Hey bud, hope I'm not too late.
While applying a default dpi to the native (the ones listed) launcher works, applying a custom dpi will cause the native home launcher to fail or FC. One way to get around to this is to install another home launcher prior to changing the dpi (custom). I experimented with DPI Changer Utility (Free via Market. Also requires Root, but that's not an issue). My current DPI is now set and saved to 132 (custom), which was not initially compatible with the native launcher. Hope this helps.
If I helped please push the thanks button! Please and thank you bro!!

As Mr Quip said, you'll need to install another launcher before you change your dpi settings and reboot. I use ADW launcher - got it during the 10 cent sale but it's worth the full price. I use it on my phone and my touchpad so a pretty good deal for me. Here's what you do:
Install ADW launcher and get it working then change the dpi, reboot and you should have ADW up and running.
Good luck!

Look. It happened to me and drove me crazy. I was about to brick my new mobile phone. In my case it was the “Moon call log” icon on the home screen. Believe it or not when I remove the icon the error message no more appears when I restart the mobile phone. Then again when I place it (the icon on home screen) the annoying error message “Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped” will comeback again. In your case it could be any icon or widget.
I solved the problem by uninstalling the application and installing it back from Play Store unlike what I did before by installing it from the .apk file.

Hey guys,
My dialer shortcut icon at the bottom of the screen to the left of the drawer and web browser button is no longer working. The icon has been replaced with the white and green Android icon that looks very similar to the Market icon. When I click it, it says, "Application is not installed on your phone." I can access the dialer if I put a Contacts icon on my desktop.
How can I fix this problem?
Has anyone encountered this problem? I went into stock recovery mode and I cleared the cache but the dialer icon still does not work.

Will it launch from the app tray? And are you using the stock launcher or a custom one?
I've found every time a built-in app updates I have to remove it from ADW and put it back or it doesn't work. Google Maps, Google Voice... I think those are the two I've noticed it on but pretty sure it's anything that's in the ROM. Maybe that's the issue.
Khaytsus,
Thanks for the response. You were right on the money. It was my ADW Launcher that I installed. The uninstalled and reinstalled ADW and it works perfectly now. Thank you.

erm.. You would not have to reinstall ADW to fix that, just replace the shortcut in ADW, but okay, glad it's fixed
ive installed the cyanogen rc3, which came with the adw launcher. everything was working fine until, i went to my home screen, and noticed the browser and the phone icon next to the app menu icon were missing. does anyone know why they left, or how to get them back. thanks in advance
you could just try adding them again.
drag the icon over the spaces.
no that doesnt work, i think they were there because of the theme i guess, now there just not there. they used to be like the stock froyo has it, iwuth the icons next to the launcher. how can i get those back.
Settings>ADWLauncher>UI Settings make sure LAB and RAB are checked

My NC is fully rooted and I have a bunch of apk's installed and working. My question is how do I get widgets to work ? When I long press on the home screen the only option I get is change wallpaper ?!? Please help ..
Also ... how do I move icons from my EXTRA desktop to the scrolling window at the bottom of the screen ?
Cheers
You need to install a Launcher....something like Launcher Pro or any of the others that have been confirmed to work.

What other launcher apps are there ? I have heard bad things about Launcher Pro ... ?
Thanks
Zeam is an option I've seen that looks pretty good. Apparently you wont have problems as long as you change your wallpaper while in landscape mode .
The official word from B&N is their home/launch doesn't support widgets.

I've been successfully using ADW launcher (with widgets and all).

You can change the default loader back to Touchwiz from within the Nova Launcher settings.

You don't have to make Nova the default.
I have mine set up so the home button launches the weather/clock TW screen.
Then, I have a Nova shortcut in apps that I can click on whenever I want to launch Nova.

Hey folks, i'm here seeking for help; i was using the Nova Launcher on my Moto g and after the latest firmware update ( which gives you the awesome google launcher...*sarcasm*) i noticed that the home button wasn't redirecting me to the Default Page i searched everywhere about this issue, tried changing the options in Nova Launcher , nothing worked. So i had to reset the phone to fix this annoying issue, than i wanted to give it another chance and install Apex Launcher this time, same issue, factory reset again; i was so pissed off that i renounced to try any other launcher but i really don't like google now launcher and i disabled it, now i even noticed that i cannot choose a non scrolling wallpaper with this awesome launcher, anyone else with my same experience? thanks for the help in advance.
