will it work. Remember that these sites make you go through a countdown, then click a button that pops up once the timer is done.

I've had some success, if you can grab the file link after the countdown...

Create a hotspot/tether and download through a pc.
Try checking the download outside market in settings

This has actually been happening to me too using the stock browser with MicroMod's AOSP gingerbread build. No idea why it's happening, and the only way to download successfully from these sites is to use the Firefox beta I have on my device.
Changing the out of market setting never worked.

I'm using Google chrome as my main browser. But for adverts and videos it says I do not have a certain plug-in therefore it cannot show the content. What plugin do I need and how do I go about installing it? ..... I guess/assume its Java?

I was a ipad user before I switched to this 7,7 tab and I used to use safari in my ipad, safari had this this reader feature that made reading in websites much easier by cleaning up the page and just leaving the text. Is there anyway to do this in this tab? Hope someone could help

None that I know of yet.

You can try this:
http://my.opera.com/tagawa/blog/readability-for-android
But I would first try the bookmarklets in Android's stock browser, which are linked in the article.

Have you tried this app?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.readability
the downside is you have to select the articles you want to read on mobile on your desktop first.

It work only for those who use ICS
Sent from my Galaxy S4 using XDA Premium
And it's armv7 I think.
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
Yes, its for devices with Android 4.0+ and for ARMv7. It means even if you have ICS, still it won't be supported.
But, if you want a Chrome like interface. Refer this post :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22975893&postcount=9
You will not find Google Chrome to the Galaxy Mini, but it is already Firefox Nightly!
