If it is a problem with the sd card, dismount and mount the card (format) should fix the problem...
If not, re-flash it.
Bahh! i think i found it!
Peeps... don't disable music player in apps
I'm restored phone to factory... and tested app by app (lot of restarts was here =) and after i disabled music player BANG! reboot was broken.
The bad is if you enable it again - reboot will be still broken ... until new factory recovery.

If you had mentioned in your OP that you were screwing around with the apps then you would have got the correct advice a lot sooner, rather than running around in circles. Next time, please post ALL salient information when you ask for help.

Yea.. but i was not sure ... anyway its happens again... and is completely random =( (so - not app problem)
Sometime "Power of and restart" work OK .. next time no =(
Tried with all versions of Euro-open firmware, restored, factory reset and its same story. Strange is that
phone works just normal when i power-on on button (long hold) boots OK and all functions are OK.
I'm noticed that restart is happen when phone check sdcard (or mount) and checks for media (and just power off).
I removed sdcard but problem is still there =(
Is it possible that maybe heat can course shutdown?
Any ideas?

Its not the heat , unless you keep it in the oven while its off, and the oven must be on...
Downgrade to a earlyer version, v10a or other, then do a factory reset, upgrade to the latest BY WEB!!! root and factory reset again deleting all data.
Should be enough :fingers-crossed:

I'm pretty sure it's not a virus (are there even mobile viruses?) so you should be 50% calmed down now. As for the problem, I've got no idea what's happening, but you should flash a completely stock ROM (without wiping nothing at first) and see if the problem persists. If it does, try factory reseting the newly installed stock ROM and then everything should be OK (however make a backup of all your important data as you'll lose it).

This issue cannot be solved by Reflashing ROM by wiping data (experienced )

i just went through this problem on my bravo so i want to share the solution.
actually i searched the XDA but didnt get the solution.
"think again before going to hard reset or clear cache, there might be some easy ways to get rid of it "
i got this message whenever i receive a phone call.
This error message is a common complaint among Sprint users, but it can easily be removed by taking the following steps:
method #1
1. From the Home screen, hit the Menu key.
2. Tap on Settings.
3. Select Call settings.
5. Select Reject with message.
6. Count how many messages are in this section.
7. Delete them until you have less than five.
After reducing the number of messages to fewer than five, you should be able to receive calls without an error message compelling you to force close the call.
method #2
Something I've also had to do to get the phone working again was going into the 'manage applications' screen and clearing the data for the phone application. This can be accomplished as follows:
From the home screen, press Menu
Tap Settings
Tap Applications
Tap Manage Applications
At the top, tap the All tab
Navigate to and tap your equivalent of the phone app (may be called Phone or Dialer)
Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data as available
Turn your phone off, then back on.
Another means of resolving those app errors, hope this helps!
method #3
didnt work above methods? strange!! hmm
100% solution
1.go into recovery
2. go to wipe/format option
3. clear cache
4. hard reset( not necessary, try only clear cache if works)
5. reboot.

[Q] Xperia SP multitouch problem?

Hey,
I just noticed that when I'm pressing the screen with one finger, then trying to hold another finger while still holding onto the screen, there is a small delay in recognising the 2nd finger...
This only happens after 30 minutes of usage, as the multitouch works just fine for a while after powering up.
The delay is not that much, but is enough to not recognise when I'm simply tapping the screen, which makes it impossible to play games like fifa 14 properly, since I have to hold down the button for a while to have a response...
I'm currently rooted, on stock 12.1.A.1.205, on the stock kernel.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Yeah I also have multitouch problem. Can't play games that require multitouch(fifa,mc5 etc)
I think it is hardware problem
Quick question dude...did you try a factory reset?
I'm thinking of trying it but I don't want to lose my data without fixing it...
Can anyone confirm that this is a hardware problem?
I have the same problem, and I'm sure isn't a hardware problem because it started when I updated the phone to the 12.1.A.1.205 version.
I also have a problem with the back key, it works for a couple of clicks and it stop working until I press the home key. This happens after the update as well, before all has working fine. It's annoying!

I thought I was the only one with the back key problem. The multitouch one I never tested.
This is why I moved to CM11 (also because of ThemeChooser :silly: )

Sorry to ask this, but, what is CM11?
CM11 is a custom ROM (basically a whole new operating system). And it's based on android 4.4.4
I used to be on CM11, it is so good, but I prefer Sony's UI.
Also, thanks for the help. Since this isn't a hardware problem I'll try a factory reset and see what happens...

I don't think factory reset would work because I keep flashing different roms with complete wipe.
Apparently a factory reset didn't help...neither a firmware upgrade...
So it has to be another thing causing it....
Any other ideas?

Bad news with the reset then
I had to reboot my phone in safe mode (I think this is the name in English, "modo seguro" in Spanish) and the multitouch seems that doesn't fail in this mode. So I think is some program that is loaded with a normal boot which is causing the trouble.

Hmm But there are programs that start automatically. I killed every process I don't use, and I'm testing if it works.
I'm fresh out of a factory reset, so I don't really have any apps installed except titanium backup and es file explorer. I also killed every app except the ones that the phone needs to work properly....still no change.
After a random amount of minutes it works fine, without doing anything...
Also a question: How did you test it in safe mode? You can't have your downloaded app on safe mode to test it..

Well safe mode isn't the solution....you can't be onto safe mode for ever...
It's funny cuz the multitouch thing is actually working, but you have to hold the screen to do so not tap it. If u tap it it wont recognise ur finger
Any one got something before I actually give up on this?

The weird thing is that after rebooting from the safe mode to the normal mode and kill every app in execution that I don't use, it works. The multitouch and the back key is working. I have no idea what to think.

Sad news...
After trying everything, from settings to scripts and touch boosting apps, I left my hopes on changing the ROM i use...
I had a stored backup of my 4.3 stock rom in the past. I restored it today and the problem persists...
I also flashed a fresh new build of cyanogenmod 11, which I used in the past aswell. No help...
I can now conclude that this is a hardware problem.
But what I don't understand is...why does this only happen after 30+ minutes of usage of the phone?
I mean it works perfectly fine on games when I start up the phone...
Thanks to everybody for the help...

Seriously annoying problem after lollipop upgrade

I have the HTC one m7,stock/unrooted. Im not sure if this problem is because of a bug or a setting that needs to be changed. When the screen is off I'm somehow able to turn the screen back on by pressing either volume button. This becomes annoying when I have it in my front pocket when I'm working and I take out my phone to check a message and see that the screen was on the whole time. Then when I double tap the home button to see my recent apps, I notice that random apps are open including the camera and sometimes it would call/text random people. If you are wandering how it is sitting while in my pocket, the power button is @ the top,so the only keys being pressed is the volume rocker. Before lollipop I never had this issue. I have already tried a factory reset (not a app issue) and clearing system cache to no avail. Another thing I've noticed I'd when I'm on the home screen with the phone unlocked I'm able to use it in landscape mode. If anyone can give me a permanent solution to this problem I'd greatly appreciate it.
This is very odd since the problems you're telling is actually a feature of some custom roms. I'd suggest you to backup your internal storage and RUU.

Yes but not the one you make on the phone. You download the RUU tool to factory reset the phone, it should fix your problem.

RUU will wipe entire OS and reflash it. Phone factory reset wont work if some of your system files are corrupt or missing. You can find them on android developement section prior to your variant
