forum mod will move it anytime. Just a heads up.

WHERE DID I GO WRONG? what do i need to do before flashing cwm recovery and what do i do after flashing cwm recovery
what is the best rom for my device once i've flashed cmw recovery, i'm new at this stuff so a step by step walk thought would be much appreciated.no rush at the moment still waiting for t-mobile to fix it lol

Hi All,
Iv been looking at These instructions for flashing the latest Cyanogenmod, and it says to install clockwork mod app.

Clockwork mod recovery is a special android recovery that is made esp. for cyanogenmod and rom manager app. This recovery is able to handle flashing of roms, create backup and restore and do many other advance things, which are not possible to do via stock recovery.
If you don't have problem falshing cm7 then, why are thinking too much about installing CWM recovery? I suggest you give it a try and I guarantee that you'll love both clockwork mod recovery and cm7 custom rom. Good Luck! with the flashing.
P.S. DOn't use ROM MAnager with Galaxy Mini.
Thanx guys for the stupid newb questions!!
I successfully rooted my phone no problem at all, while I was on a role I decided to have a go at installing ClockworkMod, following These instructions I downloaded all files ran odin and booted my phone to download mode I connected it, and odin found the phone, so I pressed start and it didnt appear to do anything. The phone didnt reboot and I got no status messages. I followed them exactly.
I might try again tommorow on another PC.
anyone else experienced this?

Maybe the title was misleading as Why Clockworkmod?
Maybe that's why he replied about stock and custom recovery.
But the content in the post was clear, as the OP said about why the CWM app needed for installing ROMs, but the Thread title should be clear enough though, as it should be more like Why Clockworkmod app?
yes thats exactly what I meant coolsandie, and noted I could have worded the thread better. its been a while since iv done the whole forum thing. but, thanx for the tips guys

Always ask question in Q/A section.
hope you are on stock rom, then use http://www.theandroidsoul.com/galaxy-s-gets-official-value-pack-firmware-xxjw4-includes-touchwiz-4/
then for root and recovery use http://www.theandroidsoul.com/xxjw4-root-and-clockworkmod-recovery-for-galaxy-s/
Hey guys, I`ve got a problem with my Galaxy S3 while trying to install clockworkmod recovery. I followed these steps: http://www.androidrootz.com/2012/09/how-to-install-clockworkmod-recovery-on.html . Everything was good until the last step, it whows PASS and my phone should restart, but he still be blocked on downloading screen about 30 mins ago.
What can I do now ?
Go read the sticky thread on how to flash back to stock with Odin.
If you flashed the wrong file, for a different model then you may have hard bricked it.
