Hello everyone! I would like to install a rom in my x8 but, having no time to test all the roms, and I would like one that is stable, fast, best play and long battery life.
I saw the topic of rom these five that look very interesting:
- Gingercrutz
- GingerDX
- GingerXperia
- Kuyadroid
- MiniCM7
I have read and reread the various topics of the rom, but they seem to be similar, and I do not know which one to choose between these five.
Among these five who do you recommend? I want a rom that once installed does not have to always update.
Sorry for my English.

Its all up to you which rom you like the most, there is no better rom all roms are good, so its up to decide which rom you like....just try them and see its only 15 minutes to install......
P.S. I like GC7.4 the mmost but its only me

GingerCruzt! Faster than GDX, good battery performance, Xperia look, nice for games!
BTW all those ROMs are stable.

Yes they should....developer of this rom is.busy but when he get some time we will have new version... If you asking me this version is so perfect that it dont need any update....

true but why It usually lags when playing accelerometer games for example abduction 2 ?

[Q] JimdemDroid Tweak + MiniCM7-2.1.7 + nAa-09

Does this tweak still break the WIFI in MiniCM ? I installed it once on my MiniCM and I couldn't connect (WIFI kept resetting), same as some other people here. Now I'm on GingerDX, but I want to go back to previous ROM, hence the question.

Mini cm7 dont have such problem...if you use with nAa kernel

I have to disagree. I tested it twice on 2 different X8 and the problem appears on both. 2 other people posted in the JimemDroid threat that they have the same issue. I'll give it a try again, but I'm quite sure it's gonna be the same as the previous installations.

it depends how you use you phone..
if performance and battery long life the best is the cm7 from mebitek
if tweaks and customization the cm7 from squadzone is for you
if you want smoothness use the emanon rom

There's no 'the best one' I suppose.
Every custom ROM have its own advantages.
Even Stock ROM may be the best for several users...

I agree with you
just try everything, understand everything, then you will find what works best for you.

i prefer to use chocobread for my SGM
I have no problem using it

It's all you no point of creating threads like this.Thanks to developers for creating such roms we must no do a poll or anything it may disturb them

Sorry about that. Right now im using squads and i downloaded all the roms. Im gonna try a rom each day and see what rom suites me.

emanon + squadzone cm7.2
First custom rom i had was emanon v4 then v5 those roms i thought look so cool. Ive been using squadzones cyanogen mod for 2 months and it has so many features its awesome! S2e if u know what that is works flawlessly on cm7 but not so for emanon. Andro-id i hear is another good 1 by tj styles i believe let us know what u think if u try andro-id as i havent googled ant screenshots or anything for it

Now I'm using CM7 from squadzone, but it doesn't mean that it is the best for me.
I agree that every ROM has their own benefit. Just make sure you know what you want to do with ur SGM, and understand what ROM fit with your needs.

I recommand the official CM 7.2 RC1 its whit fewer tweaks but stabil, but 7.2 by squadzone is ok to

Is there anyway to install adobe flash player and make it work on X8/W8 with stock rom(Ecliar) android 2.1 update 1... Please help me....

just for 2.2 and up only... not for eclair

Im sorry but what you want is not be possible with lower android version.
You need to hack that app to make it work

i think u better hack the phone to 2.2 or higher if u want more. its easy and not too risky i guess.

No way FroyoPro is waay better. Fully working and excellent battery life. Its the continuation of FroyoBread.

Its gingerbread and i think it runs pretty good anf smooth on my w8. Ive been using it for about three months and nothing really matter for daily use:

sorry dude im not a beginner... about custom kernel I cant unlock my bt... so I cant installed rom which using custom kernel...

NO way
no way even on 2.2 and 2.3, you can install it but never get it work because of the hardware limitation
you need ARMV7 CPU to make it work and the X8 is an ARMV6 phone

Everyone has flash on their X8, it's been cracked for ARMV6.

everyone has flash on their X8 but it cant play swf files and it can't display flash animations on the navigator

But who installs flash on their X8 to look at animations or whatever? As long as it plays videos on the browser and iplayer I'm cool.

Help Please...!!

Hi Xda developers and all its users.
I have xperia X8 and i love my phone and using android 2.1 Eclair happily but for so many days i am quite unhappy because of some resons about my phone like
I cant port my apps toy sd card(Main Reason)
Multi touch disability..
So i have just rooted up my phone and install xrecovery 0.1 sucessfully
Now i am bit confused about choosing a rom formy phone..
After reading other threads about same problem some said froyo is better and else said ICS is better..
So guys plz suggest me which rom i should install in my phone which have no bugs and cant be laggy at all...
I can use my phone mostly for gaming,browsing and listening songs.
I like ICS and Jelly beans both..
Is there any custom rom among both of them which i can use....
Please suggest me...

Well since you've just install xRecovery i assume you are using stock kernel.So i suggest you to use GingerDX v028b.

Try kuyadroid 4.5.4 latest version.
Officially corp via W8

i recommend you to use gingerdx rom.the most nice rom for our x8.

go to original android development category,and there you can find rooms like ics,download canoygen mod 7 with ics themes,it has android gingerbread 2.3.7 and its for daily using and it has great performance..

As per u all said i installed Gingerdx...but when i reboot my phone the screen stucks at "SONY ERICSSON" logo...

Install GZR!

your device is on stock kernel so put gingerbread rom/froyo ,its more stable....cause jelly bean and ics are not stable though on custom kernel.

Searching helps. Now, there is no "best rom". But since you pretty much know what you want, i suggest checkinh out the roms in the dev forums and find out which rom suits you best.
