If I have both on I can't acess the internet the 3g+ is constantly on as if fetching data but nothing online works.. If I turn off cellular data everything works via WiFi and same goes of I turn WiFi off, cellular data works well..
I had thisproblem with stock 8107, but I flashed DFT ROM to my phone and it's working fine now... maybe you should try it
Same here with mi7-rom. Anyone else?
This thread shouldn't have been made in this Dev section. You already have a thread in General for this.
Disable ADC
delete the following reg keys
hklm/comm/wwan1-(Service Provider)
you may have more than 1 entry, delete them all.
power off the phone to ensure the reg is saved, power on and restart the phone.
This may also help those who are unable to connect with wifi and 3g on at the same time..

if you are still having issues try swapping the sim over to one of a different service provider, even if it doesn't work.
I did that, but now my data connection doesn't work at all. I have a 3G+ connection (Vodafone Netherlands), but none of the webpages actually load.
I've tried rerunning the Samsung Network Profile app (and lost my favourites in the process, great work Samsung ) but that doesn't help either.

I have problems activating 3G data when switching from WiFi.
Before rooting, I used to keep my data off most of the time. If I wasn't in a WiFi area I would manually go to settings>Networks>Mobile Networks and turn my data on. It would show a 3G/H on my status bar.
After rooting and flashing CM7.1, I keep my data on all the time through my power widget in the status bar. Even when I'm not in WiFi, the 3G/H symbol does not show in the status bar.
I have tried switching it on manually from the settings>network>mobile network but that hasn't worked.
I've switched to flight mode and back and rebooted my phone and it hasn't worked.
I have an active 3G data plan from Vodafone with all settings in place
Is there something I can do to make my data plan work again?
it happend me before but i dont have root and im on stock rom,
Hold the power button till phone options pop up and click data network mode and wait.. It could take up to 2min for the phone to fine a 3g/h network. If that dont work try to switch it to 2g. Maybe your carrier has low signal where you are...
If those dont work restore to stock rom.

I have a minimum of three bars of signal anywhere in my house.
Ive tried both 2g/3g
I dont have a data network mode option on CM7 when I press the power button
When I had an unrooted stock rom, the power button button would never work for me

It's an outdated thread, but it's not the correct section, why don't you try to configure APN manually? or coping the correct APN file and setting the correct permissions?

I use HTC One with android 4.4.2 and I have this problem. Wifi Hotspot keeps turning off when screen is turned off. I have looked everywhere in settings and set "Power Mode" in Hotspot settings to "Always on" and "Keep Wifi on during sleep" in Wifi Settings to "Always", and "Sleep Mode" in power options (Turn off Data connection during long periods of inactivity) to Off. But they haven't helped me with this problem.
The only solution I've came up with is to set screen timeout to maximum. I don't know what else to do
could anyone help me with this problem?
I have the same problem, and is likely do to some bug in the HTC code. I am very not happy about it, and this is day 12 so I may need to return the phone.
I have the AT&T variant.

One thing that does work for me is Bluetooth Tethering, with or without the screen being on. So the issue for me is specific to Wifi Hotspot.
Unreal, I am experiencing the same problem with my HTC M9 T-mobile variant. Unrooted. Problem exists in lollipop 5.1 and the new marshmellow 6.0. I can't believe no other people have chimed in on this. I have tethering plan as part of my plan.
I know this has been discussed about before. I have tried all of the other solutions, except a Factory Reset which i do not want to do. I do not have WiFi always scanning enabled. But i do have Location set to Battery Saving and Location Reporting enabled. I never had this problem until yesterday. My phone never sleeps and gets really hot because of the constant awake time. I did not install any new application. Google Play Services updated to 7.x. But i doubt that is the problem. The issue goes away if i switch to LTE only. I'm on stock 5.0 and I'm not rooted so i cannot drill down to see what exactly is eating my battery. Any help is appreciated.
Just an update. This seems to happen only on my Work Wi-fi which is not password protected. It does not happen on my home wifi or any other public access points. Any help is appreciated.
Download this app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer
It will show you the other wifi connections using the same channel and if there are many connections, the phone will struggle more to get hold of a good signal though it shows that it has excellent range.

Out of curiosity, have you posted the same thing on Moto Owners forums too?

Thanks for the reply I have read the same problem been posted on Moto Owners Forum, but it wasn't me
I did install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobidia.android.mdm&hl=en and found that it was Google Backup Transport that was continuously keeping wifi on by downloading something. It does not happen with any other wifi network. I even switched off Backup & Restore. But this does not help.
I know there is no configuration problem in the router, because my Nexus 7 2013 works just fine on Wifi.
Ok..if you have access to the modem settings, try changing IPV6 to IPV4 in the settings.

Unfortunately i do not have access to the modem settings as it is my work Wifi. However, my phone worked fine on the same Network with same settings few days back. Don't know what is wrong with the phone. I don't want to factory reset yet
As the title says, I manually updated using the 5.1 factory image and since have been unae to connect to my home WiFi. I have full signal strength and the pesky exclamation mark beside it.
I've done some reading and found some simple solutions that seem arbitrary but worth trying (forgetting network, adding a DNS number, changing WiFi frequency from automatic to a specified) and have had no luck.
I'm not opposed to factory resetting or flashing fresh I was just curious if anyone had any ideas other than mentioned above. The router has been reset and I've triple checked all the settings. My chromecasts and tablet connect no problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just a thought, try flashing the 95 radio in LMY47D, replace the 98 radio in LMY47E. Its worth a try and won't do any damage.
It seems your connected to WiFi just don't have any home internet, does it work on other devices or wired pc

Never mind just read the last line!
I'm one android 10. Every time when I move away from my home or work WiFi, I get the message: " WiFi signal weak - Calls may be ended if they are made via WiFi.
I never had this message on android 9. WiFi calling is off.
Because Samsung's network coding is an absolute disgrace.
I was hoping they fixed their networking issues both for LTE and WiFi on Android 10, clearly they have made things worse
Is there a way to turn off this message?
Irritating wifi message
Hi, i also am receiving that "Wi-Fi signal weak" message and it is very frustating! Can anyone help to turn of the message? This message doesnt just pop up once. If my signal is weak it pops up every 5-10 secons?... and you must click BACK or OK before you can continue doing what you were doing...
Solved so far...
I see if i disable wifi calling and then reboot my phone, the message seems to stop. Hope it stays solved
