Hey folks, i'm here seeking for help; i was using the Nova Launcher on my Moto g and after the latest firmware update ( which gives you the awesome google launcher...*sarcasm*) i noticed that the home button wasn't redirecting me to the Default Page i searched everywhere about this issue, tried changing the options in Nova Launcher , nothing worked. So i had to reset the phone to fix this annoying issue, than i wanted to give it another chance and install Apex Launcher this time, same issue, factory reset again; i was so pissed off that i renounced to try any other launcher but i really don't like google now launcher and i disabled it, now i even noticed that i cannot choose a non scrolling wallpaper with this awesome launcher, anyone else with my same experience? thanks for the help in advance.

Using Nova here, on latest update, no problems at all
I've tried many launchers in these days (Apex, Apus, Atom, EverythingMe, Aviate...) and home button worked on all of them
and I like Google Now Launcher :<

so can you explain me please why this happens to me? i mean i tried with multiple launchers, and i don't want to reset to factory again my phone...
In nova go setting>gestures and button>check only on default screen.

i tried it already before the reset and it didn't work; ty though for the advice; i read around that even people with the Moto X are having a similar issue.

I want to install the apk of xperia launcher z3 but, when the installation process finish (message is "ok installed"), i try to change the launcher from stock launcher or from nova launcher to xperia z3 launcher, and the app crash immediately.

i too tried to get the xperia launcher but i honestly dont think its compatabile with droid turbo. One thing to check did u make sure to clear defaults first? I cant remember if I did that or not.

I tried to install both xperia xperia launcher launcher is z2 z3.
In both cases, the application crashes immediately.
I tried to make clear date on the home 3 launcher (launcher stock droid), but even that did not work
It will be one of my sets but I want the weather widget animated stock xperia but it does not work as long as you do not install the home xperia.
Some think of any solution?

I have Nova installed and running for the same reason but as soon as I try to add a widget it crashes and reverts to stock launcher
Why not try Nova Launcher it has a lot of customisation options.
First thing I did was install Nova Launcher
Nova for me and I have not experienced any crashes with widgets.
Just installed newest Version Nova Prime and Tesla Unread. Works perfect
Using Action Launcher .
originally using Action launcher using an imported layout and it kept crashing, but since resetting layout it seems stable.
worst thing about huawei phones is how they manage launchers and keep forcing their launcher on you
try also the microsoft launcher...it's amazing... used nova before but it's so cute and minimalistic. I like it.
I'm using nova (prime) and a android p theme. I had a crash when adding widgets once, but now it works fine.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I have a paid version of Nova but it never occurred to me to try it first. I am using it now and I like it, will give the Microsoft launcher a try also.

It seems to be Huawei specific widgets that bork Nova.
Weather Underground is fine, the Huawei Weather widget really upsets Nova, I've had to wipe the app data just to get Nova to restart
I've submitted a crash report and dump to Tesla Coil, so let's see what happens
I think for emui, you need to use third parties widgets if using nova launcher. Some of the emui widgets will cause crash....
anyone using magisk could try and flash the pixel launcher, thats what i plan to do once i get the phone
really love the pixel launcher on my 5T

Hi there, did you do anything specific to get Action Launcher to work in the first place ? i installed and it just crashes immediately when i try and run it (i've sent a bug report to AL dev team).

Completely uninstalled and then reinstalled

I have been using Nova Launcher for years but have switched to Microsoft Launcher as of recent and I have to say that I really enjoy it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.launcher
P.S Just make sure to change default search engine from Bing back to Google and desactivate Cortana

Did the same for me no matter what I tried! Using nova now which I'm more than happy with
I use Lawnchair Launcher + Lawnfeed
Nova is pretty awful on the P20 looks like I will be changing away for the first time in years. Previously had on all my phones including the Pixel 2XL.
3rd party widgets just aren't auto-updating. Another Widget, was stuck on yesterdays event, Agenda Widget doesn't display my full calendar and just says "Loading" guess it's time to find something else. Looked at Microsoft Launcher but don't like the way you can't hide the homescreen indicator taking up space at the bottom and not looking clean like I want.
Pixel Launcher works great.
I'm running Apex launcher on my stock Note 8, and I can't seem to get it to stay saved as the default launcher. I have to reset it constantly. I know this is a common problem, but I can't seem to find a solution. Any pointers?

Have you set Apex as default? Go to settings, apps, hit 3 dots at top, default apps, homescreen.
I'm presently disabling services and packages with adb on my x2. I have Nova launcher installed as my default launcher. I'm thinking of disabling the default huawei stock launcher. Is it safe to disable while Nova is the default launcher?
Lets say I do and something goes wrong in the future where Nova doesnt boot, is there a way to enable usb debugging in the phone since there'd be no launcher present?

Yeah why can't the Chinese version change stock launcher? Can we switch from Chinese?
Chinese version of Huawei phones only allow stock launcher I guess coz they are gathering data. Not just an issue on mate x2. If I can sort this and get tasker working to turn aod on only when a notification comes in then it's the perfect phone for me!

I just recently got my OnePlus 10 (exchanged for S22U) and couldn't find any answer to it:
If I choose number or dot for notifications, it will only appear a dot and if I choose only number, no notification will appear on the app icon at all.
Nova Launcher is unusable, and I don't want only dot on the icon. For my workflow, I need to see the number on the icon.

I works just fine for me. Did you try to re-install perhaps? And make sure permissions are ok?
i have no issues using nova
Nova Prime all working normal

its a bug reported from months in all phones under A12....change launcher makes glitches with native gestures.the only solution is to be root and flash quick swich or a modded launcher frrom magisk

When I switch between home and recents, especially when closing an app or moving from one app to the homescreen, you get a little pop up of the most recent recent app flash up, it's not the end of the world but it's annoying.
I'm using lawn chair but noticed the same with pixel rootless, not sure what other launchers exhibit this issue, maybe it's just oos11 being a bit crap
